This truly is a great hotel within Lisbon. It has so much character and style that I personally love, from the doors when you first enter, to the wide hallways and stairs. Every part including the bedrooms just a boutique style to them. Every single member of staff is lovely, helpful and very informative. The only thing that needs a bit more attention are the bathrooms but they are still of a good quality. And Id you don’t like hills then this hotel (we’ll all of Lisbon actually) won’t be for you. But it was a very, very good hotel.

The staff were very nice and the breakfast was absolutely delicious BUT the room was tiny, they didn't clean the room between the nights that we stayed there and the most crucial part is the horrific location. It says on booking that it is close to the center but it is only by air ! The truth is that the hotel is located on the top of a hill that contains within it a very unpleasant neighborhood that is genuinely scary to walk through not at day time. For me the location had really ruined the city experience..

Lage: etwa 100m über der Innenstadt gelegen. Also muss man schon noch gut zu Fuß sein. Teilweise muss man durch etwas schummerige Gassen aufsteigen. Ansonsten ruhig gelegen in der Alfama. - Zimmer: Alles was man benötigt vorhanden. Safe auch. Täglich neues Wasser. Ein paar Setzrisse etc. Vorhanden.

Really great accommodation in Lisbon , spent only one night here but wish I had spent more. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and big and had a great view of the city . The breakfast in the morning was lovely. Would recommend staying here

Central location, the guesthouse is unique and beautiful. Room was quite small, there were a lot of choices for breakfast but hot food was served cold.

Our superior double room with a balcony looked great at first glance but we later discovered the walls around the windows were covered in mold which also explains the slightly funky smell in the room. We hardly got any sleep on the first night as there was loud sounds from everywhere transferring through the really thin walls and when we finally did, we were awaken early by the church bell ringing often right outside the window. We asked to be moved to a quieter room and they moved us to a room facing the hotel terrace (open to everyone). After visiting the terrace we realised that the blinds they have covering the bathroom windows allow clear views into the bathroom, making it really uncomfortable to use from that point on. The hotel is located on top of a steep hill making it very hard to reach with luggage or if you have any health conditions. Neighbourhood feels unsafe.

Not so clean, especially for the buffet place, if you visit it in the afternoon, you can find flies around. The customer service was generally good. The location made me suffer a bit. If you were new to the city like me and visit the hotel after taking the public transportation, then with a high likelihood you would have to climb all the way up to the peak of this hill.. what a pain

Amazing location. Even better staff( shout out to Carolina and the gentleman that day(forgot his name) who made sure everything was perfect and provided a detailed breakdown on transport and things to do in Lisbon. Breakfast included was fresh and tasty. Rooms were always clean and super close to 2 stations, food and services

Good value. Breakfast good. Poeple working there excellent. It is a 10 minute walk to centre but only if physically fit, very steep to get back. Situated in middle of housing, locals gather at bottom of hill to socialise, could see this could intimidate solo travelers but must stress no hint of trouble or intimidation. Feel this hotel good place to stay.

200 euros per night for a backpacker hostel? Our room was a 9 sqm long corridor with a tiny bed. Don’t understand how this can be sold at that price. Super Disappointed.

I recently stayed at Quinta Colina by Shiadu and expected a lot based on the reviews. There were good things but also bad things which outweighed the good, unfortunately. I'll start with the good stuff - Pedro at the front desk was very helpful and kind at check-in, the views from the terrace were stunning, and the breakfast options were plenty and pretty tasty. Now on to the bad things, which warrant the review I'm leaving. The room that I was in just wasn't cleaned well. It started with hair on the floor, hair stuck to the walls, dead bugs squashed still on the walls, other stains on the walls, and stains on the sheets. I noticed these things as I settled for the evening, and the reception had already left, so I couldn't do much at that point. I took photos of the issues, which I even mentioned to the staff in the morning when they asked how everything was (still happy to share with the team so they can address cleaning concerns). They apologized, but I hope they get it together with the cleaning and care of the rooms. Another thing was the noise from other guests late at night/very early in the morning. I'm very familiar with older buildings in Lisbon. To be fully soundproof is not possible, nor did I expect that. However, being that my room was near the terrace entrance and other guests were going up at all hours of the night, I slept maybe 2-3 hours. They may need to work on better ways to reduce the noise coming into the rooms or limit access to the terrace after midnight or so. They do have signs all over to be quiet, but the signs aren't doing much for guests staying. Given this situation, I would not stay here again, or any other Shiado-run hotel, nor recommend them to family or friends.

The room was ok,not something special,a little bit old and bad isolation.unfortunately we didn't have any view in our room.the stuff was really kind and helpful and the breakfast was really good, with nice coffee , with a big variety of products , sweets, fruits and you choose the kind of eggs you want.the location was good,7minutes to the center, but only if you want to do a work out training ,cause a lot of stairs and high intense roads to walk... Generally speaking, value for money !

Quinta Colina is a super cute hotel. The check-in process was so lovely with kind staff like Carolina and her colleague who offered us wine for our honeymoon. The location is great, quiet street across a church. The breakfast staff are really kind and helpful. I’d recommend this hotel to a family or friend.

Located very central in Lisbon, at walk distance from the center of the town. The rooms are relatively simple but all individually decorated. The staff is super attentive, gentle, and caring: always ready to help you. The breakfast starts too late for my preferences (07:30) but it's very good and fresh.

Thank you very much for my wonderful stay over 9 nights! Everything was perfect and I enjoyed my time there with all my heart! I liked the closeness to the downtown, the atmosphere and establishment in the old building, I loved the personal contacts with the exceptionally friendly and cool staff - Carolina, Joana and the other nice guy! They made the place feel like a home! I enjoyed the delicious breakfast at the terrasse with the wonderful view. My room towards the church/street was very quiet. I will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone. All the best, Caroline

This was by far one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially with a vegan diet. They went out of their way to make foods each morning for breakfast that was vegan for me, and provided excellent recommendations for my trip in Lisbon. The hotel was picturesque and well taken care of. The views from the rooftop are legendary and are worth watching the sunset from. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Great place to stay in Lisbon, staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, location is great- walk anywhere within15-20 minutes. Sheets are clean, room is good size, view is amazing. The only complaint was that bathroom was missing sone ahelf space, nowwhere to put toiletries- all morning things falling down 😀 Still highly recommend it, and would stay next tine if visiting!

This is a great place to stay in Lisboa. I stayed two nights in a superior room. Hospitality is outstanding and very accommodating. You will have nice view from the roof top terrace while you enjoy a coffee or you have to work (in my case, even there you have reliable Wifi connection). My room was heading to the street and I was able to sleep with an open window. The breakfast is great, homemade pastries, deli, various bread, fresh orange juice. My only concern: the coffee is a typical self service machine instead freshly brewed. Portugal has such a great tradition in coffee why using a self service machine? I would even pay for a fresh made pingado. ;) However this place is a steal and you will enjoy the stay for sure. I will come back for sure. Thanks Quinta Colina

My wife and I absolutely loved staying at the Quinta Colina during our recent vacation to Portugal in June 2023. The location is a close walk to downtown, the rooms and facility are charming with a wonderful rooftop patio overlooking the city, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations for a boutique hotel. Most importantly, the staff are exceptional. Both Alex and Daniel were very friendly and super helpful with all of our questions about getting around Lisbon. Would highly recommend staying here.
