Rote Ampeln egal... weiter. Kann ich nicht verstehen, bei einer Stadtrundfahrt will man doch was sehen....

Terrible service. Not enough buses. Not synced with all the lines so you get to the station and you have to wait 1hour for the next to come The other company seems much better

One of the worst hop on hop off experiences I’ve had. I’ve done London, Paris. Edinburgh, San Francisco and other cities and had great experiences in all. Lisbon needs more buses or schedules that list realistic times. Each time we tried to get a specific line we waited at least one hour past the scheduled time. If you hop off you ha e to wait another extended time to get back on. Pick a different line to make sure you get a good experience.

The buses are very nice, many are new. Audio is available in multiple languages and the system works perfectly. I'd say the information they provide has room for improvement. So many interesting Places and no info about it. Also, the frequencies are not great, they do not respect the hours, and they are not coordinated at all. You arrive and a bus is leaving and you see it go. They could try to coordinate a little more.

I chose the red green and blue line tours, and hopes I can do all of them in a short period of time. Going around once and coming around again to visit some stops. Unfortunately, I ran out of time as I did the green line 1 hour and the blue line 2 hours and the city tour was amazing. But we ended at the city center and it was wonderful. Unfortunately I left my reading glasses on the bus and it was the last stop of the day and the bus headed back to the bus yard. . The kiosk lady was so very helpful, contacting the bus driver at him look for my glasses, and surprisingly even had him come back. Luckily I found them but that just goes to show how helpful the Portuguese gray line team members are. Thank you so much.

We chose a 48-hour ticket for the Red, orange and green line. The first day we tried the red line (Belèm) at 1 pm. There was a big line and there was no space in the upper deck, so we had to sit downstairs. It became so busy that there were even people standing next to the seats, making the whole trip extremely uncomfortable. I would rate this 1 star. It was awful. The reason I’ll give the service 3 stars is the better experience with the orange (Cascais) line. It was way less busy and the views are incredible. It’s a long one though, a return trip is about 3 hours in total but worth the views.

The route (red/Belém) itself is good, you see the important landmarks. But FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, give some information! We booked it to learn about the city but this was just an overpriced tour with some music that didn't sound nice over the headphones. Better book a day ticket for public transport, you'll get the same amount of knowledge for less than a third of the price :)

Absolute WORST TOUR EXPERIENCE I have ever had. After our experience today, 20+ people lined up outside the company’s Lisbon office - DEMANDING a refund for having to wait two (2) hours for a bus to pick us up. This all happened spontaneously, we were from 5 different countries , didn’t know each other but all had the same unfortunate experience. The bus was supposed to come every 30 minutes, but left us all stranded at different stops along the route . Their related company, Lisbon Sightseeing refused to let us board their buses, even though they had room. WHEN THEIR MANAGER SHOWED UP - he refused to accept our request for a refund, Use any other bus line, Yellow Bus seemed Good, but I suggest you AVOID the CITIRAMA bus- terrible, uncaring service as witnessed by 20 people lining up after to demand a refund. .

Absolute awful. We took the red Belém line. It is supposed to be a hop on hop off tour and the line goes in circles like the bus driver confirmed. We jumped on at station nine. The communication with the bus driver was bad and he was quite rude. When we arrived half way at station number one, the bus did not continue its route. The bus driver just stopped and left the passengers without a word in the bus waiting. We thought he just took a quick break. However, there was another driver coming by, explaining that the tour was over and we would need to switch busses. The next bus was not to come soon. Our busdriver had not said a word and has left around 15 passengers waiting in the bus to continue. What a mess. Honestly, don‘t take a bus ride when your are in Lissabon. We paid 40€ for 2 person and a 48 hrs ticket. Uber is quicker and less expensive…

They never go to all the places in the brochure. They cleverly reveal it once you are inside the bus outside the city. So u r trapped. Also they are late, never keeps time. Sometimes overcrowded. Staff are a bit rude too.

We choose the three line tour for 48 hours. With which we would be happy if we wouldn’t have spent 40 minutes while on the Green line, waiting at the seaport stop, just for passengers of some ship to buy tickets and get on the bus. Which can be very disappointing if you need to be at a certain time in a place… Besides of that we had to wait many times for the bus as it didn’t arrive every 30 minutes as promised.

