Hotel

šŸ«¤ The first thing that happened on our arrival was them trying to rip us off. We had booked a specific room from the pictures on the booking site, but they took us to a completely different room, a single instead of a double, dirty with cracks in the walls and ceiling, a small bed and next to no stora... People often mention room, clean, hostel, great, staff, private, nice, location, kitchen, friendly,

NO Heart Hostel should be the name of this place. The level of dishonesty of the person running this business is unbelievable. I don't know what makes me more mad: the fact that they have ignored all of my emails / calls, the fact they lied straight to my friend's face or the fact that they stole my money. Their behavior is unacceptable and very unprofessional. If you care about the people & the values behind the businesses you are giving your money to, feel free to read the details of my story: I booked this hostel via Booking.com for a 25 days stay so I could join a training program based in Lisbon. Unfortunately, I got tested positive to COVID 1.5 days before flying which meant that I couldn't take my flight. I requested to cancel my reservation on Booking (as I had to switch from in-person training to online training). Booking replied to me saying they were going to ask the hostel if I could get a refund since my reservation was non-refundable. Note aside: I tried to cancel the reservation the same day (exactly 5 hours after) after booking (which was 2 days before the first night there). I received an email saying that the hostel refused to give me a full or a partial refund. I immediately called the hostel but they said they couldn't help because a manager was needed so I should call back on Monday. I emailed them then, and over the weekend, explaining that the situation was COVID related, unfortunate and out of my control. I called them that Monday several times but no one picked up. I emailed them again for the next few days but I never received an answer. A friend who lives in Lisbon went in person to chat with them and they lied to his face saying it was Booking's fault and they couldn't do anything. I have been in a similar situation and the business fully refunded me so I know for a fact that they are lying. We are talking about almost a full month reservation here, it's not an amount of money I can afford to lose. To the owner : if you decide to reply to this review, I would appreciate if you could reply to my many emails first. That's the least you can do.

The location was great, the room was really big and spacious but the bed was one of the worst beds I have ever slept in in my life. Really rickety, we were afraid it would fall apart if we moved too much. A futon would have been better.

We paid for a private room and it was perfect. Cozy with windows and a fan. The amenities are great, fun kitchen environment & super friendly staff! They let us store our luggage after check out which was extremely helpful. Favorite Hostel Iā€™ve stayed at.

Great spot for a single traveller. Mainly just a place to catch some sleep, as I was out during the days and evenings. Basic private room, well priced, with at least a small private balcony for fresh air made it feel a little more luxurious, however all very clean and shared bathroom wasnā€™t an issue as you could simply use one of two on the same floor or use one on a different floor. Desk staff were friendly and accommodating, and allowed me a late check-in as my flight was delayed and also allowed me to store my luggage for the day once Iā€™d checked out.

Unfortunately we booked that hostel for 4 nights and it hasn't been a pleasure to stay there. No air-conditioning in the room at all šŸ™ˆ so it was unbelievable hot at night.... You couldn't let the windows open because right under the hostel is a Bar and pizza place which is really loud at night.... So either way you sleep wit a lot of noise or like in a sauna .

We stayed in a private room for the first few days then a dorm. The private rooms are in a different building to the dorms and the facilities are much better. The bathrooms are super clean and roomy. Everything was great except that the hostel is directly above a pub which gets rowdy at night. It's difficult to sleep with people yelling and music til 3am. Also, the walls are super thin in the whole hostel so you can hear whenever anyone does or says anything. The dorm building is similarly loud due to the pub and thin walls. The showers and toilets at the dorm are much worse, filled with mould and cramped. There are no mirrors in the toilets which means you have to go to one of the limited showers to do skincare/makeup etc. What annoyed us the most was the kitchen being closed between 7:30-830am, ie the time when most people have breakfast. We were not informed of this by the staff so we were unable to have breakfast on our last morning due to needing to catch a bus.

