Enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly. Hotel in a great location & very clean. Minor issues - not enough hangers. We were 3 women in a triple room & could have done with another half a dozen. Breakfast was great - good choice, food freshly made, including fresh fruit. Seemed a bit mean to look for another 50 cent to have a cappuccino instead of a standard coffee. These were minor points though - would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location near the subway and various bus stops. The hotel is clean, comfortable and has everything that's necessary. Very nice and helpful staff! Tasty breakfast. Very good price-quality relation. Our room's window was overlooking a street with a bit loud night activity - it wasn't a problem for us, but it might be an issue for some.

Clean rooms albeit a little small, nice breakfast and very good location. A little pricey for the package but a good enough deal. Would return.

We loved the staff - so warm and inviting. We loved our chats and the genuine engagement we encountered. Your family run establishment is wonderful. Location was great- we could walk to most places from the hotel. It is also close to the tram stops we used most as well as two metro stations. Breakfast has many selections, including options for vegetarians. Our room was spacious and the air conditioning was most welcome in a hot Lisbon summer.

Excellent value hotel. Sheets are clean, rooms are cozy and bathrooms more spacious than other pricier options. Fabulous location in the heart of city and close to all of the touristy places. Breakfast is sufficient and included in the daily rate. It's a family run hotel so everyone in the staff are super responsive and attentive. If you need suggestions on things to do, eat or see, ask the staff. Highly recommend to anyone budget conscious. If I went back to visit Lisbon again, I would almost certainly come back here.

The location was great, very close to the market and generally to all the areas we wanted to visit by foot. Also, next to many metro & bus stations, which was really helpful so as to move easily and quickly. There were no noise at night, we had a nice sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a big variety. We enjoyed our stay, we reccomed it.

Customer feedback to improve Rates that are equal or greater than 3 and 4 star hotels yet it’s clear that it states it’s a 2 star hotel No offer of tea or coffee throughout my stay which typically is standard Smoke filled front balconies as the hotel and restaurant across the street has smokers and loud noise Staff had an open cut clearly visible on their nose which common sense would indicate is unhygienic and unhealthy when you deal with the public in a hotel. When you ask if there is any available hot water or ice etc rather than being offered upon check in. When you do ask for hot water and ice; a man with a gash on his nose brings it and you wonder if your health endangered by dripping blood or him touching his open sore then your cup, ice or hot water pitcher; it would be clear to use a bandage to maintain guest safety and hotel standards of appearance. Guests should not have ask for common sense health safety and make them address it after my critique so they addressed the issue. Having to ask for all basic quality standards instead of being serviced. I asked for my room to be made and they didn’t change the sheets or clean the sink. Rude housekeeping who has a bad customer service attitude when asked for basics like toilet paper. A tip if the guest stays over a week they need more than one roll. Small beds that felt smaller than twin size as it’s against a wall so you bang your body on it while tossing and turning during sleep. Staff stares at you while eating and taking breakfast which is very rude and common sense.

Amazing location. Breakfast included with variety of options to choose from. Clean and cozy. Walking distance to the metro, cafés and restaurants. Very friendly staff. I want to thank Sadiq and Hussein for making our stay so comfortable.

Great hotel in the centre of the city. Staff is very helpful and kind. Service is super, lot of small tiny details that means a lot, early luggage drop-off, nice breakfast to name a few. Great communication on english language.

Location and staff were great, it’s a family run operation. I had a twin bed room, so space was on the smallish side for rate yet location was more important. A few things would help to make it a 5 star review: Put safes in rooms (I forget when having a hotel hold items for me!) More hooks or towel racks in narrow bathroom (greater functionality near pedestal sink) More diverse breakfast options, very carb/sweets heavy and ensure customers know eggs could be ordered for breakfast (I only learned day before my departure seeing another person order) Add an electric kettle in room so people can make tea or coffee outside of breakfast hours

Amazing stay at Hotel Portuense. The staff is welcoming and deeply into helping you to have the best stay possible. The room is very cosy and really efficient. Location is obviously a strength as it is really near everything you shall need to visit Lisboa. Breakfast is only in a small area but it has everything you need to get a good breakfast. Someone is always here to reach out in case you need anything. We wanted to thank everyone in the staff for making the stay amazing, for the information and advice. We would surely come back and at this hotel if we ever come back to Lisboa and I highly recommend you to do the same.