It seemed pretty difficult to provide a guided tour for 48 tourists in two languages through the halls of the palace providing headphone receivers with dead batteries. Still got paid by Air Canada Vacations, though. 🤨

We have been happy of our experience with Grayline. According to the impression we got, this is the best company to make some city tours in Lisbon. Their vehicles are clean, on time, and their drivers are kind (except the lady driver that was on the purple line when we used it). The audio was working most of the time (except on the purple line again) and we really enjoyed visiting Lisbon with 4 lines for our first trip in that lovely city. Thank you Grayline!

Took the red line tour with hop on hop off bus. The first bus had semi-descent quality of audio, but audio guide was always 2-3 min off, either we did not reach the described location or passed it few minutes ago. The second bus - audio barely worked, it was not possible to hear anything when bus was in motion. The audio guide talks about 20% of the time even when bus goes through historical part of town. Adding to this problem is that the bus spends 70% of the time going through some boring areas without any landmarks or significance. Totally wasted time and money.

The tour, if you don't hop off, is great to get a sense of the city, attractions and history via audio guide. If you do get off, the stop numbers, colours, maps and timings are off. We waited more than an hour to get on a stop to redo the whole tour again. Cheaper and much more organized to just use public transit.

The line was nice and easy to navigate. The workers were extremely helpful with ensuring you knew which line and train to catch. The trains were clean and the station even had different shops if you needed quick snacks. The lines were a little long, so early arrival is encouraged. Also, it is currently a requirement for all passengers to wear their mask on public transportation. The employees also come around and check to ensure you have a valid ticket.

It was poor experience: buses once in hour, waiting stops at the subs without shadow, audioguide not synced with the view. Only boat tour worth it, but you can buy one separately (on spot) and cheaper. Note: all buses of the different color belong to the different companies, thus timetable is sparse, even though you see many buses in the city center.

This has had mixed reviews but we enjoyed it. Obviously in August it is busy so if you get off on journey no guarantee you will get seats together, and on top deck if you get back on. Would have given 5 stars if the driver did not spend so much time on the phone (hands free) clearly irate about something !

I ran into their kiosk by chance, and decided to buy a red line tour. Waiting in the sun for 20 minutes with my 5 year old child was pretty tough. I was a bit confused about which bus to get since there are several companies that use the same parking lot. I asked two different girls about the process of boarding and they reassured me they'd call us. When the bus finally got there, we were the first in line. That's when I was told I needed a mask. I immediately asked: "how is it that no one told us about this requirement when I bought the ticket? Why hasn't anyone with whom I've talked told me that?" No one could answer. A nasty older woman conductor got off the bus, looked at me and said: "she's supposed to know where she is". I was LIVID! How dare she try to blame this on me? Finally someone told me they sold it in a machine inside of the kiosk. I ran there with my child to get myself a mask. Problem: the machine only takes coins, and they didn't have change. Needless to say I was beyond aggravated at this point. Then a very nice conductor called Aroma (sp?) gave me a mask. I thought now I only needed to get my child one. As I stood there with another woman who was also looking to get a mask I saw the bus pull away. I said: "wait! The bus is leaving! I cannot wait another 30 minutes in the sun with my child!" Someone finally told me my child didn't need a mask. We RAN to the bus and we're able to catch it before it departed the parking lot. As soon as we got into the bus I realized they have free headphones. WAIT! They can offer free headphones, but not the required masks? How does that make sense? WHATEVER! The ride went well. There were several options for the audio and I feel like I got to see a lot of the city. I would use this company again despite their poor customer service.

Very disappointing. Many seats without working audio guides and even if it is working the quality is so low that you have trouble to understand it. The blue route leads you through industry and the airport, there are no interesting sights on this route. It took way longer than 2 hours because we were stuck in traffic all the time. All in all I can't recommend Grey Line

I would not even give it a star if I could leave a review. We took it to rest our feet and to have an overview of the city to decide what to do through our vacation in Lisbon. There is no content, there is no information whatsoever and the routes just take you through a couple of places that are worth it and could be visited by taking public transportation, a cab or a tuctuc (you can find them through out the city. It’s a waste of time and money. The buses are the same as all around the world.

  • 1/5 Alexander T. 1 year ago on Google
We bought a 'voucher' online what could only be turned in a ticket at one office in the city. So basically we couldn't hop on a bus because our mobile version was not valid. But the bus didn't come anyway and we couldn't find the bus stops because there is just no map available online. In the end we had to buy another ticket at a different company.

