A room was booked for 2 nights weeks before the business trip. When arriving at the hotel I got the message it was overbooked and they wanted to put me in an other hotel. I selected the hotel because this is next doors to the office, so I was not pleased with the message. For 220€ per night this cannot happen. I got another hotel in the end also in the area but not meeting the same standards. You don't play like this with your customers, this is really bad management.

Excellent price/performance and, for my purposes great location. Their breakfast buffet is quite completely, with only their big coffee maker being somewhat of an enigma.

We spent one night in this hotel cause of a delayed flight. We really find this hotel nice, clean and friendly with a very nice breakfast. Air conditioning was perfect and we had a good and quiet night over there.

The worst experience ever. Literally. I have never felt so disgusted by a hotel room. My flight got canceled so the airline booked a room in this hotel. They gave me a unique chance to have a shower in the bathroom with mold, be in the room with stinky fridge and on top of all of that there was hair on the bed sheets. Also the duvet cover wasn’t covering the duvet itself so I was lucky enough to find some more hair there. The staff was friendly enough to offer me another room and even made an effort to give a a room with a view. Well, it didn’t help. There was a bottle of water that was opened and used not by me. Again duvet not covered properly so I could see some stains on it. I had ask for spare bed sheets to use that instead of a duvet. And if that was not enough it was extremely dusty in the room. So I do not recommend you to stay here if you want to stay somewhere hygienic.

Very good place to stay for a city visit. Very close to airport, Metro, shopping malls, restaurants, etc. We had a perfect view onto Tejo and Expo areal. Wifi was not so good in our room. No pool in the hotel, which is ok.

Hotel is great and so is the staff, but the breakfast from 07:00 is a bit of a stretch for those who need to catch flights early in the morning. Too bad because I would have given 5 stars if the hotel provided early breakfast options or take-away breakfast.

Well located near the airport which we wanted in order to catch our red eye flight early in the morning. Spacious bedroom, amenities are great. One thing tho, do not book a Melia room (the cheapest) if you are a light sleeper like me. The bedroom is located on the railway of Oriente train station so you hear the trains passing by all day and at night! I wish I had Known this before booking and would have booked another type of room

Perfect quality accommodation and customer interaction, very close (200 meters) to Oriente bus, railway and subway stations. 1. Rooms: spotlessly clean. Excellent ammenities. Quiet rooms (8xx on 8th floor) and good sun reflective windows. Perfect room temperature. Only minor flaw: water drains painfully slow in the sink. Great quality linen and overall materials used in the room. Superb view ("partial-mini ocean view"). One free bottle of mineral water (not sparkling). 1.5 Wi-fi - worked perfectly but we are not bandwidth hogs. Vpn/work emails, some social media and regular websites. No streams, no giant uploads. 2. Breakfast: great quality, albeit limited selection, may be an issue if staying more than 3 nights (we stayed for two). Veggies were tasty (locally sourced?) And the coffee was abnormally good/strong - we enjoyed really decent expresso's despite not being regular coffee drinkers. 3. Minibar: reasonably well stocked. A bit pricey but we rarely raid it. Enough room to host a few mineral water bottles. 4. Elevators: despite reading about issues, we didn't encounter any malfunctioning elevators, no crowding, used them extensively at all hours, weekend and monday, all good. 5. Staff: very helpful, cordial, no nonsense or fake stuff. Everything was made clear and directions were received when asked for. No unnecessary blah-bla's. I'm sorry I can't remember the names of the two (obviously new) front desk staff and a couple of the breakfast staff.

I’m still here as a guest..but I can say, this is a very nice hotel. Very kind and polite staff, clean environment, nice breakfast…and as an extra, every day I got some local tasting surprise..chees, wine, fruits.. I really love this extra attentiveness. Thank you!🥂😎

Fab modern hotel walking distance to fantastic restaurants and the waterfront. Breakfast hostess (July 19) was an unpleasant individual … literally had a tantrum yelling at hotel guests who arrived at 7am to the restaurant before she did. Felt bad for her… but the food was outstanding in quality and variety.

As always good service and good employees. They were always ready to help me if I needed something. The room and most of the areas were clean, no problems whatsoever. The check in and check out were easy. Go for their website to find the best offers. The only complain the that I have was the breakfast time. Not enough employees there to keep that space organized and ready for the people to sit without having to wait too much time. I will still give them 5 stars, for their professionalism. Also, the hotel is really well located!

This hotel was amazing. The location was perfect for everything I needed to do, so close to the train station, close to Altice arena and many other places. Room service was great. The room itself was Amazing! Such a spacious room, massive bed, there is a one seat sofa in the room, a table and a couple of chairs and a big TV. The bathroom is spacious and the shower was really good. Amazing place

Modern hotel about a 5 minute walk from Lisbon Oriente train station which is a major metro and regional trains hub. Metro to airport is only 4 stops from Oriente. Easily accessible metro transit to other parts of Lisbon as well as trains to other cities like Porto. Also across the street from upscale mall Vasco Gama shopping centre with good food court and a huge modern supermarket Continente. The Targus River is also about a 5 minute walk away. Good clean rooms. I had an overnight stay here recently. My assigned room didn’t quite work for me and I was promptly given another room which was immaculate. Good service. Buffet breakfast included in the price. Good food variety - fruit cheeses cold cuts pastries coffees juices hot dishes. Also an omelette station. Many business people and air crew stay here. Overall good value hotel.

