Staff was not helpful, rooms were noisy and location is a 15 min walk from anywhere. For this amazing city you are better off elsewhere. And if Madonna actually lived here I’d be surprised.

Charming boutique hotel w/ beautiful rooms and patios, the added terrace pool is also a great addition. That said breakfast was quite disappointing for a five-star w/ very limited choice, nearly nothing left for the late comers and also quite basic ingredients... the overall service by the staff was OK although not overwhelmed by sympathy. Last but not least for us, although we did indicate that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary they didn't welcome us in a more personalised manner .... First time it happens to us :-(

This hotel has friendly and helpful staff and offers a good breakfast in the morning. But our room was very dark and had a musty smell. It had no windows in the sleeping room, only a door to the hotel terrace, so other guests could look into our room. The terrace does not look well maintained. In total the rate for this room is overpriced. I would not recommend it to my friends.

Very relaxed, beautiful old building, tastefully renovated and run as a small hotel in a fab area of wine bars. We were in an attic room in the old house which still had 17th century tiles lining the walls and tons of character, although quite simple furnishings given the original layout. The atmosphere is more of an old house in which you're a guest, rather than a modern hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly if you need them, and there's no welcome desk or busy reception area. Entrance is via a very unassuming door to which you're given a code. We absolutely loved this setup and would recommend 100% for a relaxed, unique stay in the city. The room rate was exceptionally good and breakfast superb each morning. We'll be back!

What a stunning hotel. The communal areas are generous and very beautiful. Bedrooms are very comfortable with beautiful furniture. Very atmospheric - lots of candles lit every evening. While not obviously a child friendly hotel the staff could not have been more accommodating to my 4yo and 6 month old.

A beautiful boutique hotel with its own swimming pool. I found it relaxing, charming and peaceful with great views to the river from the pool. They have an amazingly helpful staff there that go beyond the necessary to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. I wouldn't hesitate in staying there again.

This place has had a totally remodel !!!! The general manager and staff were great. I had asked for some towels for the pool and they went right away and brought them to me. I said I could wait since it looked as if they were busy, their response was "guest come first, our paperwork can wait". The staff would state that we should treat the hotel as if it were our house and to feel comfortable and relaxed. We had breakfast every morning in the courtyard, it was so pleasant smelling the flowers and hearing the birds. The food was fresh and tasteful. The pool is not a lap pool, but more for relaxing with room for 7 guest to sit on lounge/recliners, so if the hotel is full ( 12 rooms ), there could be no room at the pool area. We didn't have that problem, mostly since a lot of the guest are gone during the day site seeing. We stayed in the OAK suite ( my wife our 22yrs daughter and myself ), had plenty of room. Don't worry about renting a car in Lisbon !!!! Taxi service is cheap and easy. We had read that parking is difficult in Lisbon, that is no joke, the closet parking could be a 10min walk. We had rented a car to visit Sintra for a couple of days then dropped it back off. The taxi drivers will try and tip themselves almost every time. For example, the fair was $5.75, I gave him $10, he looked at me as if I was being rude for wanting change back. This happened 7 out of 8 times. I had heard that I should plan on 1 maybe 2 days in Lisbon, not true. To really see and enjoy Lisbon, I would plan on 3-4 days and then drive up the coast which is very pretty. Would I stay here again? Yes Hope this helps other !!! Enjoy

This is such a little gem. Very classic Portuguese colonial style. Intricate hallways and a great sense of detail. Probably the best breakfast I’ve had in any hotel, ever. Only complaint would be that there are a few things I normally expect from a 5-star hotel, like a gym for example. But all in all it was a fantastic stay, and I’m definitely coming back!

An amazing experience. The old palace breaths of history and class. If you are looking for modern perfection and elevators don’t go here. But if you appreciate living authentic in a palace that feels just like when the last royal member moved out (just 12 years ago) then this is it! The service is first class and I had a drink in one of the outdoor gardens after a full day in our Lisbon office and it was the perfect stress relief. You will not have to battle other guests at a breakfast buffet. Instead you are seated and waited upon by a first class staff member. I will be back.

Absolutely stunning hotel full of thoughtful touches. The team there were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were some of the most beautiful and unique that I have ever seen. We strongly recommend staying there and would absolutely love to return there in the future!

Miguel and the team made extra effort to make us feel welcome, comfortable and looked after us brilliantly! Near the cool clubs and trendy areas of town. About 15 mins walk into main tourist area. Great decor with original tiles and features with bags of Portguese character

A delightful gem hidden away from the main tourist traps of Lisbon. It's an old town house well converted into a hotel.

The hotel is comfortable and beautiful; the staff are friendly; the service excellent. It’s a lovely haven from the heat and busyness of Lisbon

Great stay! We chose the Palacio Ramalhete for our honeymoon, it was really the perfect choice. The place is very romantic. The courtyards with plants and flowers are beautiful. The building has a lot of character. The staff is exceptional. Also the location is perfect! This is our favorite neighborhood in Lisbon. We will keep a great memory of our honeymoon. Thank you so much! Cali and Kyrie

Spent four sumptuous nights at this elegant discreet and luxurious hotel. This is not a corporate 5 star type hotel. The staff is charming and helpful but not overbearing. It feels more like a personal home but with all the amenities of a hotel. A true oasis in bustling Lisbon. I’ll definitely be back. Obrigado.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Lisbon, it has the location, the authenticity, the staff is out of this world. Just the palace you always dream staying in

We didn't had the chance to visit this hotel as they did cancelled unilateraly our reservation without explanations. This is quite disappointing and disrespectful :( !!

Absolutely amazing - a perfect vibe and location and incredibly friendly staff. It perfectly captured the old-world guesthouse atmosphere in the best way possible. This was the more expensive option my girlfriend and I considered for our holiday but we were both absolutely convinced it was worth it - not least for all the extra freebies (and delicious enormous breakfast!) that came along with our room.
