Probably one of the best, most reasonably priced places I have ever stayed. We were there as part of a group of 8, the rooms were beautiful, huge, modern and very clean with lots of little touches like the water bottles/coffee machines. The breakfast was great too! The location was perfect, close to everything. The staff were the highlight, extremely lovely, helpful, organised and made us feel very welcomed, nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We stayed in the suite which was great and quite cheap actually. It was spacy, had a room for clothes and a nice little balcony to the backalley street. The bathroom was well designed and clean. The TV connection was bad. Access codes to the room and hotel worked randomly. Sometimes they didn't. Breakfast was good. Staff was eager to help. I would recommend this quite perfectly located small, cozy hotel.

Warning! Alocrim do Chiado did not disclose the excessive noise from the street parties at all hours of the night. If you pay for the balcony room be aware that your over the main walkable thoroughfare to the pink street party zone. Worse still, if your in room 6 your bed is directly above the banging lobby door which starts just about the same time as the street noise ends. I expected at least a partial refund because the hotel manger did not disclose the excessive noise level in this room. Denied. The singing drunkards on the street I would tolerate, but the banging lobby door won’t allow anyone a moments quiet.

Exceptional service from the moment we walked in the door. Claudia the Concierge treated us like long-lost relatives (the kind you're happy to see). The room was immaculate, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was modern and everything worked like it should. Breakfast is prepared to order for you along with assorted pastries, fruit, breads and cheeses. The hotel is located just uphill from Pink Street and river. Time Out (trendy food-court, I recommend it) is a five minute walk. The train station, restaurants, padarias, bars and clubs are all close by. After our three night stay we were a little sad to leave the place.

We spent 3 nights at this beautiful small hotel in the heart of Chiado district - all POIs in central Lisbon were at walking distance. The rooms are spacious and chic, and you have a nice and intimate feeling. The breakfast is also very good. The only small improvement that we identified is that the room could use more storage space (e.g.: closet, shelves). What makes the real difference at this hotel is the people: extremely nice staff who helped us with everything we needed during our stay.

It is the perfect combination of comfort, upscale service with a friendly approach. Absolutely loved it and it is in the perfect location. Also, pet friendly and truly catered to welcome our furry kids. Good Internet in the rooms. Lovely breakfast ( as a vegan I enjoyed the beautiful array of fruit I had access to to start my day with)

Beautiful hotel. Staff were so friendly, especially at reception. Room was large with everything we could need, very nice decor and breakfast was brilliant.

We stayed for a few evening during our most recent trip and this hotel was wonderful. The location is perfect as you can walk to everything in the main section of the city. Plenty of restaurants, cafe's, and shopping within a few moments walk. The staff are all amazing but a special mention of Claudia who was most welcoming. She made sure we were well situated at the hotel and plenty of tips for places to visit during our stay in Lisbon. The morning breakfast is amazing as well. Staying here is not like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. And that is a great thing!

Stayed here for one night on a stopover from Paris to the US (if flying TAP airlines, take full advantage of the stopover option). We did a day trip and arrived here in the late afternoon. The property was great. Recently revamped, the room was spacious and very clean. Standup shower was an added bonus. We were in room 6, which, if you read the reviews, has some issues with noise from the big door being knocked on all during the night. I don't know if we were just so tired from our week in Paris that we didn't notice it, or if it just wasn't that bad, but it didn't bother us. You are in the heart of the nightlife district here (3 min walk). We were here in the winter on a Friday and the area started getting really busy around 10pm when we were done with dinner. Our tour guide and also Uber drivers told us that during the summer, it is wall to wall people on the weekend nights and that the clubs don't open until 1am. If you are light sleeper, you may want to keep that in mind. Definitely a great property and one I would return to if back in Lisbon.

We were very excited to visit Portugal, but unfortunately we couldn't make it as we ran out of battery as we drove from Cadiz to "Portugal." Charge points in Portugal are not efficient if you don't have a special top-up card, so if you are thinking of taking your electric car from Europe to Portugal, think about it. We were in the middle of a motorway somewhere in Portugal, 4 hours to Lisbon, when we called the hotel to inform them that we were stuck and didn't know if we could make it and that they should let us know if they could help, like refund the reservation or change the date. The person at reception said that the next day they would contact us. The next day never came, so we called one more time after two weeks. They apologized and said they would contact me later on or tomorrow, but they never did. After one week more, I contact them by email, and they say that they can't do anything, they even want us to refund one night's accommodation as we already informed them 24 hours before for the second night! That was very unfair; they even had sympathy, compassion for our situation, they could say, "Sorry, yes, we can move the day for you," only give you 10% less, etc. No at all, they just take your money and don't care about you at all. For this reason, I don't recommend this hotel in Lisbon. Don't have any idea what customer service is; even though we explained that we go to Lisbon for work often, it's very bad.

