If you're still considering going to this club (out of the dozens of others in Lisboa) after reading the reviews I don't know what to tell you. Maintaining an artificially-long line to make the place seem popular, just to turn most people away, is how they stay relevant. If they wanted to have a locals-only venue, they could do it *easily* without discriminating.

It was a weird experience to begin with… in front of us, two guys tried to get in and were asked if they’d made a reservation to which they replied “no”. So the bouncer told them to leave. When it was our turn (my husband and I) they happily allowed us in. I didn’t understand it much but now reading the reviews it seems like they have a weird “logic” to allow people in. Anyway, music was good and the crowd was nice, but the bartenders and security inside were pretty arrogant. Something that upset me the most was an interaction that I had with one of the 1st floor’s male bartenders. I asked him if there was a name for “vodka lime soda” in Portuguese and he said, “Aren’t you Portuguese?” to which I replied, “No, I’m Brazilian”. So he said, “So you are telling me that you don’t know how to speak your own language?” He added that I was trying to be too international. I said that no, he’d misunderstood me, I was just trying to find out if they had a name for this drink in Portugal since the Brazilian and Portuguese vocabs are so different. He continued giving me attitude. I found his responses shockingly rude and very unnecessary specially because it was such a harmless question. I honestly was just trying to see if there was one specific name for “vodka lime soda” in Portugal because there isn’t one in Brazil. Also, it’s my first time here and it’s our honeymoon, so I’m still getting used to their accent and vocab. Anyway, it was pretty hurtful to hear what I heard. That kept a bitter taste in my mouth and I wouldn’t go back or recommend this place to a foreigner. But considering the amount of bad reviews they received, another one won’t bother them at all… I don’t want to believe most Lisbon people are as rude as this bartender but this interaction tarnished what was supposed to be a happy honeymoon time.

Writing a review about this venue(even giving one star) and it's staff is being hella generous. This place is so confusing to be judged by bouncers who don't even have 300e themselves to get into the club. How the hell does a venue even charge 300e(obviously not the price) when there is a growing homeless shelter right next to the entrance and look awfully alike the bouncers at the door? I would highly recommend to switch your options if you are visiting from a different country because the inside does not compare to your local club in neighboring Spain. If you do get in, Be prepared to wait longer than an hour for drinks. Overall, this venue's staff and doorman need much more practice on how to run the basics for a club. As a native New Yorker, We are over 20x the population of Lisbon and trashy bars could still grant you the time of your life. Please consider this review a favor to visiting tourists. Spend your money somewhere else.

We went for a hen do (6 girls) and we were told at the door by 4 bouncers (they all gathered in front of us blocking the entrance to face the threat) we needed to be on the guest list or be club members to enter. Other people walked in just fine, I didn't see anyone checking a "guest list" first and we waited by the door long enough to verify other tourists were going in just fine and I don't think they would have become members beforehand. I can't understand how they survive driving customers away and creating such bad reputation. It was recommended to us by almost every Portuguese person we met, how come nobody knew it was that exclusive? I'll be posting on every page I know, this is utterly unprofessional and discriminatory and we will be taking it further.

House/techno fans — ignore the negative reviews on here. This is just a normal (albeit very good) dance music club. If you just dress and act normally and don't turn up drunk you'll be fine. Me and my friend (male Australians) got in fine speaking English, were charged normal entry and all the staff were really nice and polite. Also the club floor downstairs is unreal with a really knowledgable crowd and the terrace is incredibly beautiful. Just ignore all these party boy, bottle service frat boy reviews and have fun!!

Just don't give any attention to this club. They still have their doors open because people refuse to ignore them. I'm a local and have attended the club for at least 6 years. Until they refused my entry for no apparent reason. I'm a Techno fan, didn't look high, didn't even have a glass of alcohol prior to trying to get in. There are better clubs in Lisbon with genuine Techno music and more professional staff. Like I said, just don't bother going there. It's a shame for the artists who play there, but whatever.

