I don’t know how to describe this place? A restaurant or a work shop of taste. Ordinary place, good service and very clean. You can choose between 6 dishes or 8 and drinks cost extra. These 8 dishes are mostly 8 bites not more. The food is tasty and good quality. If you want to eat more than 8 bites and to spend some times to enjoy your evening, you shouldn’t go there. If you want to taste real ingredients and beautiful food decoration, than go there. To get a Michelin star is not for tomorrow. They have to put more effort on the restaurant and details. May be increase the quantity and increase the price. The quality will justify the price. Congratulation to chefs to decorate the food beautifully and specially for the choice of very fresh ingredients.

Reviews here reference a 29 and 35 euro tasting menu, but that was the old concept: the new Terroir offers a more abundant 5 or 8 course menu for 45 or 59 euro respectively. Admittedly I was a bit thrown off when this was announced to me - it is very unusual for Restaurants to bump prices by almost 100%, and I worried this would invalidate the earlier reviews. I didn't need to worry. The new Terroir is a culinary triumph. The service was just perfect, the ambience cozy and relaxed. I took the 5-course menu, and I won't spoil what I ate because I feel the incessant barrage of surprises was what made the experience so amazing - but it was all delicious There are restaurants in Lisbon that offer beautiful, genuine experiences at an affordable price. There are also a few very traditional, old school, pretentious Michelin restaurants where you'll hardly feel at ease if you don't come from money. Terroir perfectly walks the line between the two, offering a brilliant, Michelin level experience with beautiful and original combinations of local ingredients and more exotic ones, in a cozy, homely environment that makes the hours fly by, and the memories stay forever. A must for Lisbon.

Great food and service! For me, one that falls into "the culinary art". Choice of set menus of small dishes each one more clever and delicious than the previous one. The chef knows how to play with flavors, textures and temperatures for amazing results. They are series of small bites, so don't go there expecting hearty portions. If you want to try new taste combinations and be ready to be amazed, then give it a try! We had the 8 dish menu with wine pairing. Dishes came out at a great pace so you don't have to wait 15 minutes between each like at other restaurants. Staff was efficient and pleasant. Michelin star experience but without the pretentious side.

We had the 8 vegetarian moments. Unfortunately they were completely underwhelming. The presentation was nice but the taste just regular and nothing new for the senses. It seems to me that they took the regular menu and then just left out the meat and fish and called it vegetarian menu to offer something for vegetarians instead of creating the vegetarian menu from scratch. Because the taste was just blend. We aren’t even vegetarians. We just love to try out the vegetarian or vegan options at fine dining restaurants and especially Michelin starred restaurants because we are bored of the clichéd selection of ingredients on the regular menus. Sweetbread, dove, foie gras, veal, oysters.. If you are looking to experience great vegan or vegetarian fine dining..Look somewhere else.

We did 8 moments. Underwhelming experience. Good presentation but the food was mediocre at best, hence, pretentious. They say the chef is trained at michelin restaurants. Don’t rely on other people’s fame, but rather build your own.

We enjoyed the 8 moments tasting menu here, with one of us enjoying the wine pairing! The food is delicious and creative, the presentation is amazing, the service is attentive and friendly, the wine pairing was also great. The price for all of this is great. It was also great to be able to use our Fork discount. I also appreciated that they could nicely accommodate dietary restrictions. A suggestion to further strengthen the competencies of some waiters :) (still a bit amateur right now for a gourmet resto) and introduce more non-alcoholic options - beers and more types of cocktails.

Deserving of a Michelin guide review the experience was wonderful. We turned up wearing sandals and without a reservation and they accommodated us with their secret 8 moments tasting experience at the bar overlooking the chefs playing up. The service was fast and attentive but relaxed. They are clearly dedicated to the culinary art and the flavours reflected that.

Tried the 8 course set menu. Generous portions. Finished the meal stuffed. Interesting experience with several unlikely combinations that actually work well. We started at 9:30 and finished around midnight. Price in line with the experience. Don't expect to pay less than 100 euros per head. Beware of the chilly chocolate at desert. It has quite a kick...

