This hostel is one of a kind in Lisbon area, with a great option to spend the afternoon away from the crowdy beaches. If you just visit the hostel, it cost 5€ to get acces to all the facilities (swimming pool, garden, tables, bar, etc) and you can use that credit to eat and drink something healthy and homemade! Perfect for families, solo travelers, friends and greenlovers, the atmosphere is really friendly and warm. There are a lots of ways to have an impact while participating in dedicated weeks programs while staying at the hostel (submarine protection, coastal practices prevention, etc). For one afternoon, or a week, this place is truly unique!

Comment is only for co working, restaurant and pool. Pool is really good for families, atmosphere is also great. Location is awesome, very close to Belem. BUT One thing (and most important thing is) restaurant is super bad. Only vegetarian food there are. No coca cola, no “unhealthy” foods there are. It’s not acceptable for me. Also they not allow the bolt/uber orders. I went to outside and found a place to eat meat and came back to the pool again. Please fix only this!

Stayed here during corona times and after, in that time the price doubled and the cleanliness halved. Couches are filthy, bathrooms dirty even with daily cleaning, no upgrades on facilities in over a year so lots of damaged and broken stuff, pool is of questionable cleanliness. Not really the place's fault but the second time around there were a lot of weird people lurking around, people touching all the breakfast food and putting it back, kids screaming in the pool all day long - they sell pool time during the day so everyone and their dog shows up to swim and make noise. Overall the place really has gone downhill.

Fake aminities, Small rooms with 8 persons around 10x10 feet room with four bunk beds. On the name of charity I don't think so what they are promoting as well. Expensive fooding 10euro diet for lunch or dinner. Market is far from this place so people are bound to eat here. Personally I didn't like it at

Impact House is an incredibly welcoming refuge near Belém where sustainability meets hospitality. It really feels like you're part of a movement of changemakers when you stay there for the night, exchange clothes and books, donate things to people that need most, partake in the delicious Veggie Fridays or even drink their fair trade coffee in the garden overlooking the pool or try their zero waste delicacies. And the staff is just as amazing: kind and purpose-driven. It really is a special place, feels very home-like.

Amazing food, and absolutely loved the pool!!! Staff were really friendly, and made me feel so welcomed. Definitely recommend for staying in Lisbon, the local knowledge is great and it’s a really beautiful walk from the hostel down to Belem. Lovely staff, lovely stay, definitely coming back!

Tried the pool and lunch offer. Really good. I love the pool and their food is healthy but delicious and you feel like it is home made. You get soup, main dish (sometimes if there are two options, you can have a mix of both), and a fruit or a dessert. Last time for dessert i got the chocolate mousse and it was surprisingly the best chocolate mousse ever!!! You also get coffee and water (or lemonade if you prefer). Can't wait to get back and enjoy the pool in those hot lisbon summer days.

What a great experience, such a nice staff and wonderful place. Croissant was a bit tiny for the price and it tasted fine. Bathroom was clean and usable, mattress was comfortable, but one thing I miss in the room was some blinds for the window, at 6 am the sun starts shinning and the room becomes super bright.

Clean bed, nice facilities with a big pool. The rooms are a little cramped in size but the communal areas are large so it’s all good. The staff were all very friendly. Arrived on Saturday and there was a Samba band playing outside. Food was nice and decent prices. The theming of the hostel is a little strange and not obvious but other than that it’s good.

Very friendly local staff, main focus in this place is sustainability. The accommodation (bed, shower) is you get what you pay for... Mentioning this because of the other reviews: they are renovating the pool area and grass so I am sure it will look amazing in a few days/weeks. The food is not cheap indeed, but it is zero waste and could receive stars from a masterchef. Amazing taste. Good work you all and thank you for helping me when I almost found myself stranded during the busy Easter period.

A nightmare. My partner and I stayed in June 2023. We have never found such a dirty hotel. We found cockroaches throughout the entire hotel. The bathroom in our room was shared and was extremely dirty. The hygienic conditions are lacking to be able to define this structure as accessible to the public. The location is not convenient: it is located on the edge of the city and is not served. Furthermore, it is a truly noisy and dangerous area.

