A very convenient setting just outside of the main busy roads, with bars and shops close by, managed to be able to get to most locations within 15-20 walk. Beautiful rooms with lots of space and storage, comfy mattresses and couch, great bathroom facilities and a large shower.(Daily housekeeping too) A great breakfast with freshly baked pastries and to top it off great friendly service from the staff.

In the heart of the Barrio Alto. Rooms are small but that is fine to me. As said you are in the Barrio Alto. They are clean and the bathroom has a nice Design. Hospitality was very good. You will get an instruction when you are arriving late to the property and how to pick up the keys. Easy. :) Talking about the Barrio Alto as neighborhood. It's where people go out and have drinks on the street. It's a great neighborhood to explore and the hotel is in a side street. One night I slept with an open window and at three am a group was walking thru the streets loudly singing. Lesson learned. Sleep with a closed window. ;) The property has a small patio with tables and chairs where you can relax or enjoy your breakfast. Be aware of the pigeons. ;) But service was outstanding during breakfast. A pigeon was enjoying my breakfast while I was getting a fresh coffee inside. Within a minute I got a new set and filled plate from the buffet. The only concern: the carpet in the hallway is full of stains and needs to be renewed. It brings the whole appearance of the place a bit down. However I can recommend this place and I had a great time there.

We adored our stay at Charming House. The area was ideal, just a short walk or uber from the best bars, restaurants and shops. Our room was beautiful, I booked the Junior Suite with Garden View and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great (especially the eggs) and all the staff we encountered were so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here and thank you Dear Lisbon for helping to make our first trip to Portugal so wonderful.

Dear Lisbon Charming House is a great place to stay! The staff is amazing (especially Ines and Manez). They go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need, are friendly, knowledgeable, and make you feel at home (in fact, they even say “this is your home”). I asked for Almond milk at breakfast (a great breakfast is included) and they got me Almond milk every day after that without me having to ask. There were many instances like that, where they are really attuned to your needs. It’s in a great location, convenient to attractions, Tram28, restaurants, shops, etc. But it’s in a fairly quiet area. True to it’s name, it is a charming facility. They have a great patio area, and 2 comfortable lobbies, a small pool. Just a very relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend Dear Lisbon Charming House!

My first time to Lisbon and this was the perfect place to stay. Located right on the famous tram #28 that takes you all around the city. The best service I have ever had. Inez and her staff are wonderful and will help make your time in Lisbon unforgettable.

We’ve stayed in this hotel from 21-06 till 26-06. We found it to be a nice hotel on a perfect location in the center. Tram 28 was at a stone throw away and within 5 minutes walking you are in a small area with nice restaurants. The rooms a not very big, but perfect for a couple of days. The breakfast was good, not abundant but of good quality. The common area was very nice, even though we did nog make use of the pool and garden, we noticed it had a very cozy feel to it. The only comment I have would be on the room, they were modern but in need of a little bit of TLC. As a closing note I want to thank the staff. They go out of their way to help you with advise about daytrips and everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Muito obrigado a todos.

Dear lisbon charming house is a must place to stay in lisbon. The staff is excellent, friendly and very helpful. The hotel is situation in a great location. Adrian who checked us in was fantastic. He gave us great recommendations of restaurants and was extremely welcoming. It is a nice touch that they leave itinerary suggestion on the bed and also a handwritten letter on the night of departure. Keep up the great work and will definitely be back. A must place to stay

We had a great stay here. They were always very accommodating to ensure we had all we needed. We thought it was a lovely touch that a bottle of port and some pastel del natas were provided when we got in our room. Breakfast was also great. Would stay again.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I arrived at the property was told my booking had been moved to another property (without being notified or having agreed). Was then told to walk to the other property and that I should be happy that I was accommodated. I promptly left the new property as it was not what I had booked or what I wanted (on a busy main road) and after attempting to get a refund for both nights over various weeks was then told I stayed at my original booking. I rarely write negative reviews but the customer service I received at this hotel was appalling. Will avoid the whole chain.

The location of the hotel was great and the staff were really kind. Great breakfast. Unfortunately, the room was quite small and had a low, sloping ceiling on one side making some of the spaces uncomfortable to use (we both banged our heads in the bathroom!) We didn't see any other rooms so maybe those on the lower floors are better. We had a good stay but I didn't think the room was worth the price.

Super nice, cozy and personal hotel. The staff is very warm and welcoming and they really take the time to answer your questions. They have great suggestions for good food, give great tips for sights and are happy to help you. They show genuine interest, in short, everyone is really sweet and I can recommend Charming House to everyone! We will definitely come back!

