This very large and impressive square honors a much conflicted by history persona. Huge statue surrounded by residences, cafes, storefronts and hotels. It is the location for hop on hop off buses. For us it was an easy walk to our hostel.

There is a long "park" between two boulevards. Nice place to stay on benches.

Huge rotonda, always busy with a lot of traffic, but very clean.

Absolutely breathtaking monument, really beautiful at night 🤩

We went there between Christmas and new year. There were quite many fun activities, such as photo boots, ferries wheel, Christmas food etc. Super fun for the kids and families.