The bouncers pushed the limits of human rudeness. We walk up, bouncer says “You need to be on guestlist or know the manager.” We explain we are Americans, there is no way we would personally know the manager to invite us. We are respectful the whole time, we are dressed well, there is nothing wrong with us. One of us had girls waiting for us inside. She comes out, basically says “I was never invited and I just walked in!” They were shocked, they didn’t believe we actually had someone inside to back us up. And this whole time girls were walking in for free. “It must be a mistake” they said. They just had a script they stuck to, no matter how bad the logic was. This whole time they were letting in girls. Finally, one of bouncers is annoyed enough to say “It’s becuase you’re American.” Okay, the truth finally comes out. Do not waste your time at this club.

Don't bother with this dump if you're visiting Lisbon. Their ultra restrictive, arbitrary door policy means that you'll just waste time and money going there only to be turned away. My husband and I are a queer couple who were dressed well, not drunk at all, and very respectful, and we were still turned away from this club for no reason at all. Many places online, including Google, list this as an LGBTQ+ friendly club. Make no mistake about it: this is absolutely untrue. Speaking with our concierge, a Lisbon local, he says guys are turned away from the club all the time simply for being guys. How is that LGBTQ+ friendly to turn away two queer men? Also, we were there well after midnight on a Friday night and it was still clearly very dead. This is a failing club because of their absurd, discriminatory door policy. Don't waste your time.

I don't know about all these other people, but I had no problem at the door here, and I'm an English-speaker living here. In fairness, I was with Portuguese friends with connections, and it was midweek (apparently a bit of an industry night). Never sensed any attitude from anybody at all. Quite the opposite! Doormen were inviting and funny. I had an awesome time. The music was so, SO good. (A solid mix of prog, deep, and tech house.) It loses points for vibe cos it wasn't very busy at all. A bigger crowd would have made it exceptionally better. It's a stylish place, with a nice backbar, super friendly bartenders, and a huge dance floor. Loved the colours and lights. Fit the mood really well. I don't think I'd come back unless I was with a group of friends and we all just wanted to dance, but it was a good time. No complaints at all.

We had heard good things about this club so wanted to check it out last night. There was a female DJ playing and we are always scouting for new talent to bring back to Canada. A well dressed group ahead of us were told it was 300 euros each to get in. We were so turned off by this, we didn’t bother to attempt to get in.

Worst club I’ve ever been to. Hands-down they are racist, classist, and the body guards are incredibly mean and rude. I’m appalled that this type of “selective” admission into a club is still permitted in Lisbon in 2023. Shame on you, Lux Club. Absolutely disastrous.

Friday we had a good time at Lux but yesterday was ridiculous. Half of our group couldnt enter after waiting 1 hour...also the 300euro story. Clearly an abuse of their power.. The bouncers are watching too many berghain videos on youtube. Spreading bad vibes and just unprofessional.. Club has potential but the bouncers need to get an educational weekend trip. So if u wanna have an average club where u may not come in, this is the place!

The host girl at the door with short hair is incredibly rude, i don’t know who she thinks she is talking to people with such disrespect and arrogantly demanding to see covid tests and telling people to be quite while they are trying to ask her questions. The manager and owner need to be made aware of her rude behaviour, as this is unacceptable. What a let down of a place. I will no longer be making a reservation for my birthday, I hope this review will be read by the owner, so that they are aware of the rude host at the door.

For all the reasons quoted in other posts this place is awful. Quoted 300 euros for foreigners. The bouncer even admitted that this is because they don’t want certain people to come in. Very up themselves and not an interesting place at all. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone wanting a fun night out in Lisbon.

This is a highly racist venue. While I fully respect a policy which gives the right to the venue to refuse entry, however, when this policy is purely nationality based, it's nothing other than racism. A rude and extremely condescending woman standing at the door told us it was a private event and needed to be on a guestlist to enter. This was a blatant lie, the fact was, the only ones turned away were foreigners while Portuguese were allowed in without being invited/on a guestlist (this was confirmed by locals in the queue). It's incredible to treat tourists in such a manner when the country itself depends so much on tourism to keep it from being a 3rd world nation. Very disappointing trip to Lisbon.