Hostel was very nice and clean. We had a private room with a shared bathroom. Despite having shared bathrooms, we never had an issue and the bathrooms were very clean and others respectful of the time they took within the bathroom. Bed is very big, a little firm, but nothing that inhibits our sleep. Be wary that they have two buildings, the non main building was directly beside a bar, and naturally there was noise up until 12/1 am. The location is great , around some restaurants, a laundromat, and some small convenience stores. Overall, we had a great time, noise can be an issue, but just the location, nothing in regard to the fault of the hostel

If you're looking for a nice private room in a clean and quiet neighborhood, then this is great. If you're looking to make friends and be in a vibrant environment, then there are better places. The hostel is in the posh bit of Lisbon, which is nice because it feels safe and it is quiet. Our room was very spacious (private double room with balcony), we loved our room. The wooden blinds and the floor and the balcony were amazing! Some decorations would have been nice. There is no cosy communal space where you can read a book and relax so be aware of that. There is just the kitchen but it's loud when people are preparing their food/drink. The kitchen is also quite inaccessible in the morning. The sign says it's closed between 7.30 (I think) until 8.15am but I went down two mornings in a row at 8.30 and the cleaner was still mopping the floor and I couldn't get a coffee! At 8.30?? The walk to the city centre is about 20 minutes. This hostel doesn't really have the hostel vibe, feels more like a hotel. Which was fine for us! Kitchen has complimentary coffee and tea.

I had a great stay here for three days. The location is ideal, safe and with lots of cafes and restaurants. It's also very easy to get to the centre on foot or via public transport. Our balcony was sweet and as a part time digital nomad, the wifi worked great for my zoom meetings which is always important and a concern before arriving. I was in their second building and the kitchen was empty most of the time so I set up there with no problems and a lovely cross breeze. I will keep this hostel in mind for my next visit to Lisbon.

All in all we liked the hostel a lot. Considering the low price, we were really happy here. Free (and good!) coffee. Clean, not too noisy, except for the lower floor. Might be tough in summer though as the rooms have no air condition.

I spend a week in mixed dorm room. Double dorms had nice curtains so it almoat felt that I had a private room. Atmosphere was relaxed, easy - going and hostel was clean all the time. Prettiest part was the "green wall" in reception and big windows in shared spacešŸ˜ In the kitchen there was a free coffee machine, with several different options of coffee Staff were nice and humoristic. Overall, nice experience , I felt safe relxed and welcommed entire time I spend in Green Hostel. I would recommend to everyone, and btw good location close to city center and public transportation. šŸ™‚

extremely uncomfortable beds and pillows, I requested for another pillow and they dissmiss me, the lock of the shared shower did not worked properly. It's an old building with a bad isolation and no heating at all. We could hear every step in the halfway and all the prople screaming on the bars down on the street.

I enjoyed my stay at hostel green heart. I booked 2 nights before arriving and unfortunately missed a connection due to a delayed flight, thus only stayed 1 full night here. Despite not being able to get refunded, we were allowed early check in as our room was already ready from the previous day. The private room we stayed in was small but big enough for me and my partner with our two bikes, and had a tiny balcony with a view to the street! Loved it. The communal shower and kitchen rooms were well decorated and very clean. Miguel was super accommodating in letting us leave our luggage for a fee as we biked to the southern coast of Portugal. The experience we had here granted us a very good first impression of the country and I would stay here again. After reading reviews I was expecting some noise at night, so I brought ear plugs with me but luckily the live music stopped right around 11pm when we were going to bed.

The staff are helpful, Location is good close to almost everything You have free coffe tea latte .... *Sooome people make noise at night ) in the room, don't care, no respect. *Sooome boys are really dirty (pee + hair on the toilet) they don't clean *##### This is the really issue in most hostels.

If you are looking for a place to sleep, then you are at the wrong place. Even if we had an individual room the walls were so thin we could clearly hear the conversation of the girls from the room next to us. In the same way as if they were sitting on our bed and talking. Then the doors slamming the morning and the night was particularly annoying. The bed is a challenge too for your sleep. When my partner was moving or turning, it was like a earthquake. In a positive way, the bathroom is clean and the bed sheets are super soft. Finally, this place is absolutely not worth it for the money spent.