A old luxury house from the fifties (not renovated) in Algés not Belém (30min on foot). A lot of volunteers working so the housecleaning is very bad! Breakfast is basic and always a cue due to the (a lot) volunteers. Swimming pool open for day tourists, about 50 to 70 people every day, who has access to the same space like you!Don’t forget to lock your things away. This is not a sustainable place on the Just to get hot water takes like 10min. Downstairs the Wi-Fi is very bad but the room has a ventilator and 1 bathroom for 6 people. Upstairs 1 bathroom for 12 people and you don’t get a ventilator but you have Wi-Fi. So you choose. Place is not what you expect!

I wouldn't recommend this Hostel to a friend. Breakfast included was horrible. The eggs were bad, dried bread and the ham almost expired. It felt like a ghost Hostel. Staff were unbothered and felt not welcoming. They had a pool which was completely dirty. Bathroom was at least clean but just one for a 16bed dorm. Luckily I was alone in the room because my locker lock didn't work. Anyone could come in and get my stuff. Sadly disappointed

Best day ever spent by the poolside of this lovely hostel. Had a full day after checking out before our flight home and couldn’t have chosen a better place to spend it. €22 for a 3 course lunch and a pool is great. The staff were lovely and the pool area is extremely nice. Would live there if I could

A pleasant space, friendly staff, we only enjoyed the pool, I found it very clean, the pH was worth reviewing, clean toilets, difficult parking. House with ecological ideas. If they maintain the price, a place I recommend

What a lovely hostel! Super friendly staff. The rooms, bathrooms, and common spaces (dining, outside area) were all very clean. The free breakfast was good, but the €10 dinner was what really brought it home; absolutely delicious and a very generous portion of food. It's in a nice location, and the garden with pool was wonderful. Would absolutely stay here again if I get the chance.

Great staff! Great meals - free breakfast and all you can eat dinner for 10€. We had a private room for 4. Super clean, huge bathroom, great!

Super friendly staff and great atmosphere! I loved hanging by the pool and meeting new people. It was also within walking distance of a Mcdonald's. I would highly recommend this place for travelers seeking a more immersive and interactive experience.

I stayed 12 days. It was a great place. Down stairs all open plan, chill area, massive outdoor grassed area and excellent swimming pool. Like a small oasis of green. Really not like your average hostel. Upstairs more like the usual- dorms. All ok and clean- the bathroom was not super clean- but all considered with 12 guys using it can be forgiven. Breakfast was good, and lunches and dinner for €10. Basic but still very good and healthy. This is the opposite of you average self catering so no use of fridge ( for some beers for example ) so in this regard it’s a bit expensive as all drinks, beers and everything else has to be purchased from the hostel. Still all considered I had a very comfortable stay and for the price and location it’s very fair. I gave a €20 tip ( being there that long! ) the only thing I would say is the staff are very friendly, and mostly speak English and are very helpful- but they do on occasions seem to be having to do 5 jobs at the same time, when it’s busy, getting pulled in all directions.. it’s was very popular when I was there and seemed fully booked, so obviously not a problem with custom. All the best to the staff and thx for a nice stay.

My first hostel experience and it honestly could not have been more pleasant. The hostel is very chill, the staff is super friendly, and the swimmingpool is so good. The bathrooms could use an update, but were kept pretty clean! Would definitely stay here again.

We traveled for more than 2 hours and did not know that we need to reserve for the pool. Nothing with service our understanding. 🤬 impact but social?

The hostel is a lovely corner in Lisbon, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere, a super welcoming staff and a strong sustainability mission accomplished with a few initiatives around the house. The food is simply incredible and many veggie options. Totally recomend it!!!

Great food, amazing staff and sustainable! I stayed there initially for 5 days due to a training course but I stayed for three more days there because of the great food, great staff and its sustainability. The food is great in terms of having normal, vegan and mixed options, as well as having delicious taste in general. There is also soup and dessert along with it, and the portion sizes are good. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. The service was just great. I think that this place is also really good because of its mission of sustainability and circularity. There is book sharing, cigarette waste containers where mushrooms eat the waste, sold zero-waste items, etc. It is one-of-a-kind experience. One note however is that the bunk bed can be quite squeaky and several movements can make the bed move so perhaps take the lower bunk. Also, the location of the hostel is far from the city center if you take public transport. It is better to take an Uber going and leaving the place to the city center.
