Best sangria I’ve tried in Lisbon. Also the menu has amazing selection of cheeses and meat! Incredible wine selection. Fairly priced!!! Highly recommended

walking through the BARRIO ALTO I found this place very small but with a family atmosphere. the manager is friendly and helpful with customers. Good wines, typical dishes and tobacco can be found. average price quality. I will return.

This is my favourite place in Lisbon so far! Being from Montreal we are very specific with our wine, meat and cheese. This place is the best. Everything was perfect and the man serving us, who I assume is the owner, took such pride in the Portuguese products. As he should - we will be going back tomorrow for more !

Very small and cozy wine bottle shop and bar in Bairro Alto. Professional staff, but I'd appreciate if they talked more about the wines. Maybe they were not perfectly fluent in English and that's why. Still we had a very good experience, they only serve good wines basically.

This little wine bar is excellent. The selection of bottles to take home is very well priced and offers some exciting Portuguese vineyards. The wine served in house was well kept and delicious. If there aren't any tables available outside do go inside as it's well worth a visit.

Went here for a little aperitivo and this place was just perfect. The owner and staff were so welcoming and helpful with picking out some wines to try. I had sampled some of the Vinho Tinto and my wife the Vinho Verde. Both were excellent and we ended up buying a bottle of each (very reasonably priced) to take home with us. We also ordered the chorizo, and it was absolutely one of the best things I ate in Lisbon, perfectly cooked with a little char and the tomatoes that came on the side were amazing, I could have just an entire bowl of those.

Amazing experience - the wine was great and we enjoyed the sardines and charcuterie plate! We didn’t know anything about port, so the owner guided us through the options and ultimately helped us make great selections. The food and drinks were also priced very fairly. Great little wine bar. Unfortunately we couldn’t do a tasting as we were outside peak season however could buy wines by the glass. The owner hand picked wines for us to try based on our preference and was spot on. Owner is a very kind man and very welcoming

Absolutely amazing little wine bar. The wines are great. Selection is vast and best of all, the owner is a professional wine expert with a huge charm. Tell him the wine you like at home and he’ll give you a delicious Portuguese equivalent in seconds without any hesitation. Value for money, great ambience. My favourite spot in Lisbon by far. 5 stars all the way

BacoAlto is THE place to go if you are looking for a great wine bar. The choice in wine is enormous, and every time delicious. José and Antonio are great hosts, super friendly and always happy to share their knowledge with wine and their country. Don't go, run there!

I walked in not knowing what I wanted and I was provided with a tasting of a fantastic red from Portugal and then bought two bottles based solely on their recommendations. It’s clear they know the wine of Portugal extremely well.