Great location close to the airport (12mn by tube) with great views if you are on the front side of the hotel and high enough. Service was easy and swift. We'll price positioned. It's in the Expo area so not walking distance from the centre but for business was very good.

Lovely hotel. The room was very warm, the bed big, the curtains thick and made the room very dark at night, which was very good. The bathrooms big and with all the amenities. We also had a mini fridge with lots of drinks and a coffee machine. The breakfast buffet was complete. You could find fruits, yogurt, different corn flakes, cheese, jam, salami, etc, different kind of eggs, sausages, champignons, bacon, beans, potatoes, all kinds of bread and pastries, etc, and lot of drinks. The location is wonderful! You have many lovely views of the sea and restaurants, it's close to the train/ bus station, so you can be in the city center in 20min.

The staff were so attentive, just lovely. Great location, 2 Euros to get the bus into the old town which was only 15 minutes away. Would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel! Good size room, comfortable bed and pillows, good quality towels, also good quality toiletries and lighting. I was there twice and both times had a room with a view. The breakfast offers a good variety of food and drinks, it’s worthy booking with it. The location is very good and easy to visit the center and other regions by public transport metro, train and bus.

hotel and rooms very n8ce however despite having a kettle and cups no tea or coffee provided I did query this with reception and was told rooms up until 8th floor only have kettle no tea or coffee. Very strange and disapointing

Not as good as the last time I have stayed here which was one month ago! I asked to change rooms and I was placed right by the elevator, new room had no coffee/milk and it took reception 1 and a half hours to bring some up to me, no robe, no towels and room service order had to be corrected twice. Really disappointed in comparison to last time I have stayed.

Nice and clean rooms located a bit outside the old town center. The rooms are spacious and the staff is nice. Across the street is a shopping mall and some restaurants. The quarter is modern and has many businesses around. Fairly close to the airport, around 15 minutes by car.

We booked this hotel very last minute as we were desperate for a good night's sleep after a terrible few nights in an old apartment. We were so pleased, it was exactly what we needed. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the blackout curtains were great. Mattress on the king size bed was quite firm, but the pillows were better than most you find in hotels. I had a great sleep. Shower and complementary toiletries were wonderful, and the towels were lovely and fluffy. Location is good if you specifically want to visit things in that area, but not as a base for tourist Lisbon stuff. It worked for us as it's closer to the airport and we were going to a comedy show there that night. The only downsides were 1) the bathroom door didn't close properly, 2) one of the elevators didn't seem to be working which led to a very long wait on the morning we needed to check out.

My fiancé and I were visiting from California and we had an exceptional experience here! The staff were so friendly and the rooms were very clean, comfortable and had many amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend booking this hotel for any stay in Lisbon!

rooms very good size and clean down side my room back on to the railway station so if you are a light sleeper ask for one to the front of the hotel

Very good Hotel. We had a great time there and were surprised how good the hotel was. They go the extra mile to make the client feel welcome and confortable. Great room, great view, great breakfast and very professional and atentive personal. Close to the train/bus station. Really not expensive for what we ended up getting. We wil absolutelly come back and stay longer if we can. We thank everyone at the Meliã Oriente for the great stay me and my family had.

Very poor wifi. When I say poor, I mean I had to use my mobile network hotspot to get any work done. I called the reception and complained but it never got fixed. The water pressure in the shower was also quite low. Overall I wouldn't recommend for the price.

-Stuff very rude and not helpful. -1st bottle of water in your room free, rest of day you have to pay! -Asked for a plug, 1st they say not our job then they asked me to bring the device to reception and they will decide what I need! -No ventilation in the bathroom. -Bed not comfobrtable. -Rooms are very old and have a small -Elevators were shut down, they assume that they put a paper next to it rather then putting a one on each room!! -They don’t refuel the room with the regular stuff unless you asked! ( trying to save money)

High floors offer nice river view with enjoyable sunrise spectacle in the morning. Clean, spacious rooms. Good breakfast. There's a restaurant and bar in the hotel. Reasonable pricing. Friendly staff. Conveniently located next to train station, shopping mall, river side. Very good for a business trip. The area is quite noisy (a lot of traffic), so don't expect a very quiet morning or night here.

It was my lay-over bed arranged by TAP for a missed connection. I had stayed here before as well for business. Location: next to the expo site, very close to the airport. The staff was very friendly The beds were good and clean, as well as the bathroom. And the breakfast was surprisingly good as well! Recommended if you need to be in this neighborhood!

