One of the most hectic airport I ever been, I don’t know where should I start first to count.. At first airport big enough but workers are pretty much lazy and pay no attention to deliver ease, especially in security check. No professionalism at all, officers are not even talking with you if you have liquid, computer etc., no observation skills. Hope authorities will read this comment. Angry floor cleaning ladies cursing out loud. On check-in counters slow service (no conversation at all).

One of the most chaotic airports airports I have experienced in Europe. I don’t recommend to travel through Lisbon if you have a connecting flight in small gap. Immigration process takes ages to be done. The airport authorities are as negligent and as rude as none seen before. We had a connection flight to Munich returning from Mexico. Also while flying to Mexico in the gate the lady in the counter called us and asked for all our hotel stay confirmations and she even took screen shots ( to us this is beyond privacy rules of Europe and none others were asked. People are not all considerate of social distancing in these covid times ( attached pics below)

Arrival: wasn't too bad, there are signs in Portuguese and English which made it easy to get to baggage claim/customs. once you get through that area you will be funneled to separate lines before exiting the airport. Here you will be checked for your COVID test and passport. If you decide to take a taxi or Uber you have to go to Parque 1 (Parking 1). To get here just head out the airport and make a right keep going until you see escalators on your right. Take those to get up to Terminal 1 Arrival/Parque 1. To take the Uber just go into the parking lot past the gate arm; that is where Ubers will enter to pick you up. Taxis have their own designated lanes. Departure was kind of hectic. There were so many people. Leaving at the same time. Please ensure you fill out your PLF forms and have all documents needed by the country you're going to! I saw several families get stranded because they didn't fill out the PLF on time trying to go to Milan via Ryanair. By the time they finished filling it out, the gate closed and there were many angry Italians who couldn't board. Terminal two is small and has a SOHO cafe, Henekin bar, a Nespresso Café, and a McDonalds. They do have a large duty free shop. There a few charging posts in the seating area and I think two at the McDonald's.

Takes 3h for a non-EU to reach passport check. About half of the non-EU passport desks were unattended despite this crowd. This is not welcoming, not professional and not ethical. I feel very sorry for families with children and elderly people. Also, you can’t imagine a better place to spread viruses like Covid or Seasonal Flu. Priority gate is strictly for handicapped persons, pregnant ladies and families with babies only. There is no paid priority service either.

Bring a pen. It's wild that they will issue you documents to have filled out but not provide any way of making that happen. There is also indoor smoking rooms that could probably use an extra bit of sealing. The view into Portugal was gorgeous though. They also had a sardine shop that was fun to see. Would recommend experiencing it at least once.

I had a Lufthansa flight to catch at 5am, the airport was dirty (the food court area had all the trays still on the table probably from the previous day) there was only one cafe opened. Lack of staff everywhere, very rude staff to be perfectly honest. As a Portuguese citizen, I’m ashamed of this airport. This is the first impression of someone into our country and the last impression someone has. If i was a tourist i would never come back to this airport, and to this country…

airport is nice at first (check in was easy and overall was clean), then you get to the gates and it's crowded with no seating. lots of flights don't actually board at the gate, so you may get packed way too tightly into a bus by rude employees. it turns into a free-for-all with lots of shoving. then you're stuck on this crowded bus until the plane is ready (like why couldn't we wait in the building?). overall way too stressful and poorly designed

