It's a big place to visit. I don't put 5 stars cause, some weeks ago i was in Roma. The cathedrale are so unbelievable that it's difficult to be full absorb by this more Classic One. However, it's beautiful and you feel good energy inside. The place is quiet even with lot of tourists.

One of the interesting things to see within the Santa Maria de Belem (free entry) is the Church at Jerónimos Monastery is the tomb of Navigator, Vasco de Gama is situated in the back of the nave. Make sure to give it a few minutes of your time during your visit to this UNESCO World World Heritage attraction.

Free with your metro card, the queue for this was much smaller. Excellent insight into the history and how they expand the number of ‘believers’. Immaculately kept.

A solid heavy church. Not many stained glass windows but other features impressed me.

Finally, no queue to access the church next to the Jeronimo monastery. Busy architecture. Tomb of Vasco da Gama

Visited here on a Friday around noon - this was free for us with a shorter line to the right of the St. Jerome’s Monastery. Due to it being busy it was hard to ask anyone details - didn’t realize it was free until we went into the park to the glass kiosk to buy tickets. It’s definitely worth it…one of the most awe-inspiring churches I’ve been in. Very grand with incredible architecture and stained glass. Quite busy because it is free but well worth it.

Architecture and church are overwhelming. Waiting time on a good day: 60 minutes waiting in deep sun for 10 minutes watching. Arbitrarniss of the waiter how much people are allowed to get in…really disappointing for a UNESCO sight. Wish to have more organisation there.
