Excellent location, in the center of Lisbon’s old town. Just a few minutes away from Rossio, Cais do sodre... Rooms are clean are well furnished, however our room was smaller than expected from the photos. Breakfast choice is very limited due to covid, basically the same food everyday, a bit disappointing.

Great location and nice rooms but the breakfast isn’t great and the building itself isn’t kept as nicely as the rooms. The plumbing in the building is pretty loud, AC was rattling and the flusher of the toilet kept coming off the wall.

Charming and beautiful! We visited Lisbon around 5 times over the last 8 years and have to say Bordalo Palace was the best place we have stayed! Location: in the heart of Chiado, many cafes, shops and restaurants nearby. But not overcrowded with tourist on that particular spot. Walkable to many historical sites. Rooms: spacious and comfortable. Amazing ceiling! The Dear Lisbon team has managed to keep most of the historical charming features of the palace. Service: great, very helpful team. They even provide a cart with juice and croissant on our last night of the stay so that we had something to eat before our early morning flight! Breakfast: small room with good choices from 8-10am (sometimes not enough table/seats) Thank you so much for making our trip to Lisbon a lot more fun and comfortable!

We spent amazing time in this place. Hotel crew was so nice and helpful with everything. They took a good care of us during whole stay. Room was very clean and well equipped. Other than that we had interesting breakfast everyday with high-quality products. Hotel is located in very good location - majority of interesting places can be reached by short walk. If we’ll come back to Lisbon- this is our place to stay. I fully recommend this hotel.

We spend a wonderful week at the Dear Lisbon Bordalo House. The room was huge and very tasteful interior. Breakfast was always fresh and plenty, even if we showed up right before it closed. All the personell was very helpful with suggestions and insight information.

I recently stayed at this beautiful old hotel for four nights, and while there were some notable positives, several issues marred the experience. Let's start with the positives: The hotel's historic charm is undeniable, and the staff were exceptionally attentive and accommodating throughout our stay. They were quick to apologize for the inconveniences we encountered, which I appreciated. However, there were several significant drawbacks. Firstly, there was a security breach in the booking system, leading to a concerning message via the booking.com app requesting bank details. Additionally, we experienced a distressing encounter with a cockroach, the largest I've seen in Europe, which was quite unsettling. Furthermore, a persistent bad smell emanating from downstairs made it impossible to open the window for fresh air. The malfunctioning air conditioning, set up for heating only, compounded the discomfort of the room's temperature. To add to the list, the telephone was non-functional, and the shower door unexpectedly fell out of its rails. Fortunately, due to the unbearable odor, we were offered the opportunity to change rooms for our final night, which provided some relief. Despite the hotel's charm and the efforts of the staff, the numerous inconveniences significantly detracted from our overall experience.

Cannot thank the folks at Dear Lisbon - Bordalo enough for our lovely stay in Lisbon. The room was very spacious and bed comfy. Our room was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was really great and they made very good cappuccinos to start the day. The service was amazing and the staff were all so nice. The location is great - nice and central but not right in the middle of the touristy area. So many great places to eat nearby. So sad our Lisbon holiday is over already. Would stay here again without a doubt.

So much to love about this hotel. The location is great, the building is gorgeous, and the staff is awesome. But there is a horrible grinding noise that literally shakes the building when you turn on any of the water taps. I understand that this is due to a pump required because of the old building, but I have never heard a pump like this before and strongly suspect it needs to be fixed. It is annoying during the day, and more so at night. I am glad I only spent one night there otherwise it would probably have been enough to cause me to move.

I had the most wonderful stay at your hotel in the heart of Lisbon!♥️ The exceptional staff's sensitivity and attentiveness made me feel truly valued throughout my stay. The delicious and varied breakfast options were a delightful way to start each day. Not to mention, the impeccable cleanliness and tidiness of the accommodations added to the overall sense of comfort. Thank you for creating such a remarkable experience—I can't wait to return!✨

What a gem! We have rarely experienced such a beautiful hotel with such incredibly warm hospitality! The Bordalo House is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! The hotel is in a historic building, the rooms are beautifully furnished, generously equipped with every comfort, bright and freshly cleaned every day. The breakfast leaves nothing to be leaves nothing to be desired! Everything is fresh and there is always something new and surprising on offer! But the best thing is the hospitality of the staff and people in this hotel, who turn a pleasant stay into an experience of "coming home" and are always there for you. Great.

