One of the most beautiful viewpoints in the city. Can see the entire waterfront as well as the bridge. On a bright sunny day, such a great view! Walk up to it from one side involves quite a bit of steps, so would be mindful of that, but definitely worth the effort. Also a great view of the castle. Definitely recommend doing this!

I think this is the best place for viewing Lisbon! You get the view of most of the important sites from above (bridge, castle and old city). There is always live music around there and it is big enough so everyone can enjoy the views. The walk up is quite steep but not too difficult so can be achieved pretty easy for most of the people. There is not entrance fee to get up there and see the views.

Beautiful view of the City of Lisbon. This viewpoint is located in the Graca neighborhood, which is higher up. One can easily walk there but it’s uphill, another alternative is to take the Tram.

This viewpoint popped up during my research of things to do in Lisbon. It's free and you get spectacular views of the city. I believe there is a tram that you can take up to the viewpoint but taking an Uber will be quicker and probably cheaper (especially if you have multiple people). We ended up walking to our next destination and it's A LOT of steps to get back down. Luckily, it was going down because going up all of those steps would have been a struggle. It's worth a visit but if you're thinking of walking up, you may want to think twice.

came for a walk around Penha de França area in the afternoon on the 4th week of January. The weather was beautiful and pretty sunny day. View point of Senhora do Monte is beautiful and one of my favorite place to visit! around midday was quiet with no tourist. there’s always an artist present playing songs. There’s many Love Lock padlocks on the fence. Also a very beautiful view of Lisbon from here

Tram 28E to get there. The view is really good but you should go morning, at the end of afternoon the sun in in front of you which is bad for pictures and also the view gets darker. Be ready that usually is very windy there even when seems hot downstairs.

Lotta stairs to climb if you choose the wrong path…which I did. But the view here is awesome. Lovely and you see the city from high up so it’s great.

Beautiful place! You can see over Lisbon very well. The easiest way to get up there is by an electric tuktuk! Must visit in Lisbon!

We found this the beat view point in Lisbon. It was a tiring journey to the top since we walked but trams can also drop you very close to it. The views from the spot are spectacular and totally worth the effort to reach there. We went there twice, once in the day time and then for viewing the subset. Both the views were phenomenal. It's a highly recommend please to visit in Lisbon!

A high up vantage point that has a great view of Castelo de S. Jorge(St. George’s Castle) and a great birds eye view of the city. Sunset view is magnificent and I personally think was the best time for visiting. This place is accessible via famous #28 trolley and mini bus #10B. The later route involves climbing quite bit breath-taking steps.

Another free gorgeous view over Lisbon! I liked how you can get the castle in your view here, which makes for a beautiful panoramic. Our Tuk Tuk tour guide took us here, otherwise we wouldn't have discovered it. I can imagine it's a beautiful sunset here. It's less crowded than some of the Miradouro's in busier locations that tourists can just stumble upon, but we were told it gets busy for sunset.

Beautiful views from one of the highest points of Lisbon. We went to watch the sunset though it was cloudy so didn't get to see much. The area itself however is really lovely. A lot of love locks left on the fences and not busy at all

Called "Balcony of Lisbon", one of the most beautiful viewpoint in Lisbon. Perfect place for a date or break time. Easy to find, about 7 min walk from Intendente or Martim Moniz metro station. Tip: Take sweater or scarf, the place is usually windy.

One of the most scenic panorama views of Lisbon area and the sea. When I was there there was a live band playing at the top and there is also a very wonderful espresso cart. Come enjoy this wonderful place to see how amazing Lisbon is if you haven't got that vibe already this will surely do it for you. It has the best city views and great place for sunsets

Highest place in town to offer nice city panoramas. We where there during the evening: it was a bit crowded, young people having good time and also a band playing life music. Lisboa style..really enjoyed it.

