We got the family ticket for €70 for 48 hours. Then we took a tram ride followed by a bus one later down the day. After reading the reviews we prepared for the worst. But it was great, we loved the tram tour, with so many places to see. Audio worked as expected. Tram was just what you want, not too long and not too short. We did not attempt the hop on/off before seeing it all. The bus was also all right, audio worked and it covered further parts of the city. We wanted to do the boat one as well but it was on the every other day which did not suit. Finally the ticked covers funiculars which we tried as well, but that is just icing on the cake.

The blue line route was €20 and really only took you around the city, with very few landmarks or interesting attractions. A lot of hotels and restaurants on this route, but not much more. It was a relaxing ride when not packed with people. Audio didn't work for me, so simply sit back and enjoy the scenery.

Approximately €30 for a bus and boat tour which lets you also use the funicular and tram. Queues at 9.30 were enormous for bus and we thought it would take ages to get sorted but up and off by 9.50. Interesting commentary but uncomfortable seats. We went up to Belem and then walked to boat to get back to Lisbon. On boat for 20mins.

Used it to do the boat tour around Lisbon a well as the tram. Ann at the ticket booth was extremely helpful and friendly. It's worth the money and you get to know Lisbon.

The actual bus stop location and the location on the map didn't match, so I tried to get on the bus near the hostel, but I spent over an hour looking for the stop, and in the end I talked to the staff through chat to find the bus stop. However, chat is only available between 9 and 13. So I couldn't use it in the afternoon, and I waited for the bus for more than an hour twice and moved to another place. I heard there are 2 buses every hour (every 30 minutes), but I don't think this is true. This photo was taken while I was waiting in front of the belem castle. I waited a long time from the beginning to get on the first bus, because there were a lot of people waiting for the bus here for 1 hour and 15 minutes to get on the bus. So there were quite a few people who couldn't get on here, at the next stop, or at the next stop. If I go to Lisbon again, I see that the red bus comes more often than this company bus, so I will take the red bus.

In order to make the service a lot more useful consider an Uber type service where you can both follow where the busses, boats and trams are and what there routes are. At the moment it’s difficult to find the business and impossible to know how long you have to wait for the next one to arrive. It should be relatively easy to make the different vehicles trace-able, there are most likely existing services available that can be used for the benefit of your customers. Also it would be great if your paying customers could use their own phones to listen to the tours as well. Would be a great addition to your customer experience if you could take these recommendations into serious consideration.

Took the Belem line, which also gave us access to the TRAMS. So helpful! The live tracker of the busses on the website was useful and made our trip easier.

The best place to take the Yellow Bus is at the starting point in Place de Figueria. That way you are guaranteed a good seat. If you board at other stops, your group may be separated across different seating areas. It is much cheaper to buy a combination ticket, if you can. In our case we chose a Modern Lisbon Yellow Bus tour and the Belém tour together for 25 euro. The Belém tour is far more interesting and the commentary (that works intermittently) is more informative. I would recommend the Belém tour. There is less to see on the Modern Lisbon tour and the commentary is minimal, but some of the modern architecture is interesting. There is also the option of buying a special Tram 28 tour with commentary, for around 20 euro. It is much cheaper to buy your own ticket (for about 4 euro) on the regular standard Tram 28 that does not offer a commentary, but you will still see everything. During the off-peak season, the yellow buses operate at two hour intervals, so if you hop off the bus at any point, it may be another two hours before they come back to collect you. The service may be more frequent in the peak summer months. But find out first, before disembarking mid-way.

Please don’t do this to yourself. They can’t possibly know how many people will go each day bc the tickets are open. But from 11 am - 2 pm the busses will be jammed packed. There will not be enough seats. You will not be able to see much. The only decent way it can work where you sit on top is if you get the first bus of the day. Or you wait until Tor de Belem when nearly there whole bus empties and you scamper to the top. No one exits the bus between stops 1 and 10. They keep picking up despite being full. There was no explanation of what sites we were passing. There really needs to be another employee on board to handle customers. When. I called customer service they told me the first bus of the day to pass stop 7 would be 11:30 am. The schedule says 10 am. But it’s August in Lisbon so it’s gonna be hot and crowded.