We wanted to check out the girl DJ as we are looking for cool acts to bring back to Canada The people in line in front of us were told it was 300 euros !?!? No club should ever cost that even if Madonna gives you a lap dance! I will never try to go here again even after all the good things I’ve heard. Clearly a very exclusive club trying to rip off tourists. We can find better talent elsewhere. Thumbs down too cool club!

Club was empty nonkne at the door, but my spanish frieds liked techno so I was down for the sacrifice to go there. They don't let us in talking about a guest list even though lux website clearly states there's no such thing. So basically a lie, and now seeing other comments might have been because we were talking spanish. So save your time don't go. They wanna be like a Bergheim which os laughable. There's better places in Lisbon even for techno

Why I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there: I lived in Lisboa for 6 months. If you know Portuguese as your mother language you have a chance to get in. If not I wouldn’t recommend to go there. We went there in a more than appropriate appearance and a women ratio > 50%. Super confident as you may probably are. Never got rejected anywhere else. But many times it’s just better to trust the Google recessions. Better listen to my advice: Don’t try to go there. It’s not worth it get rejected and go somewhere else just because the bumpers think to artificially shorten the people to get in. Sometimes they say you are not on the guest list and sometimes they say the entrance fee is 240€.

Worst club in lisbon. They wanted 300 euro for the entrance. And they are rude, too. And some locals also told us that that the club does this, not only with tourists, also with them. I think they let you only in when you are female or a group with enough females. My suggestion, go to the club musicbox in the pink street. They are very friendly, nice music and good people. Entrance is also only 6-10 euro and you get 2 free drinks (beer or shots). Lux is not worth it.

The best club I’ve been to in previous years. The music was so good! Very spacious interior with rich illuminations and a quality acoustics. The staff was classy and very helpful. The party starts late and there’s usually a huge queue waiting for the entrance. This is the unnecessary part as until 2:00 the club was almost empty (with a queue outside). I enjoyed the overall experience, though the music isn’t best suited to dance. Entrance 12€.

Don’t go if you’re a foreigner. They let Portuguese people in for around 12 euro and foreigners are 300 euros per person. This should be illegal and Portugal should do something unless they also support this unethical company. There seems to be tons of other choices. Don’t go here

We had a great evening here. The techno is not comparable to Berlin but it was much better than expected. The people were relaxed and the staff was lovely. There were no problems at the door and we got in straight away. The only downside is the prices. Unfortunately, 5 euros for a shot is not at all reasonable. But otherwise it's a nice club.

Visited 12/16/2023. It was highly recommended by many locals. Got there and the door keeper looked at us and said we can’t go it because you had to be members. I replied and said you didn’t ask those people for membership he said because they were invited. My brother turned around to ask the people behind us if they were invited or members and they replied with no we are just visiting. Gist of the story is, this is a very racist place. Do not support them.

Sad to be another one having to write the same comment. The same 300€ excuse to get in after queuing for about an hour, with 4 cute girls and 2 (cute, not to be cocky) guys, properly dressed for the venue. When the regular price is 12€, ridiculous. And then you are dismissed from the queue by an incompetent “bouncer” who couldn’t even get inside himself if he were a regular guest. I’ve travelled a lot and been to much fancier places in NY, London or Paris and never had such a bad experience. So sad this is happening in Lisbon.

This place tries to look elitist and select but doesn't even offer some ability to book a table nor VIP entrance. Talking with a pretty rude lady on the entrance, I was informed this is a "danceclub" so its for dancing only, so why would i be asking for a table reservation. Looks like the poor lady has never been very far outside town nor experience in high end places. Thank you for making us pass on this and go to the real deal.

Very prejudiced business, do not go unless you know someone who works there or you've been there before. Saw the bouncers deny/accept girls based solely on looks, kinda weird. It was pretty dead compared to the other clubs I've seen in Lisbon, does not live up to the hype.

Undoubtedly the best club in Lisbon and one of the best I've been to in my life. All bad reviews come from tourists who were not allowed inside. This is not due to xenophobic policies, it simply happens because the club tends to get full very easily and, in order to avoid this from happening, after a certain hour (usually 1am) they stop letting everyone in usually giving priority to locals (who are regular customers) over tourists.