Could not have chosen a better situated hotel. Could not be happier with the attentiveness and assistance on more than one occasion. Superb breakfasts. Outstanding room & housekeeping. Very comfy linens & bed. Spotless bathroom, good plumbing, water pressure, in-room amenities. Great attention to detail is what this hotel is about. All staff really passionate about what they do. Thank you for making our stay as seamless as possible. We appreciate it.

I had a wonderful experience at the Bordalo House. My experience started off wonderfully with a transfer to the hotel from the airport. All of the staff were wonderful and friendly especially Gabriel and Older! The building was beautiful and so was my room. We stayed in room #1. The hotel felt both historic and modern. I only wished it had a sitting area with a small table in the room. Perfect location near attractions, restaurants and public transportation. The included breakfast was wonderful and tasty. The breakfast staff was also very friendly! The cleaning staff did a wonderful job at keeping the hotel nice and welcoming! I would highly recommend a stay at Dear Lisbon - Bordalo House.

    · Excellent central location between Chiado and the Barrio Alto. Lots of bars and restaurants within 5min walking. Staff so friendly and helpful, a special mention for Daniel and Mariana. Only 9 rooms in total, so a lovely intimate feel. Special little treats such as pastel de nata and port with personal handwritten notes really made our stay memorable. Rooms spacious, nice Rituals toiletries as well. Breakfast good as well with nice selection of charcuterie, cheese, fruit, salad, pastries and bread, as well as eggs. Thoroughly recommended! Wonderful memories despite the terrible weather

I can only rate 3 star as they charge 5 star hotel price without delivering 5 star service, no free daily drinking water, no lift, ladies on duty so you would not expect them with your heavy luggage. And the room I stayed, no.3, is next to a restaurant which plays loud music whole day

We recently stayed at this location. Everything was excellent. Location was perfect. Special shoutout to Daniel, who arranged a last minute tour to Sintra. The room was clean and comfortable. Having Daniel go that extra mile, really made our stay extra special !! Thanks Daniel - from Rick & Kathy

Intimate rooms and atmosphere, well located near the center of Lisbon but off the main roads. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the staff are friendly and went above and beyond, cooking an early breakfast by request and ending with a beautiful hand-written note.

We had never been to Lisbon before so was unsure which area to stay but we could not have chosen a better situated hotel. The hotel was perfect. Staff were attentive and super helpful. House keeping was very good!!! Big bed with lovely linen with spotless amenities. Great attention to detail all round. Each staff member were so friendly and helpful. No ask was too big or small. Flawless stay. Would highly recommend and stay again in the future!

Great location, awesome staff, clean big rooms, well decorated and a tasty breakfast. What else can you ask for? Only issue for some might be that there is no elevator. Not for us. Conplementary water, coffee and porto wine.

Could not recommend Dear Lisbon -Bordalo House enough, I’d give it 6 stars if possible. Always a friendly welcome on arrival and when returning throughout our stay, room was spacious, luxurious and freshly decorated, bed was super comfy, shower was so powerful and the included buffet breakfast was just perfect. Very rare for a hotel/B&B, I cannot fault anything from our stay. We stayed in room 1, front of the hotel with the largest balcony over the main entrance.

Wonderful front desk lady, Joana made our stay very special. She helped us in so many ways and treated us very well. She is the best front staff we've ever met. We'd love to come back here if she's here! Just one thing is the little music noise coming from the cafe down stairs.

To be honest it was quite disappointing. It is true that rooms are charming and it has a good location, but there are a lot of hotels with such qualities. However, they gave me a room above a pub and the noise and vibrations were horrible. I had to stay there until next day they moved us into another room. It was impossible to rest! Obviously I claimed for a compensation and even though everyone working in the hotel agreed with me there were no one in the whole weekend to decide what to do. I came back home and now they do not answer my mails. Quite a shame on them! I should have gone without paying that night.
