The smell of chocolate we smelled as we passed by aroused our curiosity and we went inside. The chocolates were arranged carefully and everything looked beautiful, especially the macarons. The lady working was friendly, polite and caring. We bought different macarons and chocolates. Everything we got was fresh and overall nice. We loved the chocolates, but the macarons were not as delicious as we expected. I can recommend it for their chocolates, but I recommend you try one of their macarons before buying more than one.

I liked the packaging of the products here and felt it was a nice souvenir to get. However, I did not really like the saleswoman here. She was not outrightly rude but I felt that she was not very friendly.

We used to love this shop (used to be called Equador). We bought lots of dark chocolate bars with various delicious fillings. After Arcadia bought it, they unfortunately only carry 2 types of dark chocolate bars: with truffle filling and port wine. No more cherry, whiskey, salt caramel fillings with dark chocolate. Would be so nice if Arcadia widens its flavour offerings with dark chocolate...

The saleswoman was not nice, didn’t even bother to come out and help from beyond the counter. Also, I asked about shopping tax free and got the impression they have tax free from that worker, I added more items to reach the minimum you need to get the tax back and she did not stop me, then only after paying I found out they don’t have tax free because I half heard it from another worker that came out of the back of the store. Seems like she didn’t even know what I was talking about and still pretended to know just so I’ll keep buying. After I left I checked the receipt and found out she also split the bill so even if I want to try to get the tax back I cannot cause I haven’t reached the minimum amount to be eligible to get the tax back. Worst service I ever came across and as a tourist it left a bad taste in my mouth. I left the place feeling cheated and scammed, will not go back there ever again.

The coconut gelato was really good. The shop could use another person, there was only one and she was really busy.

Walking by Arcadia, you’re directly drawn to the delicious scent of chocolate, I couldn’t resist and had to enter! The store interior is beautiful, the packaging of the different chocolates done with craft and a lot of love. Buying a variety of different chocolates & macaroons, all of them tasted great. Highly recommend to give it a try and test yourself through it :)

Decent chocolate but I don't believe the percentage values. Their 78% chocolate is way sweeter than any 70% I've ever had. I must assume they actually contain more sugar than labeled. You can't try anything. I'd rather to to Chocolateria Ecuador