Don’t do it!!! I am writing this to warn others as there is inexplicably a lot of 5 star reviews, but I wish I had believed the bad ones and not wasted my money and several hours of my time. I did a bus tour in Edinburgh which was great which is why I booked this. However, both the blue and purple routes are the most boring tours in the world. I wasted hours of my limited time in Lisbon to be taken down highways and shown several shopping centres. They must be getting sponsored by them. There was only 1 or 2 stops that anybody wanted to get off or on at out of a (combined) 30 stops!!! What does that say about your other 28 stops? Nobody wants to get off and look around there so what is the point. Maybe the bus can’t get very close to the actual things you would want to go to see like the cathedral or the castle? But they don’t even get a mention! And the commentary is a boring automated voice with elevator music the rest of the time. I walked past some of the free walking tours which sounded so much more interesting and wish I’d done these instead but I had no more time.

We booked Hills tram tour and had to wait more than one hour to get a seat in the tram. They sell lots of expensive tickets for 19€ and don't tell the people that there are only 25 places in a tram and the next one starts in half an hour. The tour itself was not bad, but you can have nearly the same with old E28 for a tenth of the price.

We just did the hop-on and hop-off tramcar service and found it to be the prefect and relaxing way to see some of Lisbon's historic and most important places including the Lisbon Cathedral, St. George's Castle and the Praca do Comercio. It's a good initial way to familiarize yourself with the city. We enjoyed it.

(Translated by Google) The buses are comfortable. There are several options for combining the circuits. This is the time with less tourism due to COVID, the bus that makes the modern Lisbon route passes every two hours, I was at the stop of the Portugal pavilion and the bus passed by leaving me lying there and that gave me a very bad time . I ran behind but I didn't catch up, so I had to take a regular bus to go back to Martín Moniz, it was a bad time.

Disaster! If you really want to do Hop on Hop off use other companies (like the red busses, hippo tours or the gray line)! The later the day, the longer the waiting at the different stops. Seems like, they just use 2 buses for the whole route. While other companies have been seen regularly picking up tourists, the buses are simply not be seen anywhere causing 30+ minutes waiting time (we also had over 1 hour waiting time on some stops). Long story short - you dont see very much of Lissabon, because you simple wait for the busses. Also the lack of busses causes them to be very crowded especially at the end of the tour. It was so full that no one could even move anymore and some couldnt even reach the handle and had to grip on relatives or at the lighting at the ceiling (see picture). Thanks to no air conditioning, there also was a temperature from nearly 40 degrees in that bus, that made it felt like a sauna, cuddeling with all those people. Wish i had spent the money (21 Euro per person) differently... Never again...

This tour company is AMAZING!! I purchased the bus tours through my hotel with an add on of the Lisbon aquarium. But for some reason, the hotel never gave me the aquarium tickets. The bus driver was able to call a technician and get me my aquarium tickets that I rightfully paid for instead of taking the bus back to my hotel and dealing with them. I definitely recommend this company!

100% worth it. For 27 euros you get access to both route, free access to the lift and free access to the three funiculars around the city center. Lots of interesting information mentioned in the audio guide. Friendly drivers and friendly staff everywhere.

Good price (36 Euro) for the ticket, which includes 2 bus routs, tram tour, Santa Justa lift and funiculars for 48 hours. Mostly very friendly staff. Disadvantages: One day the tram was circulating only until 2:30pm although the internet page said it works until 5pm. Another day something had happened with the trams electricity supply in the city and we were waiting for the tram for approx. 1 hour. This is definitely not a fault of the YellowBus but it seems that the situation with the electricity supply for trams in Lisbon is not stable. The waiting time for the buses was ok. Overall, we liked what YellowBus has offered with the 48 hours ticket.

Buses are clean but schedule is messed up. Got down at 2 points and both time following bus which was supposed to be coming was always delayed more than 30 minutes happened on both the points where I got off. I was with the kid so that makes the experience worse. Always reach the pick up point with live schedule but bus never arrives on time. Update : Hired a cab to go to next place as they cancelled the bus after 30 mins of scheduled time and their customer support was pathetic. They do not know about delays or why bus did not arrive.

