Amazing park with beautiful animals who are certainly being very well treated, because it shows, since they have a lot of space and are doing everything to help endangered species. Great safari, it’s a really fun and unique experience. The best part was hanging out with the lemurs. It has a huge parking space.

It's alright, the animals are very limited, few monkeys, few birds, few girraff, don't even have lions or elephants. There is a statue girraff at the entrance and we were going to take a photo with it, but the staff photographer stopped us and says only he can take photos of us there. That is very ridiculous I think, so I told my kid never mind, we can take photo with real girraff later. Although in the safari bit, before we arrive the area of girraff, there is a VIP jeep there chasing all the girraffs away because they want to get close to them. Which result in we didn't get close to any girraffs at all. Very disappointed. Also don't bother buy the tickets in advance as you need to go to tickets office anyway to book the safari slots.

(Translated by Google) I give 3 stars because people with a wheelchair will have a hard time being pushed due to the floor and, because there is no baby changing room available ... They look like minhoquices, but those who live in situations with these needs are the ones who know! Another thing, to get there, pay attention to the following, maps tell us to go out to the Safari park and pufff ... Behold, the signs disappear, we reach an intersection and we are already on the wrong path! To make no mistake, here's the tip: As soon as they reach the last exit for badoca, as soon as they turn to the right, 3 meters ahead, they turn to the left for dirt road or, they did not see in the sign that says badoca / Vila Nova de santo André and they continue on the road and 5 meters later they saw to dirt road on the right! At catrapazio badoca .... I show you with photo ... Suggestions: arrive early, go on Safari in the morning, go to the restaurant for lunch at 12pm, bring fresh clothes and a second change of clothes in case you get drenched in African rafting ... I didn't stay! 🙃Don't leave the island of monkeys for last because they get tired of walking until they get there .... And with 35 °, partly cloudy, baby stroller, grandmother who was left behind on the tables in the shade, grandfather who was already completely shabby ... we no longer had the courage to go up the path, with enough inclination to go there ... Look, stay for the next one! No catrapazio badoca....

Overall a decent park, not very well signposted off the motorway and not very organised, we were told we can buy the rafting tickets at the rafting location, only this was not the case so had to go back to the ticket office. Not wheelchair nor pram friendly so not good for families, we struggled to get around with ours. More variety of animals, really basic safari and overpriced for what you get. Food is expensive and not great, great selection of photo opportunities although do not expect a bundle price if you purchase more than 1 photo. Has great potential and room for improvement. Facilities are pretty basic and it seems run down. Some staff were nice although not all.

This shouldn’t be called “safari” the correct naming would be “low quality zoo”. If you are looking to look at a lot of animals you would be better served in Lisbon’s zoo. You need to wait in line even if you bought a ticket and the line isn’t that good. If you also made a mistake of going on a weekend and bought a rafting ticket, you’l have fun waiting in line for an hour(if you come 10minutes before the start) but if you actually got in the raft, you’l have fun, it’s a nice ride but when the ticket salesperson says to you “you can go as many times as you want” the waiting part isn’t mentioned. Now the “safari” part, you get put into a cart that goes after the tractor and it’s open, so when you get out you’ll be fully covered in dust but that would be OK if you would see at least some animal variety but you only see a few different buffaloes, antelopes and a few giraffes. There is some extra content like lemurs feeding or presentation about reptiles and it might be fun if your host has a good microphone ( seen three presentations and all of them had this issue and what the host says isn’t repeated). Another thing both with safari and the presentations is that they are in Portuguese and there is not a hint in any other language. To sum everything up, if you are looking for safari experience, this is not the place, but if you are fine with waiting and having some space for kids to play, are just looking to see a handful of animals and to just have a nice and not that costly day, than you will probably enjoy the adventure.

Finally an attraction away from the beach! Picturesque scenery, rafting, playground sooo creative, and safari(!) where we could almost touch a giraffe! Best way to spend family Sunday. Clean, safe, not crowded, beautiful. Top!