Fabulous stay in the best location near everything within walking distance! The view from the Sunday was spectacular the room was clean and enough for our needs the breakfast was varies and optimal. Parking was always available and right next to hotel entrance. Quiet overall. You’ll want to stay here again.

I really loved this place. I moved there from another hotel and it was a total game changer for my staying in Lisbon. Located in a pure center, very safe area. The hotel was clean and nice. Also nice breakfast. I could come back there again.

We chose this hotel for our city trip to Lisbon. It is very centrally located, you can reach everything you want to see within 15 minutes walk, metro stations, bus stops and train station are only 3 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel is "only" a two star hotel, but it could quietly have one more. It is extremely clean, the breakfast is delicious and sufficient and the staff is super super friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a real secret tip. All in all I would come back anytime and recommend the hotel to anyone!!!

The staff is warm, welcoming and humorous. The location is in the heart of the city. The price is very sympathetic. The environment is so charming. This is my11th time at Hotel Portuense. It's always good to come to there and always sad to leave.

Since 2005 or so I visit Portuense almost very year, and they never let me down. The staff is full of hospitality and friendship. And so many other things, too many too mention is nice about the place.

The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance of local attractions and tram/bus stops. Room and bathroom were simple but spotless with comfortable beds, our room had lovely Juliette balcony and was very well soundproofed from the street outside. It is a family ran hotel and the owners were incredibly welcoming and kind. Anything we needed they were more than happy to help with and they have a 24/hr desk service. Great breakfast selection and all brought out to you (although this may be a COVID adaptation). Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again! :)

Portuense has an amazing location, close to city center, the area is nice and there are lots to do around the hotel. The staff is amazing, kind people that makes Portuense be different from others hotels. I was feeling like I was in my family’s house, I felt safe and comfortable there. The room and bathroom was cleaned everyday, also the towels were changed daily, the bed was comfy and everything was great, honestly. I super recommend this hotel.

The room was great, nice balcony with sound proof windows, everything perfectly clean, the host are giving this hotel a 5 stars feeling. The breakfast was not self service, due to the Covid restrictions, but we still got everything we needed or even more and all this with a smile on a face (yes, we saw the smile even if the hosts were wearing their masks). Location is perfect.

The location is perfect and the room and bathroom we're very clean. The room is not big (but big enough while you don't spend much time in it anyway) and the breakfast wasn't divers. A good thing is that they hand out breakfast to your and your companion and don't have a buffet style breakfast during these times with covid. Coffee/tea, a juice box, some slices of toast and brioche style croissants with ham, cheese, jams and butter are provided and you can also get some yoghurt with cereals and/or eggs if you'd like. They can and will clean your room every day if you want them to.

Beautiful room, super comfortable bed, and spacious bathroom. Location can't get any better, close to everything. Breakfast was also excellent, and all people working there make you feel welcome. We had to check out early and the night receptionist called us to make sure we wouldn't miss the flight. Everything was perfect for us and next time in Lisbon I will love to stay at this hotel again without a doubt!

This hotel is the full package. A perfect location on a flat part of Lisbon, it is beautifully clean with gorgeous hard wood floors in the bedrooms, the high pressure showers are like being at home. The staff are incredible with a great sense of humor. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Thank you.

The single room is small and basic but was exceptionally clean. The staff is attentive, breakfast is sufficient. I have arrived very late around 2am. Although, the gentleman at the desk did not speak English, he was very helpful and efficient. The area, where the hotel is located, is central, safe and clean.

This was my first experience staying in a hostel and it far exceeded my expectations! I was very impressed by the meticulous care the family who run the hostel apply to all aspects of a guest's experience: they are friendly, responsive, helpful and genuinely happy to host their patrons. The rooms and shared spaces are well appointed and very clean. The location allows for quiet evenings but it is still close to sites and activity.

Just a lovely hotel. Hussein at the front desk was very helpful and funny. It’s in a great location on a quieter street. Walking distance from everything you need. The AC is a total plus and the breakfast was delicious. Best fried egg I’ve seen in a while.

Nice clean, basic hotel with the bonus of breakfast included. Very nice family managing the hotel, with friendly hard working staff. The front desk staff were always helpful, patient, and responsive - I mentioned the shower was draining slowly and it was addressed quickly. I booked into a single - the room was not as 'up to date' as the photos on the website, but it adequate and comfortable. Also, the hotel has an elevator. I felt lucky to have found this hotel - it is in a very central location close to Metro and Rossi train station, as well is within walking distance of the sites and easy walk to the waterfront. The cost was good - affordable.