We paid 21 euros each and did a complete blue line (Belém tour) on the bus. When we decided to resume the tour later in the afternoon, we waited over an hour for the next bus to arrive! (Incidentally, the bus driver was very apathetic and unfriendly). Consequently, there were no further buses returning from the Belem Tower and we had to resort to using an Uber to get back to the city. This tour was such a rip-off and we do not recommend using this service!

Unfortunately we didn't check out many of the other reviews mentioning long wait times before buying a ticket with this company. Alas we ended up waiting 1 hour for the bus a few times because when the bus did arrive it was overcrowded and the driver told us to take the next one. This company sells way too many tickets compared to the amount of available buses. Staff was friendly and trying to do their best.

The boat ride was decent. The tram ride was a disaster. On the website it states route 28.When I get to the red tram, the rudest tram diver tells me I need to go across the road, even though I paid 45 euro for a 3 day ticket with the company yellowbustours on the tram he is driving. His eyes were bloodshot red. He sent me to the wrong line. When I eventually enter the original tram he tells me I stepped on his toes and taps me on my shoulder. He sighs at every stop. Get people who care about customer service and tourists if they are working with customers,.

Unless you have a very knowledgeable friend who lives here in Lisbon. This is a must for you to get to the best of sights they have 11 languages on the audio. It's even going round twice so you don't miss anything. Enjoy.

We had a terrible experience with the Hills team today. When we arrived at Praça de Comercio they told us that the tram leaving then was full and that we had to wait for an hour to get the next one. We agreed but after an hour the next tram was not there. The next tram arrived 15 min late and took another 15 min of wait for them to leave because not all the seats were sold so they were waiting to fill it up. The headphones they have us didn’t work so we couldn’t follow the audio. A real fiasco for 40€! I do not recommend it especially if you are traveling with kids like us.

The bus has two routes depends on which one you opt and it has different start points. Although you can hop on and hop off anywhere you want the bus normally kicks off from the centre for the traditional route and it’s almost full if it is it in a nice day With son and a peek of the day. As expected multiple languages, audio is available and the Bus comes in every 20 minutes so it’s very handy if you hop off and then wanna hop on anytime later. It provided leaflets and you can book it online for better rates.

The best way to see Lisbon. You can choose several options. I choose two tours +Tram. The location was very close to my hotel, an easy walk. Tickets are good for 48-72 hours. It also allows for access to public transportation.

Im Portuguese and everytime I visit Portugal I need to go to Lisbon, I simply love Lisbon and there is just so much to see and do. I decided to take a trip sith this company around Lisbon and Belem and I was simply amazing, hop on and off Bus, had audio information in many languages about every single place the bus passed by, totally and experience that I share with friends ♡♡♡♡ Boa Viagem

We bought the 72 hr ticket and what incredible value it is. The bus tours give you a good insight into Lisbon and the places of interest even though the commentary is often out of sync. The tram tour is probably the best for information, the boat is just for enjoyment of being on the massive Tegus. Add all this to free rides on the trams, funicular and the elevator and what a saving you make. All our earphones worked so all I can say is I thoroughly recommend.

Sold us a ticket for 2 bus routes and boat route. 1 route was shut down, the other was skipping half the route. The boat kicked us off because crew were going on a 2hr lunch and left no where close to a bus route. Had to get taxi to get home. Tried second day and driver sent us up top where there were no seats. By the time we got back down he had people standing in the aisle. No way to hear the tour without a seat. When questioned, driver suggested getting off...next bus wasn't for another hour and no guarantee it would have seats. Asked for money back but no response. AVOID YELLOW BUS.

  • 1/5 Michel 1 year ago on Google
Do not use this service unless you enjoy being treated like dirt. Once you book, there are no refunds, for any reason. The attendant at the Commercial Square is rude. She gives you your ticket and hands you a pamphlet and refuses to give you any other information. All you know is when each of the blue, purple or red tours begin but no times for each of the stops. If you don’t keep track, you never know when the next one will come. And that matters because buses are rare, one every hour for the purple line and every half hour for the other tours! The drivers don’t keep to their schedule: if they arrive sooner than usual at a stop, they don’t wait. The 3 tours and their boat tour are not coordinated. You end up waiting and chasing schedules all day. You are advised.