A very different experience from the one I remember quite a few years ago. Badoca Park now is quite interactive with regular presentation shows. The absolutely make it for a better day as one of the carers comes forward to explain more about the animal and perform a number of interactions with them. Food is good and very fair priced. I wish the times for the carers shows to be available on the website so you can play your day inside the park. On the downside the experiences are very expensive, do not allow you to take pictures during these and then charge you 10€ for a picture at the end. This makes something like the lemur experience be 25€ in reality instead of 15€pp. This quickly adds up. Overall a good day but a shame Badoca ruins it by wanting to charge you for a breath.

We took the VIP pack for the giraffe safari in private jeeps. We were very satisfied with the whole experience, the guide was nice and took us around the park. The giraffe feeding was amazing, worth every penny. The rest of the park was also a nice experience and the animals look happy and healthy. Thank you Badoca 🦒🦒

Very nice zoo with lots of space for the animals. Possibility to walk among birds in a huge cage, to see multiple displays of animals with their caretakers (clear recommendation to watch the bird show) and to interact with lemurs (for this one a booking should be done by paying a small extra fee). The reduction of one star has to do with the safari tour where we were expecting a bit more enthusiasm by the guide and the food available at the zoo’s restaurant which was canteen style food. Everyone was very nice and there is the chance to take multiple pictures with animals which you can buy at the end of your visit. They don’t send you the digital photo though.

This used to be a better experience, the safari is still great and recommendable for sure! But the lemur experience we had was very full, they had told us the previous one which we saw had 6 people was overbooked so we were put in the next which would've been no problem at all but it ended up including 11 people and was cut very short compared to how much time the previous group had with them, and then the pictures cost 10€ each with a really bad printing quality so overall it felt like quite the shame.

Great family day out. Safari trip was best part, getting up close to animals. All presentations were in Portuguese so for non-Portuguese speaking guests this would be only issue. Ticket is good value for money but found prices inside to be a bit exaggerated e.g in cafe, restaurants

I love going to the safari park it's beautiful it has lots of animals it's surrounded by nature and there's lots of space. It also has giraffes, zebras, meerkats, lots of different types of birds, buffaloes, lots of types of turtles, the monkees, flamingos and lots more different tipes of animals. There is a big wooden giraffe for kids to play on. At the back there is a big tipe of rope so the kids can climb on and go through a little hole a big hole like a door to the front the big wooden giraffe so they can see the view from there and it's really safe. This place is really good for seeing animals. This place is really great👍😛🙃😄😃🙊🙊🙈🦓🐗🐰🦊🐼🐨🐷🐺🦁🐻🐸🦌🦛🐮🐴🐽🐄🐂🐃🐑🐏🐐🦙🐘🦏🦒🦘🐒🦍🐪🐫🐿️🦔🦇🐧🐓👍👍👍👍👍

Very nice place and nice discovery and well organised also safe for kids. I didn’t put 5 stars ⭐️ why? 1- Communication skills of the staff are limited to Portugees Language knowing that a lots of French, Spanish, English speaking visitors are coming... 2- The safari truck is not well maintained and dirty As we had to clean ours by our selves 3- No staff availability in the Park as all of them are in the reception... 4- The parking outside is not well maintained 5- The Main Street guidance are not very clear Please take this as postive as we had a very positive day

Fine to go with kids. They do a decent job. Don't compare it to other European or US safari parks, it's on the low end. Dirt road leads here and nothing is paved, hard to push a stroller around. Prices are reasonable. Not much in English so if your portugese is rusty or absent be warned. Everyone in the park is friendly and if you have little kids, it's a good way to spend a day.

Great place to visit with the family. Me, my wife and my two girls spend a full day in badoca park, and we loved it. Its cheaper to buy the tickets online, but beware of the weather, since you have to do a lot of walking, try to go when the weather is suitable (not to hot or rainy), so, we waited for a day without any rain and bought the tickets one hour before we got to the ticket line (although you buy the tickets online, you still have to go to the ticket office and exchange for a real ticket) There are a few extra paid activities that you can buy directly on the ticket stand, but we choose to buy only the entry tickets, no extra activity (we eventually bought tickets for the rafting, directly in the rafting area, after checking that it was safe for our daughters). When you enter you are informed of your train departure, that train will do a mini safari, be sure not to miss it, its one of the best features in the park. We loved the unvolunteer interaction with the ostriches 😂. The giraffes (mascot of the park) are beautiful and worth the trip. We also loved the birds presentation, there are 3 during the day, don't miss any of them (check the schedule before going to the park). At lunch time, the restaurant was completely full, so we had lunch on the small snack bar, nothing too expensive, but tasty (hamburger and chips). The only less positive thing about the park was the simian section, its far from the rest and the road to get there its a bit rough for little children. So, we had a great day at badoca park, we only got a ticket lady that was a bit rude (we found her again at the souvenir store), all the other staff was very nice and helpful. Don't forget hats for the children 😊 And another detail, we are Portuguese and the guides only spoke Portuguese, I don't know if they have guides that speak other languages.