The hotel is well located, modern, clean. We were upgraded to a bigger room than the one we had booked and overlooking the front on the 8th floor. The room was very comfortable, there was a brand new kettle with mugs but we had to ask for tea bags/coffee to be brought to our room, a minor point. WE found that the small glass coffee table was rather a dangerous addition to the decor when getting up during the night and we had to move it to a corner of the room. There is plenty of lighting in the room but as often with much switching complication from the bed and it always takes some practice to figure out what switches what from the bed! Breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty enough choice. The warm buffet is especially well thought, no need to wonder where to place the lids when you you have to get food on your plate and everything is well cooked. Apart from the welcoming guy at the entrance of the breakfast area that seemed to be bored to tears and rather uninterested, the other staff seemed pleasant enough. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel and certainly recommend it.

Two nights second week in May 2022. Excellent location 100m from the Oriente station with rail, metro and buses and easily found driving from Spain. Arrived earlier than expected at 1300hrs but check in was good and our room available ahead of time. Superior sea view was a good size room with OK bathroom all very clean BUT the sea view was mostly taken by the offices opposite, we were on the tenth floor [I had emailed for the highest floor possible] of 16. The windows needed a good clean too. Disappointing. Given how much time we actually spent in the room a basic room would have been fine in retrospect. Breakfast was disappointing too. Arriving at 0730 when the service began there were a few people present and we were ahead of the rush of mostly single guys going to a trade fair. The quality and selection of meats was poor. Few bread choices and placement a distance away from the toaster which was strange. On both mornings the cereal available consisted of three jars, cornflakes, chocolate somethings and muesli. The first two half full and the muesli two spoonfuls in the bottom both days. Someone had put the muesli out, twice, but not filled the jar. An attitude perhaps indicative of the lack of attention to detail or complacency. The Pastila de Nata were OK but when they ran out it was 20 minutes before they were renewed. The staff were great at clearing and sanitising table but maybe checking levels of food available not so great. We were visiting Lisbon and having a leisurely breakfast . Most were dashing in and out within 10 minutes but the quality should not reflect that surely. This is a four star hotel and compared to the same level Melia at Madrid airport it fell very short in this area. And beware the car park. Easy to find and once inside plenty of space but getting in requires a hairpin turn and our Freelander had inches of clearance on our last of 4 attempts. Disappointing, and would we would I stay again? Easy to find and excellent placement but attention to detail and breakfast, in my view, did not reflect the price, 4 star status or Melia brand. As an aside there are plenty of small cafes nearby including an excellent on first right out of the entry door. Maybe we'll stay in a basic room and eat breakfast next door in future.

Best service I have had in a very long time. Sara at reception was the most helpful and friendly customer service agent I have ever met. Truly went above and beyond. Will definitely stay here again!

Polite staff. Great room with great views of River Tagus. Good breakfast included with £72 room rate which is low for a 4* hotel. Great location very close to Vasco da Gama mall. 5 mins from airport. Will definitely stay there every time I go to Lisbon.

Finally - a King size bed after 2 weeks of traveling in Portugal! All previous hotels had 2 twin beds pushed together. The view from the room is beautiful! Being in the heart of the business district, not a lot of tourist things to do unless shopping at the mall is your jam.

The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, I think it was Fabio and another guy who’s name I can’t remember. I missed my connection flight out of Lisbon so they helped me book a room same-day. Definitely made the right call, the views were spectacular and the rooms were clean and sleek. Room service was also available late and received my dinner within 20 mins of calling. I would stay here again!

Nice rooms, shower is not built for tall people. There is a train station behind the hotel ADDED: housekeeping/roomservice has stolen my € 200,- electrical tooth brush and did not return.

Nice place to land once you’ve made it through the airport. Good location. Very comfortable. Good value. TIP: No luggage guy to haul big bags. Pack light.

Great hotel! High ceilings, lots of natural light , friendly staff, clean and modern amenities. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon who wants to stay outside of the old town (it’s a 25 minutes Uber/taxi ride).

Ideal location next to the Oriente transport hub, this helps with airport transfers (3 stops). Rooms well appointed with large TVs allowing connectivity from phones etc. Bathroom well equipped as well. Breakfast is buffet and well stocked over the morning rush.

We were placed in this hotel because of delayed flight. Great hotel. Rooms are specious and clean. Bed is confortable. They included dinner and breakfast and everything was tasty. We were on the seventh floor with great views.

  • 1/5 Go P. 1 year ago on Google
Bad customer service. Arrived early and asked if we could go somewhere in the hotel to rest, since the rooms weren’t ready. We were only allowed in the lobby, even-though they were told we were going to arrive early days priors to coming. Spent hours at the lobby and no help nor service from the hotel staff. Not coming back, no good treatment for its customers and no willingness to help its clients.

Very welcoming with large rooms. The biggest surprise was the food: breakfast was excellent but the evening menu was spectacular. Will be using this hotel for all my trips in the future.
