I didn't get the room I paid for. Photos from the booking platform didn't correspond to the room I stayed in and staff was unable to arrange a proper room or compensate in any way (cash, bar/restaurant credit, discounts on tours etc.) for the inferior experience. There is a huge column in the middle of room (#408), right in from of the window. The bed is so close to the wall that one could barely pass (this is a safety hazard in case of fire or other incidents, so be aware) and TV is positioned in the corner of the room, right by the entry door (you simply have to lean every time you enter or leave the room). The layout of this room in particular is an absurd. At the arrival, the staff informed that the building had no water due to maintenance -- it lasted for 2 hours. Would have been kind to be informed of this beforehand. On the second day, there was a problem with the water pump system and the shower intermittently changed temperature from warm to burning hot. Walls had several marks. The furniture was also very poor with usage marks and almost every cabinet handle was loose. Found an extra remote control under the bed and a hand moisturizer under the bed (likely from a previous guest). If you're choosing this hotel, at least make sure they can confirm all details about your room in advance.

Hotel with friendly staff. The problem is that the personnel in the restaurant not speak English and is very difficult to communicate. Also the room is very very small and the price very high...

A homely hotel right in the center of Lisbon. The entire establishment has a very cozy and warm look, and the staff are efficient and helpful. Depending on how high up the building your room is you might also be lucky to have an incredible view over most the city. Breakfast buffet is good although nothing too special. The rooms are a bit small and parking nearby might be difficult and/or pricy, although there are multiple options for public transport within less than a 5 minute walk. Overall a great choice if you're looking for a weekend out or want to stay in the center of Lisbon without spending too much while still getting great service.

The hotel had one critical flaw, only one outlet. Doesn’t everyone have a phone and a computer. The location is lacking good food options nearby. Staff is friendly.

very satisfied if you are looking for a city hotel that is cheap, with a great view from the balcony, conveniently located in the city center, with friendly staff - this is the place for you. we go here every time we are in Lisbon. We don't need a five star luxury hotel to make us feel better. Because this hotel here has been a little insider tip for years, where you can sleep well at a reasonable price. So gladly again.

The Sana Rex Hotel was a moderately pleasant experience, but it came with its fair share of drawbacks. One notable downside was the size of the rooms, which were quite compact, and the bathroom was no exception. The limited space could make it feel somewhat cramped for guests. Another issue was the shower experience. The water flow was disappointingly weak, making it challenging, especially for individuals with thick or long hair. The inconsistent water temperature, alternating between hot and cold, and the low water pressure added to the inconvenience. The one redeeming aspect of the stay was the basic breakfast provided. It offered a reasonable start to the day, providing a variety of options for guests. In summary, the Sana Rex Hotel provided a decent breakfast, but the cramped rooms and subpar shower experience left much to be desired. It's a place that may suit those seeking a budget-friendly option, but it falls short in terms of overall comfort and amenities.

Front desk staff was amazing, housecleaning staff not so much. Rooms are extremely small and cramped. Hotel is very very very outdated. Rooms lack enough electrical plugs to charge phones and laptops. Air conditioner unit was very dirty, if something so visible to clients is dirty I can just imagine the rest. Breakfast is included, but there really isn't much there. Overall, not a hotel i'd stay in again.

It’s a regular hotel but in an excellent location nearby the public transport. Our room was at high floor so we had a very spacious terrace with a great view of the Eduardo VII park. Our room was a little tiny but for a short stay I would not complain about that.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Thanks for the kind lady who arranged our double bedroom with balcony. :)

Rooms very small, especially the bathrooms but hotel is clean and reasonably priced. Double bed was two singles stuck together with a gulf in the middle which wasn't ideal. Breakfast was adequate and no more. Location isn't great for the metro. 2 large hills to walk up from the closest stations which takes 8/10mins so be warned if not mobile. Reception is friendly and helpful but I do dispute their view as to which metro station is closest!

Rooms are small and pretty tired. You can hear everything, that happens in the next room. All the rooms that ends with number 8 have a huge post in the middle of the room, that makes it even smaller. On the positive side I can state the breakfast.

Ok hotel, more 2.5 star than 3 in truth but it was fine . Rooms a little dated, bteakfast was ok, nothing special .friendly enough staff . A little out the way, a good 30 min walk to the better parts of lisbon. Woukd i stay again?? If i really had to yes, but would look for something a bit more central next time

Very outdated hotel and low quality bedroom for a 150 euro per night stay. The WC right next to the bathroom door is flabbergasting. Nonetheless it was clean and the location is nice.

The hotel is close to the down town city. The view that we had from the room was amazing. The people in the reception and in the breakfast are incredible. Just the space that we have in the room is small and in the bathroom, you have the toilet next to a column... The hotel have in the street two free parking.

Unfortunately very bad experience. Lay-over due to cancellation of flight by TAP. No assistance from front desk whatsoever in arranging transportation back to the airport on Sunday morning. 'I can not help you' was what I kept hearing from the reception.

A just OK hotel. Rooms are so small like a match box, I could barely walk around it. Breakfast are just OK. Facilities in general are quite old and not very well maintained. Conveniently located.

Defo wouldn't go back. Maid was lovely and room was clean. Very claustrophobic, heard everyone's confab in rooms on same corridor, doors slamming at all hours. Breakfast very poor and again very crammed. No coffee facilities in room or daily bottled water given .... probably no room. Reception not helpful. Not a good experience. Would not recommend.

Stayed here for one night, and that was already too long. Aside from the good location, there are no other redeeming qualities about this hotel. 1. There was an awful sewage smell coming from the bathroom as if there's a burst pipe somewhere. I couldn't pinpoint where the smell was coming out of, but it stunk up the entire hotel room. 2. The whole room only has one power outlet in a very inconvenient location. 3. The furnishing was extremely dated. 4. Price was higher than competing hotels in the area. I made a mistake picking this one.

Old…renovations are overdue and staff could certainly make an effort to make guests feel welcomed.

Top location for getting about Lisbon. Rooms are a little small and dated but the service is really good and there is a very homely feel to the hotel. Nice buffet breakfast and lobby bar. An affordable but friendly alternative to hugely expansive hotels nearby.

A little over priced for what you get. Aged, small bathroom in suite, but clean and plenty of towels. Air-con was excellent. In a very nice area. Taxi rank outside, and lots of local transport links nearby. Walk to the top of the park for a great view.