I’d seen reviews about people being refused entry but assumed the people turned away were drunk / rowdy. Unfortunately having ignored these reviews i was advised entry was €300 though adjacent people were being charged €12. The bouncer just said the price is different for different people, couldn’t give a reason. We were a group of 10 girls, we’re all professionals not about to cause an issue - mainly Asian so weren’t sure if race was an issue? obviously didn’t go in & someone else in the queue said sometimes they’re funny if you don’t speak Portuguese - he recommended Urban beach nearby which was amazing!

This was the worst club experience I ever had. The people came around 3am in the morning before that the dancefloor was empty. It’s a waste of money. The music is neither Techno nor house, to be honest it was the most boring music I ever heard. Do they even try to throw a decent party there? No they don’t. I can only recommend to go somewhere else and don’t waste your money to get this underwhelming experience.

We had a friend celebrate her birthday. We took 3 ubers, they arrived before us, they let them in but not us for a bs reason "private event", we were 2 boys and 1 girl all well dressed. Our friends were already inside. What I find unacceptable is the way they talked to us "you need to get out of here" I never saw this, not even in Paris. A place to avoid. 2.5 is already overrated. Inside was not even packed and it ruined our friend's birthday celebration.

This club was awesome. Amazing electronic music and different music vibes on different floors. A bit on the expensive side for drinks but worth it in the end for the cool ambiance. We got there really early (around midnight) and had zero problems getting in and didn't have to pay anything. Ignore the bad reviews it's just people that are too drunk or obnoxious or maybe dressed like trash. We were dressed casually and had no problem getting in whatsoever

Basically 2 1/2 (rooftop/calmdown area) floors, first floor with standard pop music and the other with actually good electronic/ techno music. The prices of the drinks: Gin Tonic 7€, Beer 4€, tequila shots 7€ for once(too expensive in my opinion), vodka shots 4€ Extremely unpleasant smoking on the dance floor everywhere, should be changed. The audience was inexperienced too stiff and Touristik (of course we was tourists too but not like them) We stayed until 4:30 and we got in at 2:15..

I guess Lux, John Malkovich (one of the owners) and Lisbon don't want our money; as genuine music fans at our last night in Lisbon we were excited to go out and dance. We didn't want to believe the reviews as we were recommended by two different travel books to check out Lux... We got there right before midnight on Saturday night, there is no one in the club, there is no music playing, and the 4 of us (2 couples) got turned away. If only the travel books told us it was an exclusive club and that we needed to talk to locals to join the guestlist we would have been able to get in. It's a local DJ night and the club is empty. Do some research and reach out to locals if you want to dance... We are at the hotel next door and they are turning away everyone... I wish the hotel workers warned us in advance...

I went last Saturday with one of my best friend to show her Lux (because I go very often) because she was on holidays and when we arrived to the door, the security guy says that we should be signed on the guest list (when the "guest list" it's other qeue)...Honestly I didn't even try to get in because I felt really weird about that request because Lux doesn't works that way, even in their web site they say that's every person should do the line and they don't sell tickets on line. I've been a lots of time and inside it's a really nice place but now I feel really weird going there, so shame that a really nice place it's becoming in this :(

I went to Lux last night and after reading the reviews I knew I had to leave one. By far it is one of the best clubs in Lisbon, that said, this club does not want anyone to enter it, like in Berlin Berghain, not everyone who stands in line will get in. Being from San Francisco and being very gay, I came with my Portuguese friends who got me in through with connections and no queue. This club wants to serve the Portuguese deep house lovers and gay-friendly down-to-earth people, that said, they may not let you in if you don’t fit their clientele. If you’re in and act sloppy or like a foolish drunk or start bumping into people or cause any trouble, you will be kicked out. Anyways, I danced till 8 am and the lights and sound system were insanely amazing. Beautiful people, and two dance floors and rooftop and balconies for smoking with beautiful views. The downstairs dance floor has the best music and most of the gays are hanging on the right side of the club. I will never forget how good this experience was.