I would book them if you plan on doing a semi private tour. I booked a tour with MAXIMUM 8 people… however the bus had 24 people. They told me sorry. Take it up with customer service on the phone. They would not even discuss it or talk about it on the line. It seemed like they didn’t want others to hear. A complete scam. This is not a mini van. This is a massive bus. The seats are tiny. The AC does not work…. Update: our first stop at a restroom. The bathroom had no toilet seat. Do not trust this company. Another update: the AC vent and surrounding areas are ALL DUST and the back window is shattered

Horrible, not on time. Very costly, and the stops are near impossible to find. Had to do some Sherlock Holmes level investigation to find one. The maps provided don't have the detail needed to find them, and locals don't really know the stops either considering the signs are A4 size mounted on a lamp post. Made this throwaway account just to post this, absolutely horrid. Don't even consider using their services, both for your sanity and the sanity of those you are with.

First we were unable to find the bus stop as there is no enlarged map tofto the stop. Then the empty bus arrives and would not wait 15 seconds for my family to catch it, next bus does not show up at all. Bought a combined boat ticket but there was now guided tour or audio guide on the boat as advertised. Also their disinfectants made the boat sticky and left marks on our clothes. Considering to claim a refund.

(Translated by Google) Everything actually started very well. Nice tour, narration in German etc. Unfortunately everything changed when we wanted to take a certain bus. The women at the bus stop said it was 10-15min, but then it went 45min, a bus even missed our stop. But we had the best experience when we wanted to go back. When we were waiting for the bus, a bus drove back exactly the same distance as it went, as described. So all right and right. But he did not want to stop because the stop is only served on the outward journey. This would have been a 30sec thing. What a pity. Everything would have a lot of potential. After that we waited for the next bus for 1 hour. (Original) Eigentlich hat alles sehr gut begonnen. Schöner Rundgang, erzählung in Deutsch usw. Also alles gut und recht.

Awful. Chose a bus tour as my back was bad. Seat shape was so painful and I’m petite. They didn’t turn up for 3 hours in Belém and then changed the stop and then broke down. Buses always packed can rarely get a seat and the talking if you do get a seat is soo annoying. Staff were rude and told me I had to find the exact woman I got ticket from to get a refund, yeah right! I went off peak too so can’t imagine how bad in peak. Do not book this company, the other red and yellow turn up all the time, they have more buses

Beware! There are no second chances with this company! Maria, in the office booth, with a stoic demeanor and lack of customer service skills, told us lost or misplaced ticket policy, which is no replacement. Must buy again. To top this off, our first day of accessing this tour we weren’t given good service. We had to ask for a map. All hop on/off companies I’ve used to date usually offer you a map at least. Beware. The buses are good shape and all. Tours were great. The booth of workers to redeem ticket isn’t so great. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya. Whatever you do don’t lose ticket! Check competition policy to see if similar policy.

On last July, my dad and I went on a tour on the third day of our holiday in Lisbon, Portugal and the tour was all right. WORST tour bus agency ever! The rudest staff I have ever encountered. I was at the main stop - waiting for over 15 minutes for the bus to leave. There were about three bus drivers - chatting and laughing about how hot it was. I got up asked what time it was leaving at and they started laughing even more. The worst people I have ever met. I do not recommend this agency at all!

(Translated by Google) Everything has its positive and negative sides! I start with the positive ones: interesting areas are easy to get to, I had a really great young woman as a driver today The negative things are: most drivers do not speak English, the descriptions of the places could be more detailed, waiting for the bus is a matter of luck (will he come, if so when ?!) Conclusion: seeing a lot quickly is great, otherwise I recommend buying a 24h ticket and using the buses or metro! Is cheaper and faster!

Never ever again with GRAY. I wouldn't choose this company again. We had booked the 48h package for 26 € per person. Included are 4 different tours of 30-120min duration. On the second day we booked the tour Cascais. For inexplicable reasons the tour was almost 3h long instead of 1h 40min. In addition, the bus driver took a break of 40min in the middle. The bus driver drove like a madman, was always at the mobile phone and not concentrated. In addition, 4 of 8 sights were not even visited on the tour. The company GRAY is simply catastrophic.