Delicious 🤤 food, fusion cuisine, the chefs are true artists 👩‍🎨 in their particular food mixes and presentation. A must when in Lisbon!

We had a tasteful 8-course menu with wine-pairing and all the dishes were well presented. Every course was delicious and wines complimented the food beautifully. Staff was considerate, service was subtle and very friendly. I was especially pleased how food allergies were taken into consideration - when needed the whole dish was replaced with another delicious course and the original wasn’t just partially served without allergens.

This place is spectacular. First the coordination between service and kitchen very noticeable. Secondly, chef’s menu with wine pairings was lovely. The complexity of flavors and attention to detail were amazing. The wines… our sommelier was great so was the entire staff!

I have a confession... I only found this restaurant as it was one of the few in the Michelin Guide open on a Monday night... and then I had one of the most amazing meals of my visit to Portugal. The food is incredible - both in terms of flavor and presentation - this easily rivals many other fine dining establishments I eat at in NYC. The service was efficient and friendly, and the cocktail and wine recommendations were all spot on. Honestly, I'm shocked I was able to get a table at the last minute - this is the sort of place I'd expect would be fully booked months in advance - but maybe Monday nights are the right time to dine in Lisbon. Either way, don't hesitate to visit Terroir - it's a memorable dining experience.

We chose the 5 course menu with the wine pairing and enjoyed every single bite of it. All very delicious. Great service. All comes for a totally reasonable price. We'll come again at our next trip to Lisbon. Thx

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Terroir! We had a place at the counter and were able to watch the team working throughout the whole evening. I like this a lot because you could see how much work goes into the perpetration and decoration of the food and plates. The staff was super nice and did a great job explaining what we had during our eight course surprise menu. The eine pairing that came with it was full of surprises in terms of taste. The food we had was wonderful. Delicious, full of surprises and creativity. The menu is definitely worth the price you pay. I’d rather say it’s cheap than expensive! A cool spot if you like very good food in a relaxed atmosphere!

Amazing food, amazing service. I opted for the 5 moments and wished I'd picked the 8!! It was always going to be hard to top the meal I had here but my next meal after this in Lisbon was beyond disappointing (which only made the contrast even more staggering).

My boyfriend took us here for my birthday and it was great surprise. A little confusing that we got problems with finding the entrance as they’re locking the door. Pleasant atmosphere, not too much people, nice and quick service. We were asked about 5 or 8 dishes menu and we chose the last one. Very interesting experience and tasty, delicious dishes - it’s Portuguese cuisine so we were prepared for lots of seafood. Beautiful presentation, the waiters spelled out the ingredients. Recommend 😌

Beautiful place and super friendly staff. We really enjoyed the experience overall. Wines were great, food OK. Some of the dishes were too small (in my opinion), but tasty and seasonal nonetheless. The cod and the oyster are both superb. Still a lot to improve regarding desserts, none of them came up to our expectations I am afraid. Very recommended!

I had a lovely solo dinner here for my first evening in Lisbon. Service was wonderful, particularly as I had a book with me. Servers don’t always know how to deal with a solo diner, but this was top notch. Really handled the pacing well - was there for about 2 hours. Did the 8 moment menu, with 3 glasses of wine as well. Wine recommendations were spot on to the food. Food was interesting and flavorful. Nice amount of seafood, so not a heavy meal.