Ugh, that club was a total letdown! The music was just a repetitive loop of generic beats, and the DJ seemed more interested in scrolling through their phone than actually mixing. The crowd was a mix of disinterested people and overly rowdy groups, making it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. Plus, the drinks were ridiculously overpriced, leaving me with a bitter taste in my mouth (both figuratively and literally!). I definitely won't be going back there anytime soon! 😒🎵🍹

I have heard so many bad things about this club. People being asked outrageous amounts of money, being denied on a racial basis, etc. So I went there yesterday fearful that I would not get in. A group of people asked me to join them. I had a wonderful time and made some friends. The music was top!

This is a good club for sure; I enjoyed it, but it is strange to see that not everyone gets in, and it’s far away from any other club, so if you’re coming all this way, make sure you can also get inside.

Turned up to see a DJ i specifically wanted to see but only to be turned away for “guest list” only. I was there before 1am before the main crowd. Just a snobby nightclub with obnoxious bouncers who judge you on your trend/look rather than your passion, or appreciation of the artist on stage. Recommend avoiding.

Very fun club, amazing and beautiful venue. The people were amazing and very attractive. Mostly men but no creeps everyone kept their distance and was very respectful on dance floor (we were 3 girls 1 boy). Entrance was 15€ , coat check was 1€ and the music was cool electronic. Loved the rooftop and both of the floors, one with softer music and one a bit harder. We were 4 Americans and were let in very easily with barley any line. Heard that they don’t let tourists in and are rude to them but luckily we had the opposite experience. An older more mature crowd which was appreciated. We got there on a Friday night at around 1am and it was pretty empty but at around 3-4am it got very packed. A lot of room to dance and people aren’t pushy nor is it too hot. Definitely recommend!

Foolishly ignored the negative reviews. If you speak English, you will be told that there’s a private event going on. The next night was apparently also going to be private. I went Friday just before 1 AM. In the moment, I asked if they were just “politely” rejecting me without explicitly doing so and they said nothing; this confirms all other negative reviews from English speakers. Possibly worth going to while in town but it is 1000% clearly no Berghain. Absolutely do not travel to Lisbon for this club (rather go to Berlin for clubs) but only consider trying if you’re already in town

Unfortunately this club has a lot of unfriendly bouncers who decide whether you can enter or not. We wanted to get in on a Thursday night but were denied access because there was apparently a private party going on. When asking if we could get in tomorrow, the bouncer said that there is a private party everyday. In other words, no access. A couple of girls arrived and tried to get in and were granted access immediately without being on the guest list. We will not return here and suggest other people to do the same.

If you’re not “a member” don’t waste your time. Ps the club looked completely empty and the only people I saw enter were 1) a man in a board shorts bathing suit and 2) a 50 year old man. They turned away every person I would want to party with. Have a great night elsewhere.

Absolute joke of a club. Music was horrible. Very commercial/mainstream. And the clientele are just as bad, if not worse. I went one night. Came the following weekend and because I wasn’t with Portuguese natives, they turned us down claiming it was a “members only” club. 2 minutes later letting in people who were from the area and were not “members” who I spoke to earlier asking if they were “members” and confused they said they were not. I went and approached the bouncers about it and I got completely ignored while he spoke Portuguese to the others at the door. Warning to anyone not from Europe, these Barghain bouncer wanna be’s are rude and absolute trash. Best advice, don’t waste your time. At least the queue at Berghain is worth it. This place definitely is not.

