What a great experience!! Rui and Diogo are top notch instructors, giving the tips and skills needed for a great day on the water! Both are super friendly and easy to get along with too which makes for a better experience. Rui runs a smooth and relaxed operation :) The location and beach bar/restaurant are perfect for a relax with beautiful scenery between lessons. 👌🤙 Give them a go you won't regret it!!

I had three days of surfing with my friend and must say it was incredible. Definitely one of the best experiences in my life. I never surfed before but the surfing school instructors were very professionals and taught us well. All of them are super friendly and nice. Also I loved resting for a while in the surf school’s bar after the lesson and enjoyed the food and drinks there. I could say million positive things about it but just go and experience it! I would recommend 100% Epic Surf School! I hope to get back there as soon as possible. ❤️

Go there with your eyes closed! We took a one day session and Rui was great with us! He came to pick us up and explained everything to us very well! Our teacher was Carlos (alias denis bro gnard) and he was great both about safety rules and learning to surf! It was a real pleasure to share this day with him! In short, a school where you will feel at home! Go there with your eyes closed!

Winter or Summer, anytime i come in Lisbon I take surf lessons with Epic Surf. Rui and his team are very nice and professional people! You see immediately their experience and passion on this sport! The surfing spot is located in Costa da Caparica, 20-25 min far from Lisboa center, hence when you book the lesson you may include the transfer to there from on of the different pick up points. Everything is easy with Epic Surf, just chill and have fun!

I would recommend this surfschool 10/10. Followed a course a year ago and that was nothing compared to this course. The teacher was great, very involved in your learning curve and very enthousiastic the whole day! It consisted of great transportation too! We got picked up close to our accomodation and brought to the beach, it was easy to communicate and the overall services were just perfect! Thanks for the amazing day!

We have booked three days surf lessons with Rui & the Epic team. The communication was super friendly from the beginning and Rui organized everything uncomplicated and professional. I have previously compared many surf schools in terms of price-performance ratio and am glad that we have decided for the Epic Surf School. The transport from Lisbon to the beach is particularly noteworthy, which worked great. Costa da Caparica is a beautiful surf spot with sandy bottom and waves for every surf level. We both were absolute beginners, but Rui and our instructor Diogo were encouraging and explained everything technically flawless. Through the valuable advice, you can actually surf your first wave within the first lesson. And even if you don't get it right the first time, Rui and Diogo managed to motivate and keep you going. So in the end it was just fun and unfortunately the time went by way too fast. Regarding equipment and professionalism we can only advise everyone to visit the Epic Surf School. These were certainly not our last surf lessons! Thanks to Rui & Diogo from Anne & Julia.

Just finished the lesson. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I was with other 3 friends and we spent a really good time. Our instructor was nice and explained everything really well. We had a lot of fun! Something to recommend for sure to fully enjoy Portugal 😊

It was great to meet Rui and Ivo. Rui who runs the school is absolutely passionate about his job and it's great to see! Communication with Rui was great and I felt very welcomed. I had a lesson with Ivo who gave me some great tips. Super relaxed atmosphere and I'll be back for sure!

My girlfriend and I wanted to take a surfing lesson and I can only advise you to learn with those guys. Firstly, they are passionate about what they do: Rui is a lovely and honest guy who really wants you to spend the best time of your life. He picks you up at a meeting point and drives you to the beach where you will get a great lesson and price is reasonable (50€ each if there are at least 4 people and 70€ each for a private duo lesson). The beach is really big and waves were really good and the restaurant serves tasty and fresh food. Our instructor Zé was awesome. He spent some time explaining the basics to us before jumping into the water. We felt well prepared when we surfed the first waves and he was very good at teaching us and correcting our mistakes. I would definitely recommend anyone to surf with Epic Surf. We would go back again next time we are in Lisbon. Obrigado guys!

Perfect experience. Went with a friend for our first time surfing, we did a private lesson so we could learn it a bit better. At the end of the day we where surprised what we where capable of doing. We got teached by Ze. Will recommend this place, good vibes!

I organised a hen-party in Lissabon and I decided to book a surfing lesson. I have found Epic surf school, Rui responded immediately and all the arrangements went fast and very smoothly. He picked us up in the cool surf van and the adventure began. The instructors were amazing, especially Jose, they were encouraging us, motivating us, teaching us and making sure, we are all safe and still having enormous amount of fun. I cannot find words which could describe how amazing Rui and his team were. All the girls were amazed and we all agreed we will definitely come back to Lissabon and take more lessons.

Hands down best surf school in Lisbon area. Super easy to contact, very responsive on whatsapp - organised 3 days of surfing with just one day notice. Instructors are super friendly and have been surfing for a long time - can teach you how to surf and have fun very quickly. The school picks you up in Lisbon and brings you back after. The beach base is great, with secure lockers, showers and a nice beach restaurant to relax after the session.

My wife and I had an exceptional time at Epic Surf School. Ruis was brilliant and professional, we felt in safe hands throughout, especially as it was our first time on the waves. Ruis was brilliant with my wife, as she was a bit nervous and even got her (almost) standing up after a two hour lesson. I managed to get up a couple of times and have the confidence to hire a surfboard solo, when I next go to the beach. The amenities were fantastic and we had a great time. Well worth the private lesson, although it was a tad more expensive. Don't have anything too excessive planned for the next day though, as you will definitely get your moneys worth in the sea!

Amazing experience! Excellent instructors and very good equipment! All the lessons were very clear. It was the first time on a surf board for me and my friends and during the first lesson all of us were able to stand up and surf the waves.

The best surf lesson I've ever had....I can really surf now and feel safe & in control in the water. Diogo was an amazing teacher, and Rui's surf school is in an incredible location. We stayed for lunch and had the best time. Thank you Epic!!!

Such a great experience. Rui and Diego are so kind, we felt at ease the second we met them. They explain everything very well and you feel safe and confortable. They even let you have a beer at the end right in front of the beach. Thank you so much, we'll come again soon.