TL;DR: interesting restaurant! But that’s it. We tried Terroir after reading about it in a Conde Naste Traveler article and seeing that it was Michelin recommended, so just know that we came in with very very high expectations. We wanted to try a unique dinner tasting menu in Lisbon and were willing to drop some $ for it - so if that is you too, this review may help. If there are others you can land a reservation in, my pov is that you can skip this one. Pros: The meal was creative, we got the 8-course menu without the wine pairings. To us, the desserts were the best and the rest of the meal was refreshingly different/interesting to discuss after eating a lot of seafood. Food comes out fast, like really surprisingly fast for such a long meal! Some good textures throughout the dishes. Cons: It was not mind-blowing for a 200+ euro meal (for both of us). We also had to send one cocktail we did not like back. Service is lack luster—they do not go above and beyond to get you excited about their restaurant or the dishes. They don’t describe the purpose, flavor profiles or ingredients in great detail which makes it less of an experience compared to other really expensive meals we’ve had the privilege to try. We wish there was more contrast, intentionality and depth in flavors and temperatures in the dishes. BTW their espresso is Nespresso for 3 euro. Our whole meal was over 200 euros—pretty OK value for an 8-course tasting menu, 4 glasses of wine, 1 espresso and 1 cocktail. However, it did NOT meet our expectations in food quality, atmosphere or service.

Chapeau!

An amazing, delicious, inventive meal in Lisbon! This was a very thoughtful and BEAUTIFUL meal featuring many local ingredients in unexpected ways. Every bite or “moment” was perfect, as were interactions with the staff who were clearly very proud of the product they put forward! I cannot recommend a tasting experience here enough for anyone appreciative of creative cuisine and an exceptional meal! Thanks for a highly memorable night and meal Magda and team!

Wine was amazing with a helpful female sommelier. Pleasant decor & waitstaff. Expensive at almost $300 for the 5 course tasting menu with paired wines. My husband and I were both hungry as we left. Clever food presentation and well thought out but no strong menu highlights, just great wines. I Wish I had taken pictures of the wine bottles. I don’t necessarily regret it, but I would not go back. Pictures of the starter for your eyeball pleasure. Have opinions; Will share.

The place was very pleasant. The service, the food, the ambience. We went for a birthday dinner, and the staff was very kind to subtly celebrate the occasion with us. Thank you everyone for attention to detail

Excellent food, great ambience and very nice staff. Great place for dinner. We tried a la carte, opted out from the tasting menu and all were choices we made were very tasty. Some nice amuse bouche were also included. Would definitely return.

Even though the place is quit new, it was all really well organised. We were lucky to get a table because it was fully booked. You can choose between a 5 course or an 8 course dinner and these courses were accompanied by fitting wines. There is also a vegetarian or a vegan Option. There were no long waiting times between the courses and the service was very attentive. The food tasted excellent, creative and the price was all in all moderate. Looking forward to visit the place again!

We found Terroir due to the very high ratings on Google and it delivered. The food was incredible with a modern ambiance. We decided to go with the tasting menu and were very satisfied with the offerings. The location was newly opened so it is under the radar at the moment but I am sure that it will become quite famous in no time. If the chefs maintain the quality yet continue to innovate the sky is the limit for them. Highly recommend!

Just simply amazing, the food was great, we tried the 8 dishes menu, every dish the bar was raised. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Tasting menu restaurant- €45 for 5 course menu. It was our 1st time in a place like that so, when we looked at the two tiny samples on the first plate, we were not sure if we would get enough food. However, we felt quite full after the whole dinner. Came to almost €100 for two people, and we did not get any extras like wine or coffee. I would say it is on the expensive side but I would not say it's overpriced.

We had a lovely evening at Terroir restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was top. The waiters were so friendly and they all spoke English. The prices were good for the quality. The ambiance was great . Overall, I highly recommend it.

We treated ourselves to the tasting menu at Terroir along with the wine pairing. The 8 course “moments” were fantastic! Everything was thoughtfully presented and it all tasted great. Great value for such a quality culinary experience.

This place is fantastic. We were a group of 5, I have fine dining standards from New York City and this place is the same level and did not disappointed me. Top players. Service was impeccable. The food was exceptional and at Michelin level's. Flavorful with being too much, very well balance. The wine was pairing was excellent and allowed me to discover very cool Portuguese wines. This is definitely a top notch restaurant definitely a must try when visiting Lisbon
