I
recently
stayed
at
this
beautiful
old
hotel
for
four
nights,
and
while
there
were
some
notable
positives,
several
issues
marred
the
experience.
Let's
start
with
the
positives:
The
hotel's
historic
charm
is
undeniable,
and
the
staff
were
exceptionally
attentive
and
accommodating
throughout
our
stay.
They
were
quick
to
apologize
for
the
inconveniences
we
encountered,
which
I
appreciated.
However,
there
were
several
significant
drawbacks.
Firstly,
there
was
a
security
breach
in
the
booking
system,
leading
to
a
concerning
message
via
the
booking.com
app
requesting
bank
details.
Additionally,
we
experienced
a
distressing
encounter
with
a
cockroach,
the
largest
I've
seen
in
Europe,
which
was
quite
unsettling.
Furthermore,
a
persistent
bad
smell
emanating
from
downstairs
made
it
impossible
to
open
the
window
for
fresh
air.
The
malfunctioning
air
conditioning,
set
up
for
heating
only,
compounded
the
discomfort
of
the
room's
temperature.
To
add
to
the
list,
the
telephone
was
non-functional,
and
the
shower
door
unexpectedly
fell
out
of
its
rails.
Fortunately,
due
to
the
unbearable
odor,
we
were
offered
the
opportunity
to
change
rooms
for
our
final
night,
which
provided
some
relief.
Despite
the
hotel's
charm
and
the
efforts
of
the
staff,
the
numerous
inconveniences
significantly
detracted
from
our
overall
experience.