In love with this stay. It is within walking distance of many key points of Lisbon, and quick to access for cab app cars (you just need to walk to the main street, down 10 seconds). The service staff is very friendly, efficient, and attentive to all needs. The hotel offers a varied and tasty breakfast. There is a small pool, perfect to save your day if you are suffering from the heat, ideal for a break in the middle of the day walking around the city. The facilities are comfortable, good quality, functional. In short, it is a very comfortable place, with powerful air conditioning! I absolutely recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in Lisbon! The best thing about the hotel is the staff, especially InĂŞs. We had a problem during our stay with a payment at a restaurant and InĂŞs was so helpful and lovely, she really goes above and beyond for guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast was so delicious, especially the fresh pastries and fruit. The hotel itself is so beautiful and well presented.

Dear Lisbon Charming House is the absolute best place to stay in Lisbon! The staff were incredibly helpful in providing recommendations, helping us secure reservations and making our stay as pleasant as possible. Upon arrival, we were greeted with coffee and wine in the courtyard—a welcome treat after our redeye flight! Our room was well-decorated, spacious and clean. Most of all, the location was perfect—just a short walk to the best restaurants, bars and neighborhoods. I cannot recommend this place enough! You must stay at the DL Charming House!

We had an amazing stay at Bairro House. Everything was very clean, and people were very friendly and welcoming. Yes it is located in a very noisy area (at night) since it's in a street where night life happens, but when the windows are closed, you won't hear a thing which is great. I would totally go back and recommend it to anyone wanting to be in the center of the night life in Lisbon. 5 Stars are well deserved! Thank you for this great experience!

Awful experience..room was great but I was robbed and then told to “prove it to the police” the mangling director fabina was very very aggressive and rude, the two concierge men were fantastic and were so apologetic but the manager was insane, she told me that I was a lier and her staff are the best and honest.yet they took all my birthday cash from the room after we was not informed of a safety deposit box! Avoid at all costs it’s not worth the headache and you’ll be discriminated against if your English!!

It was OK, not more than that. Our room was at the 3rd floor so we had to lift our luggage all the way up ourselves as there is no elevator. The entrance and shared areas are big and classy with many paintings but frankly speaking I would have preferred to have a bigger, more comfortable room with a good breakfast. Very low ceilings in the room, especially in the badroom and in the corner of the bedroom. The room was smaller than expected and the balcony wasn’t so comfortable either. No view at all due to a large tree very close to the balcony. Due to covid they had to serve breakfast at your table. We were there for 7 nights and each and every day it was pretty much the same thing. It was not always enough and when we asked for more it wasn’t always possible as they ran out of stock of food. The service wasn’t so good either, sometimes the girls were even rude and didn’t speak back if you asked them for something. Some days it took them ages to bring breakfast, quite annoying when you’re in a rush. I wouldn’t bother choosing this hotel for the swimming pool, it’s tiny and dirty. We haven’t seen any guests in the pool and there are only two old seats. There isn’t much sun there as well. The hotel itself had a good location, which was a plus; 10-15 min walk to Bairro Alto.

Lovely top floor suite with a view. Elegantly presented breakfast with coffee, croissant, jam, boiled eggs, cold cuts, bread, yogurt, and granola mix. Friendly staff. Would return

Do not stay here if you expect industry-standard service. On top of subpar service and being understaffed, the shower was moldy, bathroom has bugs, and the place is just OLD. I must exclude Ricardo from the complaints. Ricardo was wonderful and as helpful as he could be. He is the front desk manager, and also provided services as a baggage handler, waiter, and more. They really should pay him more - him doing so many jobs is very telling of how greedy executive staff is. I suggest seeking better options!

I have never left a bad review for a place before but this felt necessary, We were really looking forward to this stay as it was meant to be our wedding accommodation but due to COVID the wedding was cancelled. However that didn’t stop us from enjoying a few nights in the hotel. How disappointed we were. We were first of all put in the wrong room to the one we booked (tiny and no terrace) and were only allowed to move the following day. There was no soap put in the room the whole stay despite having the room cleaned a couple times. The carpets were filthy throughout the hotel. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. All rooms have fire doors that slam very loudly at all hours of the day when guests return to their rooms. The breakfast was slow due to understaffing. And to top it all off they charged us for 3 nights at the price of the room we should have stayed in despite us only have 2 nights in that room. When I disputed that the guy at reception asked us to pay anyway and reassured us that we would be contacted straight away by the operations manager with a refund for the difference. I have sent numerous emails and called plenty times and am yet to receive my refund. Lisbon is one of the most breathtaking and captivating cities and unfortunately this hotel does it a great disservice. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else! Plenty amazing Airbnbs or other hotels like The Lumiares Lisbon, The Vintage Hotel Lisbon, The One Palácio de Anunciada, to name a few.

We stayed for four nights at Charming House and really enjoyed it. Our room was light, cosy and very clean. Positioned on the top floor, our balcony also had a lovely view over the rooftops of the neighbourhood. The ambiance of the rest of the house was equally charming and the location was perfect. The area is lively and has lots of bars, cafes and restaurants, although the house itself is on a quiet side street. The staff were friendly and attentive, consistently making an effort to ensure our comfort. We would gladly visit again!