My husband and I stayed here with our adult children for my 60th birthday. We were so happy with this choice of hotels. First, the location is in a fantastic neighborhood, centrally located, fun and exciting. We just about walked everywhere from the hotel that we wanted to go. Second, the hospitality and service in the hotel is amazing. Every single person that we met that works in this hotel is incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home and help us with directions, answer our questions, restaurant recommendations, and assist us with reservations, etc. Third, the rooms are beautiful, bright and spacious, and beds were very comfortable. We had rooms 1, 3, 6, and 9. Although there is some city noise, no one in our party found noise problematic and everyone slept well. The breakfast is fantastic and charming and has everything from fresh fruit and juice, yogurts, breads, pastries, made to order omelettes, (as well as muesli and soy milk and more for vegan diets). This was a wonderful place to stay and the best birthday ever! I really loved this hotel. We hope to come back again!

We stayed for 11 nights at the hotel and everything was just perfect. Any problem, such as operating the safe, was immediately resolved. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and rich. Location is central and has a unique vibe. Staff was friendly and helpful with good advices. Room was spacious and clean, nicely decorated. With coffee, tea and water provided. The only thing I missed was a minibar.

This hotel is an amazing price for the level of luxury the experience, the room, and the staff provide. Everything is sparking clean, the staff are very attentive, and they go above and beyond to ensure that your exceeds your expectations. Breakfast was also very delicious, personalized, and attentive. I would stay here again and again just to take a shower in the lovely bathroom or sleep in the perfect sheets!

The location was very central, the room was excellent and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was abundant and tasty allowing you to go most of the day without replenishment. I loved this place and will go back !

Great boutique hotel. The atmosphere, the design of the lobby, the rooms and the overall building is very relaxing and intimate. The hotel is quiet and vertical relaxing with a chill atmosphere perfect for holiday with your significant other or the family. The major highlight are the room service and the service of the staff overall. They’re very nice and made us feel like they’ll go overboard to make our stay memorable and cozy. The breakfast is top notch and the kitchen staff will always make sure you have a good start on you day in Lisbon. One annoyance I could think of was the fact that the Wi-Fi didn’t work properly most of the time. It’s not a make or break situation (hence the 5 star rating regardless) but it is something to consider if you’re limited with your provider. All in all a great stay which I’ll make sure to recommend to friends and family alike.

Ok, but not the room 6! I will say that the decoration and breakfast is Lovely, but being awaken by people banging the below front door is not. I asked if we could be moved to a different room, which Helena informed that we would have the same problem. The manager Claudia had told us upon arrival to be careful with opening/closing the door, which we did not paid much attention after 12h flight but now it just indicates that they are very much aware of how loud it can be. A few hundred euros and you can get a sliding door and solve the problem! We left before planned (at check out time and the cleaning lady was right at the door waiting for us haha) with no option of other room, refund or apology. We went to another local hotel that we were extremely welcomed and pleased. Conclusion: there’s better options out there!

A charming small hotel in European Portuguese style. Large room, very clean and an amazing reception. We don’t understand people complaining about the noise as our room was on the ground floor facing a bar; as soon as we closed the window we couldn’t hear anything from the outside. This hotel has a great location in Barrio Alto, the heart of Lisbon’s night life!! We also don’t understand people complaining about the reception as we thought the welcome above and beyond. Delicious breakfast included.

We were guests for four nights. The hotel is quite charming and absolutely centrally located, the breakfast is very good. However: you have to be aware that it is exceptionally noisy in this old building. We did not sleep peacefully on any night. In the first room (no. 2 - Suite) on the ground floor there was a 1cm gap in the room door to the hallway - you could hear every conversation at the reception, every arriving guest and also noises (shower, phone calls) loudly from other rooms across the hallway (not through the wall, but really through two room doors across the hallway) until late at night. As loud as if people were standing in the room with us and talking. In room no. 6 (master suite, first floor), which we changed to, the background noise was similar. You could hear other guests very loudly from the room above and next to us (old floorboards, every step can be heard). In addition, this room faces the main road above the entrance. You can hear people partying and bawling, cars running, all night into the morning hours. In our opinion, it is not recommended for a relaxed, restful time - for a sleepless city trip it is fine.