Lovely place high up on the mountain which gives you a magnificent view of the city. We were there on a sunny day (it gets windy up there) and spent a few minutes admiring the sights before walking back down "into town". Some drinks are available form vendors if needed.

The highest viewpoint in Lisbon with the best views of the city. An Incredible point of view with a breathtaking perspective over the city and its surroundings. There was a bit of a hill climb but, it was well worth it. It is a popular spot among tourists and locals.

One of the most iconic views of Lisboa. Don’t miss it, even though it’s touristic… and look out for the Secret Garden next to it! Its a secret garden… you will love it!

A great example of Yogi Berra's quote, " Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded". Like every other promontory in Lisbon, s beautiful view that was ruined by too many people in too small an area. Must be an incredible view on a clear, crowdless morning.

The “Viewpoint of the Lady of the Mount” is at the top of Lisbon’s tallest hill. The name derives from a glass-encased image of the Virgin that stands in front of a charming white chapel dedicated to St. Gens, a bishop martyred in Roman times. Amazing place to visit!

Lovely place with an awesome view, especially in the evening. A perfect combination with the castle, as they offer two different perspectives while being relatively closely nearby. We went there on a very windy (and a bit rainy) evening and still had a nice view on the illuminated Lisbon.

The Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, or the Viewpoint of the Lady of the Mount, sits atop one of Lisbon's many hills. While the climb up the steep steps might be a bit of a workout, it's absolutely worth it, if you ask me. This viewpoint offers sweeping panoramic views of Lisbon. There's often live music in the area, and there are trees as well so there's enough shade for everyone if you visit in the afternoon when the sun is still overhead. There's no entrance fee required to access this viewpoint so it's open to everyone!

Walking that very long steep stairs to the top to see the view of Lisbon is well worth it. You grab a drink from the food truck or Cafe near by, while listening to live music, or just relax on a bench taking in the view. We went on a weekend, so it was a bit crowded, but nevertheless we enjoyed. There are the Tuktuks if you want to get a ride back down, or the funicular near by as well (not sure of the price for either though).

So many beautiful viewpoints in Lisbon, but this one is extra special. This is the highest of all the Lisbon viewpoints or Miradouros. Named after a small chapel perched high up on the hill. Spectacular views of all of Lisbon, with the Castelo de São Jorge to the left and the Cristo Rei statue and the 25 April Bridge in the distance. The climb is worth it, but if you want to avoid it there are regular tuk tuks rides available.

Very popular touristic place. If you want enjoy view without too many people around - try to visit Miradouro da Senhora do Monte before 9:00 AM or after 11 PM #Miradouro da Senhora do Monte - it's not only the highest point in Lisbon with a view to the river, to the Castelo, to the north and so on ... it's one of the places in the city, where stones and streets help you to feel the history of the Lisbon ...

One of my favourite viewpoints in the city, but it’s always super super busy at sunset. There’s often a musician playing at sunset and people having a drink and hanging out. Beautiful views of Lisbon. It is very easy to get here by tram 28 and then few steps up. We were there at the sun set so the cart with drink was not opened anymore but thankfully we had a bottle of wine with us so we could watch the sun going down, sip the wine, chat and listen to other people having a great time. Very popular place amongst the locals so it's good to blend in. And thank you to the band of 4 guys playing and singing. They made that evening very chill and really special (if someone knows their name, please let me know).

One of the joys of Lisbon is being able to walk the side streets and make your way up to scenic viewpoints like this. It gets busy up here and there was a two man band banging away on drums and guitar when I was there which may or may not enhance the experience depending on your point of view. Also a mobile cafe if you need to stock up for the down hill return. The view is panoramic as you would expect and gives a good sense of how Lisbon is still a city of low rise buildings. The nasty 1960s/70s developments are behind you.

  • 5/5 Jainif M. 1 year ago on Google
I thought this place provided the best overlook of the city. Stunning views that are worth making the hike up to see. There are musicians at the top playing music and folks dancing to the music so it’s just a good vibe all around

Great view over the city for free. Also to walk up there is just a joy. If you come early in the mornig there is no people and you can enjoy the spot entirely. We arrived there quarter to nine and still nearly noone there.