Here’s my take: Arrived just before midnight alone, and after a quick greeting I was invited in ( I am black man in my mid twenties and I do speak Portuguese which probably helped). The space itself is very nice, the middle floor caters to an older crowd playing disco, funk. While the ground level caters to a younger more eclectic crowd playing techno, tech and acid house. Upstairs there is a roof top with a bar and many seating areas. The drinks were expensive for Portuguese standards, but the quality was better than most. Contrary to many comments I actually found the staff very kind and helpful. And the crowd itself was nice and diverse. Will I return? Probably not so soon, although my experience was positive. I don’t feel like this space really scratched my itch for electronic music. I am more into warehouse underground kind of parties. And while this place has the potential it’s just all over the place in terms of direction. One moment you feel like you’re in Berlin and the next you’re in some pretentious yuppie club in Ibiza or Mykonos. Tips that may help you get in: -Make an effort with your outfit but dress comfortable. -Big groups are NOT welcome (3+) especially if you’re male. -Learn a few greetings in Portuguese, they don’t kiss a** to foreigners. -Show up early and sober or at least soberish lol. -If you do get denied entry, don’t argue just leave it is NOT that SERIOUS. It’s a club for Christ’s sake not heaven! P.S: Glad I got to see Laurel and Juliana smash the dance floor🤘🏾🤘🏾🇺🇸🇺🇸

Doormen were arrogant jerks. Did not let anyone in if you’re not Portuguêse. We were polite, they had no reason to be so rude. Many people were standing in the parking lot who were all turned down. It’s far from any other club so make sure you are with a local to ensure you can get in before going.

Rooftop was closed because it was cold, worth it without.

Definitely the best nightclub in Lisbon. The music, the art, the atmosphere are just astonishing. I would recommend to know the djs who are playing there, to be well-dressed or even edgy, be authentic and know the culture and the vibe of the place if you want to get in. It is a very gay-friendly discotheque. It is expensive for Lisbon prices, but absolutely worth it. It can be just a night out or it can also be a night of freedom and escapism, with a bit of posh.

I recently came across an article about night clubs with the best sound systems, and this one showed up. I asked myself how could I have missed this place when I was visiting the beautiful town Lisbon? I looked at the photos and realize that we did stop by. They didn’t charge much (maybe 10-12 euro) but at 1am on a weekend night the place was pretty dead with a fancy-pants vibe. Maybe it changed, but go to Berlin for the clubs and Lisbon for the culinary experience. This place gets 1 star for charging 300 euro to people who need a Function One fix.

Horrible management! I've waited around ninety minutes in line and in the end, me and two friends, simply and without any explanation we're invited to leave the line, just when we're about to enter. They gave us absolutely no justification, this was a disturbing act, because people after (man and women) did enter inside. We're not making any disturbance and were wearing regular clothing, also even if you are a part of a larger groups (with man and women) they often just segregate that group and cast outside the ones they don't want to enter, for whatever reasons...

The place is very cool, the lights and spaces have been created with such a nice taste. The music was absolutely amazing in both rooms. The security team was very professional and kind anytime you had to ask them for something, as well as the cleaners. The toilets were very clean. Honestly, this club in Lisboa has been one of my funniest experiences and the vibes there are just too good. I don't normally write negative reviews but in this case this is a must. Is not that I have smtg personal against the tall, slim and long tied up hair waiter (he was serving in the counter of the first floor) that denied re-filling my glass of water and told me to do it in the toilet, but this kind of behaviour is just unacceptable. In most countries in Europe it is MANDATORY to dedicate a space of the counter for free tap water, and the waiters are indeed in charge of it. But apparently this is too much for this club or for this waiter (I don't know if he's following instructions os just being astonishingly rude). The rest of the waiters/waitresses were kind and served me water/drinks anytime I needed with good manners. It is a shame that things like this happen and we forget that we are human beings and not only custumers that should pay for anything they need. As animals we need air, water and a toilet, and that's the minimum you need to make sure you provide for free in every space in which there's people dancing, drinking alcohol, etc. I would have given 5 stars to this place if it wasn't for this disappointing waiter. I hope the managers of this place take into consideration to create a space for free tap water, as any club of the same level in Europe.

The worst club in Lisbon. Having read reviews about them not letting people in we took a chance and were happy to get in… but once we were in we wished we hadn’t come. The toilets were disgusting and the dance floor is sticky. The DJ insisted on playing S Club 7 all night and not even the hits, just their back catalogue. When I asked the staff if the DJ could play something else they told me to go back to where I came from. I’m from Ealing. We waited for more people to arrive in the club but it remained empty all night, and when we remarked on this to the bouncer we were told we were lucky to get in at all and if he could back in time we’d be not allowed in and probably pushed into the sea. I’ve never felt so unwelcome. And I’m from Ealing.

