Disappointed - that's the main feeling I have after eating here. That's not to say this restaurant isn't good but it falls very short of the mark of top tier, genuine ramen and is over priced for Lisbon. If you are visiting Lisbon as a tourist, don't eat here because there are much better restaurants from different cuisines around. If you live here then this might have to do for you for ramen in the area. The service was really great though. They gave us the restaurant tablet to view the menu when one of our phones' internet didn't work. The old fashioned I ordered was pretty good. The edamame were cooked weird but were mostly fine. The pork and veggie gyoza were really really good. Now for the ramen, we ordered the tonkotsu and tan tan men. The noodles for both different types of ramen seemed like literal spaghetti and just did not taste or feel like ramen noodles in any sense. The tonkotsu did not taste like any tonkotsu I've had before; it was fine but really did not taste like tonkotsu (and I've had tonkotsu from dozens of places). The pork belly was really good but was seasoned in a way that completely clashed with the broth and same with the egg. The staff said the tan tan ramen would be really spicy but it hardly had any kick to it at all. Also the ground pork in it was on the dry side and the broth didn't taste quite right either.

I expected a lot more based on the reviews, but I think it could be down to the lack of competition for Japanese food in Lisbon. The best element of the meal was the homemade gyoza and the generous rock salt for the edamame. There wasn't much else to sing about. The chicken cutlet was a sad little oblong nugget with very little moisture. What made it even worse was the fact that the rice was dry, basmati dry. The grains were clearly glutinous, but they didn't stick together. So odd, especially as a ginger/soy sauce was provided, but the rice had no integrity to carry it. Ramen was average to decent. Given the food in Lisbon is extremely good value on average, this just wasn't the one. I would drop an extra star if I had this in London.

The restaurant is very busy and me and my companion had a table that basically right in the pathway where people were always walking. It was also quite loud and not really a great atmosphere to relax. The service was overall good and friendly. The biggest issue was however the food. There are a lot of options to choose from (also a lit of vegetarian ones and some vegan ones). In my opinion the many options were a little overwhelming. Apart from that me and my companion both had stomach pain and didn't feel good after eating there. I had the curry Ramen with udon noodles and tofu. I didn't like the curry taste a lot and it wasn't even a little bit spicy (even though it was supposed to be). The tofu was sadly without a lot of taste. I've expected something better and more flavorful. I was a little disappointed by the taste. Especially considering the price of the food. The stomach pains were bad so I wouldn't recommend it or come here again.

The food was fresh and super tasty, and on the right temperature! The advice given by the waitress regarding the food was fantastic and a great help since it was our first time there! And a huge plus for the cocktails 👌🏼 I strongly advise to try them before the food with some appetizers. And the staff super nice!

A very nice and tiny ramen restaurant, came here an hour before having dinner and booked a table so I could walk around town for a bit before eating and it was the best decision! This place fills up fast and it's understandable, the food is great. Very rich in flavour and you can feel everything is homemade, or in this case, restaurant made, the price is very affordable for ramen standarts and the waiters were very accommodating. Can't wait to come back here and try other delicious foods!

We went here because it was close to our hotel and we both enjoy Ramen at home. It was very similar to how we make it at home which is nice and enjoyable but for that reason I wasn't blown away as it tasted the same as home made. But the waiter was really friendly and seemed to enjoy serving us. I would recommend this place for a light, easy lunch. I wish I tried the Bao buns they looked lush!

Simply the BEST. The ramens are just fabulous. Feels like what a healing food should be. The mochis are amazing and melt down with an explosion of flavor. The restaurant is a small establishment, very cozy, intimate and the staff are just a delight. We have tried different restaurants, but none could compare to Koppu. Best food, best atmosphere, best service.

Some dishes at Koppu were delicious, others were disappointing. The dumplings were perfectly fried, juicy without being oily, and had wonderful flavors––I recommend. I would also recommend the cucumber and seaweed salad. I wouldn’t eat the chicken baos again as the chicken was very dry and the bun only emphasized the lack of sauce. The tori karage wasn’t salty or crispy enough. The fried rice was medicore. It had a good balance between soy sauce and sweetness, but wasn’t very tasty. The lychee cocktail was delicious at first sip, however the foam on top was too sweet.

Price is under average (10/13 euros for a ramen). The stock/miso is good, decent ingredients, but the day I eat in...was not with fresh ramen noodles...and it felt more like spagetti. So I felt great with the entrances/covert...the flavour of the Ramen was good...but lacked good or acceptable ramen pasta. But still is a nice place for a dinner date.

We ordered: 1. Ebi Bao Katsu 2. Vegetarian Gyozas 3. Tori Karaage 4. Tantanmen Tonkotsu Ramen 5. Vegetarian Chahan The service was great. I love the tonkotsu broth, it hit the right spot. The chashu was marinated well. I love flavorful food (but I could hear my friends and family’s voices at the back of my mind saying that it would be too salty for them). All the food we ordered were great as well (suggestion: I would prefer if the Tori karaage would be cut a bit larger - to retain the moisture in the chicken, and also, to be more chicken meat ratio vs batter). The portion could also be bigger for €8. I also love their chili oil! Overall, we have great experience. Thank you for making our stay in Lisbon more tolerable. This ramen place is probably going to be the only reason for me to visit Lisbon.

We went in this place with high expectations but were left a bit disappointed. Food was fine -- we had gyozas and duck as starters and they were really good, but the ramen was just ok. Our cocktails were nice and refreshing. The space felt a bit crammed (tiny tables), and this did not help us feel too comfortable.

Hands down the best ramen restaurant that I have tried outside of Japan. I had the TAN TAN MEN TONKOTSU RAMEN, outstanding. The broth, the spices, not since Japan. I followed with ice cake with passion fruit and yuzu lemon. Highly recommend.