The hype for high viewpoints in Lisbon is real. This one is probably the best. I arrived at least 40 min before sunset. I looked for a nice spot to wait. Buy some lemonade or grab drink and snack at stores around. Peak hour can be overwhelming for introverts but people is just nice with each other. They will make room for you to take the perfect picture.

A decent viewpoint of the city especially at sunset. Lisbon is not a spectacular looking city overall but this view does give you a good idea how everything looks. If you walk here just be prepared for an uphill walk.

Great viewpoint, probably my favorite in Lisbon because of its altitude and very broad view. You can see everything from Alfama all the way to the Tram 28 stop. Great spot for sunsets as well. It does get crowded at times, but if you come early you can definitely secure a spot.

  • 5/5 Ciera C. 1 year ago on Google
YOU MUST COME IN THE EVENING! After a whole day’s walk in the city I was totally exhausted , the last strength I got pushed me to climbed all the way here, thinking it’s the last night in Lisbon anyway, just do it. After I reached the spot, the night view of the city was breathtaking, made me feel all the walk was worth it and the view definitely made my day. The pictures were not even half of how it looks like in real life. If you are in Lisbon, you must come here in the evening!!!!!

Nice viewing point, high up in the hills of Lisbon. You can see the main city in all its glory from this site. There is no entry charge. You can also enjoy a coffee or small snacks at small carts next to the viewing point.

  • 4/5 Jeff E. 6 months ago on Google
The steps are steep and they are many to climb to this lookout, but they are worth it. There are great views at this highest point in Lisbon. It's busy as it is full of tourists, but there is space enough for everyone. From here, you can see many landmarks throughout the city, many of which you have/will likely visit if you're visiting Lisbon. There is plenty of shade from the many trees, some benches for a break, and also snacks and drinks from a nearby café or food truck. It's a nice view and a good place to sit and just enjoy the weather and people, but most people will only spend a few minutes here and then move along. If the climb up is too daunting, never fear, as there are plenty of tuk tuk drivers willing to transport paying tourists through the winding roads to the top! This is often one of the stops in many of the tuk tuk tour packages as well. Enjoy the view!

  • 5/5 Jessica R. 9 months ago on Google
I love this lookout in the Graça neighbourhood - one of my favourites for sure. If you look hard enough, you’ll find a set of steps that lead you to a secret garden where you can order snacks and drinks while enjoying the views of this beautiful city. Definitely worth a visit!

Lisbon it's beautiful going under the bridge takes your breath away. We had a ride in a tut tut it was too warm to walk. Saw so much more.

A great view point of the city. It’s popular too, not to crowded but it’s still a lot of people so be sure get there maybe 40 minutes before sunset if that’s what you’re trying to catch. The sunset view is beautiful. It does get a bit chilly so carry a light jacket or scarf.

Beautiful views but a bit of a victim if its own success. Its filled with taxis and other tourist transport and a busker had set up a loud boom box and was treating everyone to his loud and rather poor performance. Just down the hill, there arevtwo exceptional tile walls made up with tiles made in the 90s. Great colours and textures.

Located in the garden of the Nossa Senhora do Monte chapel, this area is one of the most beautiful spots where you can watch the panoramic view of Lisbon. Street musicians also accompany the view with their beautiful music.

Hienot näkymät kohti Lissabonin keskustaa. Todella jyrkät portaat kiivettävä ylös. Iso miinus, että alue oli melko levoton päivälläkin. Koditon tuli meille huutelemaan.

👍👍 Beautiful place. It's such a pleasure to be here in any season in full sun or under the moon. The Belem tower is awesome ! This fortress in the middle of the Tagus has been the starting point for the navigators who set out to discover the trade routes. The expansive spirit is still present here. En...
