Gorgeous church high up on the hill with the most spectacular views of Lisbon. Very modest exterior architecture, but an exquisite interior. Small monastery with a 5€ entrance fee. The climb is steep but well worth it.

I finally saw the church from the inside. I was surprised, it's very, very beautiful. A great bonus is that you can go up to the terrace and enjoy the view of the city, with a drink on offer. As the place isn't very popular yet and is priced at 5 euros (which I think is super cheap compared to other cities), I was able to enjoy it and have a moment to myself.

What a hidden gem! Walk through the church to the convent and you’ll find the stairs to the terrace. It’s 5euro entrance but you get a beautiful glass of wine included at the top (rose, white or port) and the view are a stunning 360 vista of the city. Best view and best wine!

Lovely, quiet retreat in 12th-Century church. Light a candle for someone you love, consider modern art inspired by Christian belief as well as ancient blue tile work. Then enjoy the view by following the rooftop path (feels like a secret) around the old iron bell. Complimentary water or wine just adds to the view of the bridge, river, castle, and giant Christ statue overlooking the red tile roofs.

Seemingly underrated spot to view the sunset. 5 euros per person for a free drink and access to the top of the church, which had incredible views of the city without a big crowd

This place is a hidden treasure. Church and monastery is free to visit. I really loved ceramic tiles. There is a cafe in front of the monastery. It is hilarious. Not too many people are interested in the monastery. That's pity. You can donate for maintenance. Do not miss the view of course.

We can take a meaningful walk in the area of the beautiful complex of buildings, seeing the majestic church in its simplicity, ornate, tiled corridors, the courtyard and the museum. Connected to the viewingpoint, it is an important stop for a sightseeing tour of Lisbon.

skip the crowded Tram 28 at Martim Moniz and walk uphill along the narrow cobbled streets to enjoy a city panorama. The church itself is rich in architecture and weaves a tale worth reading

Lisbon best kept secret. Visitor can choose to pay €5 to visit their exhibition, choir, and their viewpoint. They are not lying, this is the best lookout point in Lisbon (and I have been few of them). Majority of visitors miss this opportunity to pay a small price for a tranquil and picturesque viewpoint, there were only 4 people there when we visited. And did I mention the entrance fee comes with a free glass of wine?

Take the opportunity to go back in time to what it must have been like to be a nun living in the monastery - all for free and a brill view over the city too.

Nice convent with cloister. Only a small portion of the building has been reopened after extensive renovation following the early 19th century shutdown. The gardens are still in their unkept form, but the overall contrast and architecture is very pleasing. Church is quite impressive. Don’t miss JC in his own little alcove, at the front to the right.

In the church of Graça you can find beautiful azulejo with the scene of the martyrdom of Queen Ketevan (Quuen of Kakheti, Georgia) .

Beautiful church with one of the best viewpoints in the city of Lisbon. A part of the convent was showcasing some amazing exhibition when I visited and that made the visit even better. The architecture is aesthetic, both outside and inside, and you are bound to spend a good amount of time admiring the cathedral and the views of Lisbon.

A hall adjacent to the church is a good place to see blue tiles (azulejo) for free, or a suggested donation.
