I
would
not
recommend
Indie
Campers.
We
had
multiple
issues
with
indie
campers
during
our
recent
trip
to
Iceland
but
I
understand
that
things
sometimes
happen
that
cannot
be
controlled.
My
biggest
issue
really
has
been
the
customer
service
(or
lack
of)
and
the
way
our
complaints
have
been
handled.
The
most
recent
development
is
that
Indie
Campers
has
now
blocked
our
emails
and
is
refusing
to
talk
to
us
(only
2
emails
were
sent
to
them,
nothing
excessive
or
unprofessional).
They
have
done
everything
they
can
to
refuse
to
own
up
to
their
mistakes
and
offer
any
sort
of
compensation.
I
will
detail
the
issues
we
had:
1
-
We
paid
extra
for
bedding
and
for
outdoor
tables
and
chairs
yet
realised
on
the
road
that
we
were
missing
some
items.
Indie
Campers
has
refused
to
give
us
any
sort
of
refund
or
compensation
for
a
product
we
payed
extra
for
but
they
did
not
provide.
2
-
We
were
told
at
the
beginning
that
a
chemical
tablet
had
already
been
put
in
the
toilet
cassette
-
we
double
checked
to
make
sure
-
but
upon
emptying
the
cassette
a
few
days
later
because
of
the
smell
we
discovered
that
there
was
never
one
in
there.
3
-
The
grey
water
tank
was
full
when
we
picked
up
the
van.
This
was
a
big
inconvenience
for
us
to
find
a
place
to
dump
this
water.
4
-
THE
BIG
ISSUE!
Towards
the
end
of
the
trip
the
camperās
engine
cut
out
six
times
in
one
day
while
we
were
driving
on
the
highway
(it
was
very
scary
when
this
happened
in
a
remote
area).
We
limped
the
car
into
a
nearby
town
and
spoke
to
customer
service
(only
available
through
WhatsApp).
They
made
us
show
a
video
of
the
dash
and
then
told
us
that
because
the
āchange
oilā
light
was
on
that
we
should
go
to
a
mechanic
that
they
suggested
to
get
the
oil
changed,
and
that
would
fix
the
problem.
Anyone
with
basic
knowledge
of
cars
would
understand
that
the
issue
was
obviously
more
than
the
oil.
We
went
to
the
mechanic
indie
campers
had
advised
us
to
go
to
and
were
told
that
they
didnāt
work
on
Fiats,
and
they
didnāt
know
why
they
were
recommended.
Those
mechanics
pointed
us
to
another
who
could
help.
The
new
mechanics
ran
a
diagnostic
and
determined
that
there
was
a
fault
with
the
engine
and
that
we
shouldnāt
drive
the
camper
anymore.
We
told
customer
support
who
began
by
saying
that
they
could
get
us
a
hotel
for
the
night,
before
swapping
our
camper
the
next
day.
This
seemed
like
a
reasonable
solution.
That
soon
changed
to
the
support
person
asking
us
to
sleep
in
the
camper
in
the
mechanics
parking
lot,
then
ride
on
a
tow
truck
back
to
Reykjavik
the
next
day
-
a
seven
hour
journey.
We
managed
to
make
it
to
a
campground
for
the
night
but
customer
support
was
insistent
that
a
tow
truck
back
to
Reykjavik
the
next
day
was
āthe
best
optionā.
Keep
in
mind
that
the
depot
in
Reykjavik
is
unreachable
by
phone,
so
there
were
no
other
avenues
for
resolution.
We
ended
up
being
towed
back
to
Reykjavik,
leaving
at
10:30am
and
arriving
at
5:30pm,
yet
our
replacement
van
wasnāt
ready
until
7pm.
Even
the
manager
there
said
he
was
sorry
for
the
situation
and
that
the
solution
they
offered
was
stupid
as
the
tow
truck
came
from
Reykjavik
and
couldāve
brought
a
replacement
van
to
us!
Apparently
he
was
told
we
were
arriving
but
was
given
no
chance
to
help
provide
a
solution.
All-in-all
we
lost
two
full
days
of
travel
and
despite
being
in
contact
with
customer
support
weāve
been
told
there
is
nothing
they
can
do
to
make
up
for
our
lost
time,
and
that
we
wonāt
be
getting
any
sort
of
refund.
The
best
they
can
offer
is
a
10%
discount
(a
laughable
amount)
on
future
trips
-
like
i
would
ever
book
with
them
again
after
the
way
we
have
been
treated.