A wonderful way to spend a day! With or without kids, this is a happy fun place to be! Yes, there are a few kinks they should address, but nothing big that spoils the fun... Must go on the "boat" ride, you'll get soaking wet, but it's a lot of fun :)

  • 5/5 Hugo B. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent experience if you're an animal lover. You can see the animals really close and can even interact with some of them. There are, also, lots of different activities for all the family to do throughout the day.

A really interesting experience and a good one over all, but the park is big so be ready to walk a lot, i just won't give it 5 stars because the food is too expensive for it over all bad quality, plus all the extra activities are expensive too, otherwise it's really good and worth a try, a lot better than a zoo.

The animals that are actually there are well cared for and healthy looking, but some enclosures are in poor condition as is much of the infrastructure there, I.e broken or faded signage, many trip hazards and more. The safari was OK but late leaving and commentary was in Portuguese only while 50% of the visitors were not. Some English would have been understood by most. The lemur, reptile and bird shows the same. It's a spectacular place but could be much better.

Amazing place to spend the day, rafting is worth it, the restaurant is atm 12€ for a filling lunch and about 3€ per drink with coffee (they also have cheaper options like pizza or you can bring your own food). Rafting is worth the money. The VIP experience is really nice if you have the extra money, you get more in contact with the animals which makes it more unforgettable, also you don't have to bring or buy fresh water if you do it. The shows are all fun I recommend watching all. I think the only thing that I didn't like was the price of the printed photos (10€), they are a nice souvenir but a more fair price would make me buy them, although this seems to be the standard for most of these places

(Translated by Google) The park was slightly below my expectations, but the animals are well cared for. The highlight was the birds of prey show. André was an excellent presenter / attendant, with dynamics, knowledge and humor. Birds are respected as wild animals and the show demonstrates this well: how they fly, how they feed, how they attack - their behavior in nature. It was so good that we watched both shows, since the birds are not the same in each one. Congratulations André! The park is located away from everything, only accessible by car. It has a wide area and the visitors can see several animals and birds. The organization prefered to strongly suggest the visitors watching the shows, where one can watch the animals/birds in action. To visit the savanah part, one can enter in the train around the park. The main issue in these times is COVID-19, there is simply no preparation or organization towards people safety. If a lot of people is in the park, close contact in unavoidable. A lot could be easily done here...

This safari park has a number of attractions. The safari part is definitely the highlight with a tractor taking you on a tour to see a number of animals roaming around, including wildebeest, giraffes and zebras. There is also a chance to see tigers - they are in a cage. Aside from that there is a nice restaurant and coffee shop and the rapids are definitely worth the €3 extra. Very easy to find - just off the road. And only an hour and a bit from Lisbon.

(Translated by Google) We love it as always. All staff / attendants are very friendly and available. I just do not give 5 stars because the shows have very close schedules and with people who move with difficulty it is difficult to arrive in time.

(Translated by Google) Family day very well spent :) We did Safari Vip, which I highly recommend. A more peaceful way (as it is a private tour) and close to meeting the animals. Tomás was our guide, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about everything he showed us. It was my third time in the park and this time it was a flood like I had never seen before, so having done the private tour was even better, we realized that next when we went to see the rest. I don't give 5 stars because I think they could be better organized and more punctual.

I just thought that the tractor q pulls the little train for Safari, it could have protection in the first car against dust. Because whoever goes on the first takes all the dust in their faces. (Original) Lugar mto bom para adultos e crianças, shows bem legais e explicativos.