Had a great experience with the Yellow Bus. Soraia Pereira was excellent. What I appreciated about her is I asked about the different companies. She did not bad mouth them nor said anything negative, she simply pointed out the differences. I picked Yellow Bus because for me, they had a different variety of routes that did not overlap. It worked for me and had a pleasant experience. Although some of the commentary was off on some of the routes and did not match up with where you were at on the route.

  • 5/5 Claire B. 1 year ago on Google
Great value. Purchased 72 hour ticket which starts from the time of purchase so there is no lost minutes by purchasing later in the day. Started with the tram tour first so that we could get our bearings and on this you visit areas that other transport cannot get to. The boat trip to Belem was amazing and informative, about 1 hour long and then caught the blue bus route back after a wander around. Loved it all.

  • 3/5 Rose T. 6 months ago on Google
Was expecting more for the price paid (approx 25Euros). Did the old town tour. Very disorganized prior to boarding, especially on the 2nd day. The commentary was easy to follow but could not see some of what was being described. I was hoping for time (even 1 min would have sufficed) to snap pictures. We did the entire tour non-stop the 1st time around. We then went back and knew where we wanted to hop off. There wasn't enough time to see everything in the 24hrs given. Not sufficient time to hop off and walk around leisurely before having to wait for the bus and hop off at a different spot of interest. Only good thing was that as a bonus, we were able to get on the funiculars and the Justa elevator free of charge. Suggestion would be to have more buses running, especially early morning hours.

  • 1/5 Shyam D. 4 years ago on Google
Absolutely the worst experience ever. Buses didn’t come on time, drivers didn’t speak English, radios didn’t work half the time, tram driver refused to take us on and then the trams suddenly shut down. We were not told that trams will shut down and bus routes will be different because of marathon. There was very little information anywhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

(Translated by Google) There were 4 tours of the city available. These are recommended to get an overview. Especially the boat tour on the Tagus. However, you have to familiarize yourself with the travel times in order to time the "hop on-hop off" correctly and not have to wait unnecessarily. We had the all-in-one ticket which is also valid for the famous "yellow" Line 28.

(Translated by Google) Danger! The buses are currently only running every hour. The brochures indicate every 15 minutes. The bus driver said that this was changed due to Corona. The price has not changed, although the clock rate has been significantly reduced. You can estimate to some extent when the next bus will come, if you leave it and then get on again at another stop. In extreme cases, you have to wait an hour for the next one. So you can't do the typical hop on hop off with these buses. Sure, you can of course adjust the time you spend at a sight to the bus times, but this is not possible at will. Sometimes you just want to get out for a moment, enjoy the sights, take a few pictures and then you can take the next bus. Well, with us it was just the case that we often had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for the next bus. The result was that we always preferred to walk to the next attraction. Therefore, the ticket was not worth it for us. With the bus (blue line) everything was otherwise fine and the bus driver was friendly. (Original) Achtung!

If you use this ticket extensively, it is unbeatable. There are also numerous discounts available in the city.

Bit of a mixed experience, the tram ride was brilliant and our Driver made it an unforgetable interesting and fun experience, however: The bus frequency isn't great and the first stop of the boat tour wasn't where it was advertised with no signage or anything there to point us in the right direction of the new stop, and some staff was also a bit unfriendly. Others were really nice and helpful though, so it's a bit of a hit and miss!

We used yellowbus for the trolley, elevator to the tower and we were going to use the bus but... I’m giving it 5 stars for the easiness of negotiations. The young ladies did a great job. Prices are clear, set, no gimmicks but when we waited on a bus stop the bus driver was rude. No worries, trolley ride alone earns this tour line 5 stars...

Wifi was down. Yes there are notices everywhere that this is temporary but it's not like I'm going to be here next month! The audio tour is not as interesting. The other hop on hop off tours do a much better job. London's is exceptionally good. The schedules are not clear and the buses are far apart. If you're on a tight schedule and you're in the middle of the route you have high chances of missing the bus or not knowing when exactly it'll be there. The guide at the airport was unhelpful and curt. The guide at Lisbon center was helpful though. Overall, they'll get the job done but have lots of room for improvement at such a beautiful city with so much tourist potential.