(Translated by Google) Tickets bought over the internet for two days. You have to exchange this e-ticket for a stupid receipt. It turned out to be 1 line tour instead of 2. By making the difference, we were allowed to do a two-line bus tour. Unfortunately we had lost the receipt. We asked for a copy of our receipt, but we didn't get it, we just had to buy new ones. The people from the kiosk were very rude (Read: very anti-social!) Call number of the gray line, they were also very rude (anti-social). Later contacted the internet company where we had bought our tickets. This company has handled it neatly. They have refunded the money. I really do not recommend this cityrama gray line in terms of friendliness. Tour is good, bus drivers were polite. Due to the bustle in the city it can sometimes take a little longer, but the bus drivers can't help it. By antisocial behavior of the kiosk person I give them 1 star. Tour is goed, buschauffeurs waren beleefd.

We decided to go with Gray Line as opposed to their competition and regretted it very much. DO NOT TRUST THEIR MAP!! We got the red and green lines tickets. We took the red line first and hopped off at point 8 and walked to get back on the bus on point 9. We checked the map and found the sign. we waited for almost on hour when someone else told us the pick up point was on the other side of the street. I am assuming they changed the stop at some point and never cared to update the map or move the sign, or let passengers know of the change. We then took the green line, which was a very small bus. The driver would get to a stop and, if no one was getting off, he would just keep going. He never waited, not even 10 seconds, which I found bizarre. When we got off on point 8, he told us that was not the actual stop and told us where it was. Again, I found it unethical of his part, since he really wasn't giving people any chance to get on the bus. When we went back to the stop to get back on the bus, we waited for 35 minutes for the first one to show up. The driver stopped to tell us she didn't have any room. We waited another 30 minutes and decided to Uber back to the hotel. Horrible experience!! Waste of our time and money!

(Translated by Google) Wasted money. The buses rarely go, the line to Cabo da Roca is served only once or twice a day. When and if you only get to know when you are at the start stop ("next bus in three hours"). The inner-city lines are probably more frequent, but still far too rare to really be "hop on, hop off". Rather, "hop off, search and wait", because bus stops will be relocated, but it will not reveal where to go. If you then get a bus, you can hear horribly listless explanations, accompanied by depressing monotonous Fado. Pro: The buses were clean and well maintained, the drivers okay. (Original) Rausgeschmissenes Geld.

(Translated by Google) You are annoyed that you have to give a star. The beginning was great. Good advice and tips. Then paid. That’s it. Don't know why departure times are advertised when nobody cares. Keep in mind that there is a lot of traffic in the city. But if you call after 40 minutes and carry on the bus and you are told: the next one is coming and that the other one has driven 15 ahead of time, you get annoyed. Got out three times and waited every time. Next time again publicly or me taxis. Lisbon is too beautiful to spend time at stops.

Driver decided unilaterally, without telling passengers o board, while he was driving the red line to change route. So never stopped where should have, then rudely informed passengers who dared asked it was 40 minutes to return. Rude to foreigners, constantly chatting on the phone and mumbling. Worst service ever. Do NOT recommend. Expensive and a bloody joke.

We did a tour today with Gray Line around Lisbon. Overall we found the tour pretty ordinary, just not that interesting. Using our earphones so we could hear the history etc. we had to put up with Michael Bublé throughout the tour. No one should be put through that. I ended up removing the earphones. Apart from Michael Bublé, he was singing Christmas carols! I mean it’s January 14! I’ve done bus tours in the past without music, it was totally fine. Smarten up Gray Line!!

(Translated by Google) Disorganized service with confusing schedules, poorly signposted meeting points and are not included in the transport apps, hurried drivers, in addition the bus app does not work on Android. The service pamphlet is out of date containing lines that no longer work. It served to know the city but it could be better in the points mentioned.

(Translated by Google) Tourism company provides tours. I found what I did with tight schedules and I almost had to run around on site visits to keep short time limits. In a big religious store in Fátima, it took 20 minutes that I barely got on and off the bus! The driver was excellent AND prices are high. (Original) Empresa turismo fornece tours. It was a nice tour - sintra deluxe. The guide and bus driver were good at their jobs and very friendly. I took the tour and lunch included. Maybe it would be nice to know what the lunch included. I was the only one of the group that had the prepaid lunch. I will use this company for future Portugal tours.

😠 I'm putting one star because I can't put less. They have been HARRASSING my family since 1995!!!!! Extorting money by taking advantage of my aging grand-parents. The biggest scam I have EVER seen. If this fraud does not stop, and they don't give the stolen money back, I am filling a lawsuit for sure...

😠 Here’s my honest and long review: Pros: The staff is very friendly, they let us keep our luggage after checking out.
