We loved our time at the Halcyon I with captain Luis and his son Francisco. The ride included: drinks and food treats, blankets in case we got cold, amazing sunset, a unique view of the whole city from the water, and interesting historical facts about Lisbon told by Francisco! He is a very good storyteller and accurate with his historical facts!!! All while feeling completely at home as if it was our friend’s boat. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon. Such a true Lisbon experience with true locals!!! ⛵️🌅🥂

Superb tour aboard a sailboat, allowing you to discover Lisbon from another angle, and especially with a superb sunset. The two people who welcomed us for this getaway were very kind and very interesting.

Fantastic. Seeing Lisbon from offshore, under sail on a nearly 50-yr-old wooden sailboat with a captain who is giving you the history of the monuments as you pass them was a perfect evening for our short week in the city. The snacks and sparkling wine were icing on the cake. We can wait to come back and repeat the experience. Thank you Luis!

We booked this tour as a group of 12 and it was fantastic. The boat was great and everyone in our party commented on what an amazing tour it was. Luís's knowledge of Lisbon was excellent and the nibbles and beer provided was a great touch. Throughout booking this via email Luís replied almost instantly to all my queries. Luis is a perfect host. He responds quickly and is a pleasure to deal with. He has very deep knowledge regarding the history of Lisbon and its monuments. Furthermore, he has by far the most beautiful sailing boat of all providers. I highly recommend his tours.

Luis and Halcyon I tours were great. Sadly I didn’t get his assistants name but he was equally accommodating. Would highly recommend using his company! Very nice people and knowledgeable on the history of Portugal and the pertinent monuments/landmarks.

Did the tour already a second time and can say again: it‘s one of the most beautiful things you can do in Lisbon. Luis and his son are wonderful hosts giving their guests a better view on that wonderful city. Sunset-mood and the Lisbon scenery seen from the water are awesome and passing by Ponte 25 de Abril can‘t be more beautiful.

What a FANTASTIC thing to do! I took the 2 hour sunset cruise. There were only 10 people on it. Luis is fantastic! So hospitable! The boat is his house and has been for over 9 years. We were all made to feel at home. We had champagne all through the journey and some Nibbles. Absolutely recommend!

This was one of the best things we did in Lisbon! Luis’ boat is beautiful and he and his dog DC are so welcoming. You go all along the Lisbon coastline as the sun sets and it’s a stunning view. Really good value and would do this again in a heartbeat.

A proper boat - a wooden yacht - the way it's supposed to be. And Luis and his first mate Francisco did a great job sailing and providing storytelling at the same time. You can definitely tell how much pride the guys put in the boat, and in the maritime tradition of Portugal. This is a great experience in every way, it's also a nice break from the more intense vibe in the city. Highly recommended!

It was an awesome experience with Luis. His boat is history it self. He is such a nice host and told so many story's about the city and the historical monuments. We loved the experience.

Unforgettable experience. We rented the whole yacht for the two of us for 3 hours, incl. wine and dinner (served during the sail). Luis and Elena made it the perfect trip. Very discreet and unobtrusive, Luis sporadically came over to tell us some historical and fun facts about his home town. He made us falling in love with Lisbon even more. He had also cooked the dinner, which was delicious. The yacht is beautiful and more than 50 years old. We were sailing most of the time and did not use the motor. We will always come back when in Lisbon. Thanks Luis and Elena for an unforgettable experience!

The boat is beautiful, the view of Lisbon across the Tagus is enchanting and the boat captain is highly courteous. Highly recommend.

Couldn't recommend this experience enough. We booked a sunset boat trip and it was the highlight of our time in Lisbon. It was super easy to book via WhatsApp with Luis and then pay cash aboard. It's a beautiful wooden boat and wonderful couple who sail it (with their lovely little dog greeting you when you board); trips are small and not overcrowded like others, so it feels really special. The tour is accompanied with historic facts and stories, the chilled sparkling wine and canapés were a lovely touch.

This boat tour was the end of our time in Portugal and it was the perfect ending! Luis and his assistant did an incredible job. The boat is an old wooden one that made the experience even better. He was great at telling us the history of Lisbon and answering our questions. We had difficulty with traffic getting to him, but he was willing to wait for us. Overall we give this a 5++++ rating. Don't miss this. You will regret it.

This was our 2nd time on the Halcyon. Both times it has been a fantastic experience- small group, beautiful sailboat, great views of the city. And Luis takes the time to share his knowledge of Lisbon's history, which only adds to the enjoyment. Highly recommend!

We hired Halcyon 1 for a two -hour trip in June 2022 to celebrate a 25th Wedding anniversary. Was very easy to set up, emailing the owner direct (he is very responsive). We were 12 adults and the boat was plenty large enough - much bigger than the alternative more modern boats that make the same trips in Lisbon. The boat was fantastic, lots of character, and we could walk all around it. Plenty of sparkling wine and some small hors d'oeuvres were provided by Luis's first mate. A great experience and very, very good value. Cannot recommend it enough.