I always had a good time, because you have spacious areas and serious DJ sets that are worth the visit. Anyways, the security is a little bit too serious and the ambiente can be very arrogant.

Best club of its kind in Lisbon. You have to understand, though, that it's a little more exclusive than other venues around. They will kick you out of you're staring at a wall by yourself for too long, for example. Also you'll have a much harder time getting in if a) no one in your group speaks Portuguese, b) you're not dressed nicely, or c) you're too drunk/nervous. It's a little silly having to jump through these hoops, but it's worth it to experience Lux at least once.

  • 1/5 Vukasin V. 2 years ago on Google
If you are foreign, their scam/segregation price 300e for entrance when the real price is 10-12e. They even have a scam sign on the door. Is this ok? No, this is not "common" in big European clubs.

I think its a good place to party. But if you wanna get in u have to wear a black or white shirt and long trousers, don’t be to overdressed! They will watch u while ur in the queue. Be like in front of Berghein. Look serious, talk less and be sober j

To enter the main club which is underground, you need to be there early. 2400 is kinda a early but if there is a guest performer then might need to go earlier than that and also be ready stand in line for hours if you don't reach on time.

New Years Eve party is always a must at Lux. It was a perfect night with amazing crowd and the music was flawless, as always. The best club in Portugal and one of the best in Europe. A must dance in Lisbon!

Great soundsystem. Heteronormative environment. Serving small town provincial & pretencious culture. Queer immigrants be aware. Hostess will make you feel welcome if you have the right Portuguese friend. Staff is too cool to smile. Go if desperate, it is a big club after all. But make sure to be safe, because they dont know how to ensure the basics for minorities. They do bring great DJs though.

  • 1/5 Alisa A. 1 year ago on Google
The club doesn't have any pre-conditions for entry, however we where not admitted with a pretext of "members only" and "knowing someone in". Really bad management, entry conditions should be made CLEAR

Amazing to see night life in Lisbon! Quite fancy, many different people. Service was great and polite. Brilliant atmosphere. Be aware parties are starting later, it only starts getting busy at 2am and queues are long at about 3am to get in. Definitely recommend for 30+, no kids around!

  • 1/5 Clemens S. 5 months ago on Google
As others said before, they don’t allow tourists (at least if it is a group of guys). They ask whether you are a member and want you to pay a members fee (which is significantly higher than the entry fee). Obviously we didn’t do that.

People truly lacking musical culture, without a sense of humor, and extremely xenophobic. Essentially, ignorant troglodytes devoid of any human sensibility and morality. A great embodiment of the 1500 mindset. Please stop this extremist attitude of shame towards the world, you scoundrels wrapped in shamelessness. The world urgently needs the extinction of these evil, outdated, and cruel individuals. Just vomit, that's all.

Lux used to be one of my dearest places to go out once in a while to listen to my favorite DJs, who would visit Lisbon. Tonight, I got highly disappointed. Not only that it is one of the places charging the highest prices for drinks (fair enough), now you can’t tip the employees anymore if you pay with card. No one needs to explain that bar service is a tough job and workers rely on tips. So, basically, if you are without cash, they are screwed. Nevertheless, the worst part for me was that due to the fact that at some point my credit card wasn’t. Ring accepted anymore (after already spending lots of money there the entire night), the only option they gave me at lux was to either go to a cash machine and come back or leave at all. They don’t do Stornos!! Nowhere, in an established place, this exists! So, if you can’t pay, you get kicked out, seriously Lux? This are your new policies? Not customers friendly and handy at all. Security’s argument to me was “we are selling drinks. What if we have to do several Stornos a night.” Are you saying people are obliged to drink?! Lux, you were a place I loved to go, but now I can only say go - you exactly know what. And worst part, you won’t even care about one persons opinion, but nevertheless you kick out one person over one Storno. Ridiculous.