Easily one of the worst airports I’ve been to. We missed our connecting flight to London because the lines for exit customs (what is the point of customs to leave a country anyway? Especially, a European country) was packed (we were flying in from Porto so we landed in the domestic section and needed to go to the International section of Terminal 1). The officials processing the passengers worked slowly. Asking airport and airline employees for options is fruitless. The airport has e-gates for certain passport holders, but they won’t work for anyone under 18 years old (like my 6 year old daughter). That means you need to go into the general queue as they don’t have a separate lane for families like other airports around the world. You only have priority if you have kids under 2. After waiting in the general queue with not much movement for 30 minutes, we started to move at a quicker pace. Obviously, someone realized the line was only getting longer and told the officials processing the passengers to work faster. Well, unfortunately, it was too little too late for us. By the time we were processed, the boarding gate was closed. We weren’t the only passengers from our flight to miss the connection. We ended up buying tickets for another flight (and saw many other passengers from our missed flight on this flight as well). Boarding the plane is an ordeal in itself. If your plane isn’t gated, you’ll need to board a shuttle bus. The shuttle bus drivers, dear goodness, slow doesn’t do it justice. They close off the exit but then they don’t go anywhere. You end up sitting there in a crowded bus waiting for the bus driver to show up. When they finally drive to the plane they keep you inside. If you have status or have priority because of family, you’re now stuck waiting on the bus while other buses from the passengers in later zones are now arriving at the same time. Finally, after waiting for all the airport employees to finish their conversations, you are finally let off the bus along with all the other buses at the same time. What’s the point of priority boarding then? We might as well have boarded last so we didn’t need to wait on the bus at the loading zone for so long. Terrible procedures and processes here. If I ever visit Lisbon in the future, I will definitely find a way to do it by avoiding this airport. I would leave 0 stars if that were possible.

cleanest airport I have ever been in. The shops in the airport have everything and beautifully displayed. Charging stations were everywhere. Tables were plentiful, didn’t have to walk around looking for a spot. The food was also good. I wish I had taken more photos. This airport is beautiful. It feels like a mall with tons of stores including Victoria’s Secret, Guess, BOSS, Desigual, Pandora, and so many more. There’s also a big food court with a bunch of options to pick from and a couple of markets. The gates are spacious and with lots of sitting areas. The only downside I found is the restrooms, there’s not too many and at the time we traveled there were long lines to use it. We traveled with TAP, our flight was delayed one hour but ended up at our destination safe and sound. Would definitely recommend the airport for a layover 10/10

Security checkin is amazingly fast. The airport is easy enough to navigate and I appreciate plethora of eateries and duty free shops on your way to your gate. However the boarding process was a total disaster. Ten minute bus ride weaving between parked plans. No announcement about the problem they were having. No apology either. Just look at how we had to board the plane.

Due to COVID and Lisbon airport strikes, they take a ton of time just to get your on boarding pass (no available online). My flight on Sunday was in 2h. I went to priority line, the woman said it wasn't her problem and pointed me to the long line in aggressive tone. It took more than 1h just to collect the onboarding pass where they checked the COVID pass. Then the usual security check. Disorganized at Terminal 1. The gates are announced only 30 mins before departure. You might have to walk 1km to reach your gate. 10 minutes before departures, they start to let people sit in the airplane. The good things are it is relatively small and easy to access from Lisbon public transportation.

We flew TAP through this airport July 10th and 24th 2022 into terminal 1. Flying in we had to take a bus from the airplane to the terminal. It was a bit crowded, but no problems. Getting through immigration wasn’t really a problem. The line moved fast and they had enough workers. Also Americans and EU citizens over 18 can use the automated e-gates. Overall it was fine. Once past all that the airport felt crowded and poorly laid out. No water fountains and few trash cans. It was unpleasant, but far from a disaster. Overall it was worth the gamble since we saved a lot by flying through Lisbon on TAP.

I’ve travelled around so many places and this is the worst airport I have ever been to. I arrived from Toronto, Canada at 11:15am. Got off the plane and I have been waiting in line for more than 4 hours just to get through immigration/customs. There are more than a thousand people in this line, I feel so bad for the children and seniors who have had to carry their backpacks and suitcases and stand in this ridiculous line for over 4 HOURS!!! There were even some medics here because people were passing out in line. So many people had connecting flights and they are missing it. Horrible experience.

I had a great experience travelling to Dubai from Humberto Delgado Airport. As usual it was packed and there was little space to find in the food court. The check-in times are quick depending on which airline you are flying from. The facalities are good at the airport and the security checks are swift.

Customs strike meant waiting 6.5 hours to leave the airport. No loudspeaker communication or water for the entire wait. Not sure if the strike was justified or if it worked, but it certainly made it a less pleasant experience. Great once past security!

