Went on recommendation of our holiday rep.. I like markets sadly this was a very depleted one. Nothing different, as a vendor myself I found it soul destroying for the visitors and the vendors as it took less than 15 mins to walk around. I just hope someone other than the touroperators made a profit from it.

It was a good market plenty to see the whole town has a lot of character. Indoor market was nice v busy not good if you don't like standing behind people who don't know where they are going. The outdoor market was easier to walk around but had v v similar stuff. If you're after a leather handbag this place is a steal.

Good 'gypsy' market selling clothes, shoes, tablecloths etc. Bargain for stuff, particularly tablecloths, as bargaining is part of ritual retail experience here. Arrive early as it shuts around 1pm, there is parking nearby. Combine visiting jere with a visit to the covered market in town which has great food, especially fish.

Had heard and read so much about the Saturday market so had to go and see for ourselves. Unfortunately we got there a little late and most of the stalls (presumably fresh produce) had closed up and left. However, the size of the plot and the stalls that remained have the impression of a very lively, interesting market. Will definitely go back another day, but earlier!

Nice local market in the center of town. Good selection of vegetables, fruits, cheese, sausage and breads among other items.

A definite stop on your holiday. As long as you get there before 12pm you will feel the good atmosphere and hopefully get good purchases and a good lunch.

Nice market with nice stalls (also outside the market building) in a lively village. All in all a nice day out :)

This seemed to be just and overspill of the udual market. The traders were quite colourful, and lots of tablecloths. Sight seeing, castle, museum and both markets plus coffee makes a morning visit. Beware, everything closes by 2 including most of the cafes!

I’ve visited a few times on Saturdays and love seeing the artisans and their stalls. There are stalls outside on the small roads around the main market hall so it’s lovely to come across them whilst walking around. I would love to see even more one day but in general it’s a great place to be on a Saturday morning. Highly recommend visiting.

Fun place to visit and lots of nice produce. Parking can be a challenge but lots of lots and spaces north of downtown.

Gypsy market with many clothes, sunglasses, trinkets, bracelets etc. Some bargains to be had but some overpriced rubbish. Best to barter if you think something is too expensive.

The Saturday 'flea' market has moved from my last visit to the opposite end of town from the fabulous fresh food market. The reason for only three stars is that whilst it's the same great value, and great characters, it is so much smaller than I remember. I hope that it will recover soon, and the people regain their livelihoods 👍 It's an acquired experience, but please do support the market!

Don’t go there! There is nothing! Google maps can be tricky! Go to Mercado municipal de Loulé.

Love going almost every Saturday morning. Such a variety of fresh fruits and veggies. A beautiful fish market, fresh flowers and plants and wonderful bakeries. Such a treat!

We came solely for the gypsie markets as we were told they are amazing.. well I was very disappointed only about 10/15 stalls pretty much all the same things nothing like what we were told. Only plus side the town of loule' is quite charming.

Good value if the market is at the bottom of the hill, sometimes called Gypsy market