The only thing we enjoyed was the pork chasiu. The rest is miles away from the real thing. The shoryu broth was too light. The ramen noodles lacked texture and bite. They served the same type of noodles for tsukemen which is surprising to say the least. They were too thin to properly draw the broth. We had high expectations from previous reviews but we were let down terribly. Also, the tables are quite close to each other which is not ideal especially during covid. In Lisbon, we prefer Afuri.

Service was really nice. Very small restaurant, same like others in the city. The main thing is about the food, the ramen soup was way too salty, the saltiest I have ever had. And which doesn’t add nice flavor to the overall taste.

RESERVATION. You should make a reservation if you want to dine here. We were fortunate to walk in at 7:30 and take the only unreserved table for two. The Ramen was very good, worthy of the €12 price. Space is small. Enjoy!

I liked the setting of the place and the available menu. I still think however they could further develop their tonkotsu ramen to get that real authentic taste and texture of the pork.

I came here because my friend said it’s one of the best ramen shop in Europe, but I’m pretty sure it’s not….I wanted to give only 3 stars but I feel maybe I just don’t get this style of ramen. It’s very salty and heavy. I feel it’s a bit European fusion way instead of authentic Japanese style. I recommend people to try TakumiNine in Berlin. They are the best ramen shop in Europe for sure. Anyway, hope you have a good one.

Ordered shiitake appetizer, pork ramen, gin and tonic, very good service, fast response, I came when they closed their kitchen, but I was about to pre order using google chat 10 mins prior, shiitake was great, the ramen was first a bit salty and oily, but they walked up to me and asked if the soup was too salty, I responded yes and a bit too oily too, they immediately took my whole bowl and exchanged to a new one! It was perfect for the second bowl! They explained that locals preferred that flavor, I don’t complain! Food and drink were great, highly recommended

We love to try ramen restaurants and found Koppu Ramen around the corner of our hotel. The lady was very nice and her English was good, which made ordering easy for us. We enjoyed our hot sake and ramen very much! When our ramen arrived I said "Itdakimasu" and she immediatly responded with "Domo". Dessert was amazing as well. Thank you for the service.

We had a lovely dining experience in Koppu and would definitely come back. The menu is very exciting, with several different types of ramen soups, drinks and deserts. It’s Japanese food with a Portuguese twist, which we enjoyed. We went for the tonkotsu and were not disappointed (although we would have loved a slightly stronger flavor of pork). The place is small and always crowded, so I would strongly recommend you to make a reservation (especially during the weekends). Service can be a bit slow, but this did not bother us.

This is a review of coffee only as we did not order any food. Tiny restaurant with 6 tiny 2 chair tables on the side walk and some tables inside, it is located on a quiet side street close to avenida de liberdade. The service is fantastic. We had cappuccinos and it was nice and different from usual american chain. Good for a quick cup on the run. Euro 5.20 for 2 cappuccinos

Our initial plan for this day didn‘t work out. And maybe this was the reason to get it all the better. Looking for some place to have lunch we came across the „Koppu Ramen" by chance. Well, it has been the digital adviser inside Google Maps which nudged us in this direction. We were looking for something Asian, preferably a delicious soup. The room is both cosy and stylish equipped of some sort. Right from the beginning the people there did take care of us in a way to make us comfortable. We got our table without a problem although there were a lot of reservations. The menu came as a website on a small tablet device and thus we scrolled through the offers of food and drinks, all with a photograph. (HINT: it is the same menu you can find at the webpage of this venue. So, if you are curious about what to expect, just visit koppu.pt) Since it is really hard to come to a decision if there are so many great looking offers, the waitress was very helpful. Her recommendation for the „TAN TAN MEN TONKOTSU RAMEN“, as „our best one“ was the best fit for me as it turned out. Before the main dish we ordered Edamame and my friend went for some pieces of duck breast and dumplings. We finished our lunch with „Chocolate and Matcha Tiramisu“, accompanied by coffee with cream. If not for the food (but this is without a question at all) we would certainly come back for the offers on the cocktail menu of Koppu Ramen. There are some creations which are sounding so amazing by description only that we‘ll have to try the one or another. If you like Asian food, well prepared and served as well as a cosy atmosphere and nice staff, you should give it a shot and stop by at „Koppu Ramen“.

Tantan ramen was amazing! Full of flavor and perfectly balanced. The level of spiciness is again: perfect! The ramen in general is a perfection and I am waiting to try the other options from KOPPU menu ❤️ Additionally, talking about starters: I recommend prawns (the sauce is superior). The dish comes with „Ito tougarashi”- japanese chilli flakes 😍 And last but not least- the drink! Not only visual presentation and its appearance is eye-popping but also the taste! I love the foam. Although the drink does not consist alcohol, because I asked for the alcohol free mocktail, I was surprised how tasty it is! The atmosphere is really welcoming and you can easily come for a date or lunch with friends 🤍 I will be back soon!

My 3 years daughter and I love the snacks, especially gyoza and chicken karaage. Also ordered Tantan ramen, the noodle was great but the sesame sauce overshadowed all other flavors in the broth. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience and we visited multiple times during our stay in Lisbon

Service is good, and staff is nice! Noodles are undercooked. Not al dente but simply undercooked. Broth and gyozas are extremely salty. Ramen in general are salty, but these are so salty I felt my blood pressure elevating as I was eating it. So my son and I both left the broth. We normally finish 90%

Tonkotsu ramens (spicy and regular) were both fantastic (4.5 out of 5). The pork gyoza were literally perfect (and I literally know how to use literally, though I don't use it liberally). I've never had a better gyoza dumpling, not even in Japan. Delightful little joint. As it's only been open a couple of weeks, go now before the large crowds that are sure to come start causing long waits.