I always had good experiences at this airport. They currently renovated many areas. Restaurants, bars and bistros are great. Indications are clear, the service is always straight and excellent. However the airport needs better infrastructure both ends, both for Airplane taxiing and delivering passengers (instead of sardine grouped up in a bus for half an hour more just to arrive at the main infrastructure of airport), but also for the gigantic wave of tourists that always come in summer. More taxis, more Uber allowed areas, the place is just collapsing. I remember having my passport lost in a Miami-Lisbon flight. I went to the department of Homeland Security, they activated local authorities, airline staff, and gave me psychological support because I was crying non stop. I was in this airport last May 2022 and stay over night at the hotel and the taxi charge me for £90 for only 10 minutes away from airport, be careful with those taxis outside of the airport, oh also the Starbucks staff were so rude inside the airport. The airport itself is quite neat and easy to navigate. Lots of food options available. The airport also seemed to have adequate seating, which is rare in many other airports. My main issue with this airport is the onboarding and disembarkment. They used a bus to handle the transport from the airport to the plane, and this was a very long process and very easy for a stampede to occur when everyone converges. Arriving passengers would get on the shuttle for a 5 minute drive to the terminals and baggage claim area. It is also a busy airport with many shops and restaurants. Not a very big airport thus you should be able to easily find your way around . The drop off area can be very busy at times thus you are warned. Also, I feel it's high time self service machines are made available for luggage check ins to accelerate the check in process.

They definitely need more training on customer service. They gave us a card and said call BA. We eventually booked another flight to London via Easyjet as BA were overpriced. Took a while. The queue to exit terminal 1 took almost 2 hours. There was people travelling to all different countries but only 3 booths open with 2 people inside them working to do the passport checks. No social distancing although i can hear people coughing, your legs will ache. Finally got out of terminal and got to terminal 2 where the workers for easyjet were much more helpful.

Great airport! It's well located, clean, pretty inside and you feel comfortable. Equipped with enough and very clean toilets, a good choice of restaurants, unlimited WiFi (which could be better!) and it didn't feel too crowded. I was missing some more seating possibilities with/and power outlets and I always appreciate fountains for drinking water which I couldn't find. The metro station is straight next to it and also the bus connection is decent. Because me and my girlfriend were broke backpackers when we were there: The airport is good to sleep in, before and (probably) after security even better. Nobody cares and it's safe! Also there is one restaurant using "Too Good To Go" if you want to get some cheap food.

Worst airport I've seen in a long time especially for Europian standards. If you can avoid flying through terminal one then I would highly recommend you to do so. The staff is extremely rude and shouts to people which creates a lot of chaos. At the moment we were in line for security (almost late for our flight) there were so many people late for their flight already. We arrived at the airport 2 hours before our flight and made it just by minutes (we had to run all across). So my final conclusion is: DO NOT FLY THROUGH THIS TERMINAL. if this really is your only option then I would advise you to get to the airport 3 hours before your flight. Thank me later ?

This airport is not good enough perspective to others airport in europe .Need some improvement and increased the facilities for entire passenger. Overall good for portugal .But remember its lisbon so people expect more about lisbon's airport.

Security company says that they dont have complaint book, airport information says they have. A person who is going to fly doesnt have time to argue or call the police.

Nice airport, everything well organised, with good shops and restaurants and relatively short walking distances.

This airport is usually classified as one of the worst in Portugal and Europe - with good reasons. So much is bad that is hard to tell everything here, at least now with the pandemic they manage to make the flights on time, but the taxis are still as bad as usual (probably worse, they refuse rides if they are short)

My luggage was lost at some other airport, I went to Lisbon airport for complaint, but unfortunately, no any port-way service to handle specific matter was available through airport owned intercom service. I requested to nearby security staff to help me and check why the officials were not on seat to attend the calls of worried passengers. But unfortunately, no one was in a position to help me. I faced bitter experience in context of lost and found services available at Lisbon airport. Management should think about quality of services in all aspects.

I was disappointed when I learned that Duty Free Shop didn't have the Pastéis de Nata, and that the other coffee shops were already closed at 6pm, due to the C-virus. But overall it was a good passage, the employees (security and Air France staff) were really nice and answered my many questions.

Terminal 2 really bad. If your flight says to arrive 2 hours early, don't! You can safely arrive 1hr early as the gates are right after security. Unless you are new or uncomfortable navigating airport, do not arrive 2 hours early. Only plus is easy to get to via metro and free shuttle bus.