Stayed in a private double room. Very pleased with my experience. Overall this hostel is a great spot for the price, especially for the private rooms. The only downsides to this place are the paper thin walls where you can hear everything on your floor, and the shared bathrooms that always have water on the floors from people showering, would be nice if they cleaned/dried the bathroom floors a couple times each day. But these are minor issues, overall I would recommend this place if youā€™re trying to find a well priced private room. Great location too!

Great rooms and service. In a quieter Street perfect for rest. There is a hospital opposite the hostel so be prepared for some noise however in my 2 days It was quiet. Natasha will give great recommendations of Portugal! The staff were very hospitable!

Overall, a pretty great stay... the room was very cute, with a private balcony, and the shared bathrooms were very clean. The bed was a little too firm but a great size for 2. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with info and recommendations! Just keep in mind that you're in Portugal and climbing ALL the stairs is something you will do. Good price for a good location.

The Staff is very friendly. The beds are comfy. We could leave our luggage for a couple of hours when we checked out. The hostel is very central and has an elevator. The only issue was that we were two and we had only one towel for the 4 nights we stayed there. After two days I asked the staff for a towel and they said they were waiting for towels and still in that day they would leave a towel in our room but it didnā€˜t happened. Otherwise was everything good.

Absolutely brilliant!!! Great value for money. Booked a single room with shared facilities- the room was clean, with a very comfortable double bed. Just what you need when you are out all day visiting the city- hot shower and a comfy bed. The team was kinds and friendly. Well done, thank you! Alex

Coffee machine is only switched on for a few hours in the morning. Double room was quite small and it was a challenge to move around. Minimal space around bed. There were only 2 sockets in the room so you had to chose between using the bedside light, charging your phone or using the fan. There were only 2 bathrooms per floor - we had to wait for a bathroom most of the time when we wanted to use it.

We stayed for 2 nights and the staff were amazing and very friendly. The rooms were nice, and the kitchen was nice and well stocked with whatever you needed to cook a meal. Location was great for wandering around the central area of Lisbon. Overall, highly recommend!

Good hostel and friendly staff. Internet worked well. Loved the room and balcony. Bathrooms always clean. Location was good! Good little bonus with the coffee machine next door. We would return.

Friendly staff in a great location which was clean. However, the hostel is very noisy, you can hear everyone moving around at night. Our room was next to the toilet which woke us up every time someone got up to take a pee. The place really needs some carpet to absorb the noise from the hallway and staircase. Underneath is a loud pub with music until late. If you keep the windows closed, you will sweat. Either way, prepare not to get much sleep. Weirdly, the kitchen is closed between 8-8.30, which is when most people want to get breakfast. If you get up earlier, the coffee machine will be off, bins will be full, and dishes will all have been used. A very poor system Iā€™d give this place 2 stars, but the staff were very friendly and the location was great

The first thing that happened on our arrival was them trying to rip us off. We had booked a specific room from the pictures on the booking site, but they took us to a completely different room, a single instead of a double, dirty with cracks in the walls and ceiling, a small bed and next to no storage whatsoever. When we went to complain they tried to claim we were in the wrong. Eventually they admitted that they no longer had access to the room we had selected, and gave us a bigger, cleaner room than the first with a bigger bed and with a window to the "yard", as selected. Thin walls, you hear everything everyone does. The toilets were pretty clean and the bed was very comfortable. As long as they don't rip you off, you'll get what you pay for.

The staff itā€™s great! Shout out to Tuba who help me clean my shoes for my interview!! The bathrooms were clean, the share room has cabins for each one so you get some privacy which itā€™s great! The kitchen has good utensils and a coffe machine. Itā€™s close to the subway and Marques de Pompal with many bus stops, overall great location!