Good Tour and sometimes grumpy bus drivers who don't want to help you. It's a real shame because it has potential to become a good tour. We used the 48 hours pass and that was sufficient to cover all routes. Good for family. Audio was good, but it should say what stop to get off to connect to different routes!

Praça da Figueira on Oct 5 at 10:30: Together with 8 other customers waiting for departure of the first Yellow Bus. At 10:40 no bus has arrived yet, so we call the service hotline to learn that on this particular day (public holiday), Praça da Figueira stop isn’t served and that we have to go to the second stop (Restauradores). We inform the other waiting customers and off we go, marching towards the indicated stop. As we all arrive there, we are told that the next bus leaves at 11:30. Just to be clear: It isn’t Yellow Bus’s fault that sometimes streets are closed because of events and public holidays, but it is extremely unprofessional not to inform (potential) customers through modern world’s means of communication. You can - and should - do better.

Pity we were kot well informed when buying a ticket (Lisbon). Later we discovered the route we wanted to take only had 1 bus every two hours. Without any way to trace the bus its more a waiting day than hop on & off

We have taken 4 in one option with 2x bus tour, tram and boat. Tram was the best, then boat but only 1 way (back it was boring), modern city bus route is not worth it. Second bus was quite nice but not much comment on what you see around so you were mainly enjoying listening to fado.

We purchased a 72 hour pass through Viator. When we got the voucher changed to a ticket, they would only honor 48 hours. We went to the attendant, who refused to check anything. Got on the bus and the tram, but neither had wifi. Had to wait until we got back to our room to message them, and after 10 emails, they still haven't fixed their problem. Never again!!

In most cities, my family wouldn't choose to opt for this service. However, we are glad we chose Yellow Bus Tours for our time in Lisbon. It's the perfect way to hit a ton of spots and it's accessible from many points in the beautiful city. The "bus" tour doesn't just include the buses, but also the trams and boats which make for a great experience. Without the service, it would've been very tough to get to many of the places that we did from where we were staying. The only gripe we had was that some of the routes were very long and at times a little boring, especially if we were only interested in very few of the stops or the time between stops were long. Overall, it was a great investment to make to tour the city.

(Translated by Google) We went around Belém Lisbon. At first, the audio guide did not work for anyone. I reported this to the driver, who immediately tried to resolve the problem. When we are distributed, my audio guide still did not work, so I shared the headphones with my wife ... And what a surprise when listening to the comments: we thought, as well as other customers, that there was an offset following the stop. But after a while, I realized that we did not have the right comment !!! This one did not arrive until after having passed Belém, that is to say near the end of the journey. On arrival, obviously, nobody could do anything for us. I just tried to make the complaint via the contact form offered by yellowbus, impossible to send it after having filled everything !!! Therefore, impossible to have a response to complaints. € 34 spent on a very disappointing visit!

(Translated by Google) It is very infrequent and it loses a lot of time in the stops (I waited more than an hour for the next stop to stay half an hour longer). The guide is very little spoken, it hardly gives any information. Audio from many seats does not work. Wi-Fi doesn't work on any bus. I was hesitant due to the average reviews. No complaints, excellent value if on a short visit. 48hrs and included airport bus, blue and purple line, discount to the oceanarium, free tram 28 and free santa just lift.

(Translated by Google) We took the red tram, which follows roughly the route of line 28. It may seem expensive a priori, but .... the purchase on the Internet (Civitatis, or other) has a reduction and the same ticket allows take the 3 Lisbon funiculars (quite expensive individually) as well as the Santa Justa lift. To do in 24h, which is quite possible. The comments are very interesting. All in all, therefore, a pretty good deal in fact. Main criticism, the stops are not clear at all. And a very unlovable driver refused to pick us up at the Estrela basilica, explaining that it was not a stop ....

(Translated by Google) We chose the 72-hour ticket. If you want to do the boat tour including a tour of Christ, it is already min. one day over. Covid protection measures were implemented very well. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The speakers (12 languages) were very easy to understand and we got a lot of information about the sights. We would do the tour again. (Original) Wir haben das 72-Stunden-Ticket gewählt. Wir würden die Tour wieder machen.
