Wow. I'll start with the negatives, there aren't any. Such a beautiful hotel. The apartment is unreal. Such luxury. The breakfast idea is great. Breakfast items in the room and then get fresh bread delivered to your apartment every day. The apartment is stunning. Has everything that you need. The location is perfect, away from the main hustle and bustle but only a couple of minutes from the main entertainment and restaurants. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I emailed the hotel to say that it was our delayed honeymoon and 1st wedding anniversary. There was a lovely chilled bottle of fizz waiting for us upon check-in. We only stayed for 2 nights, but could easily have stayed for a week. There are so many parts of the beautiful city of Lisbon that we didn't get to see, so already looking at booking again next year. Thank you for such a great stay. See you again soon.

We spent Thanksgiving Week 2021 (USA) at the Dare Lisbon. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room had so much personality (and how often can you say that about a hotel?) with lots of storage space. We loved the kitchen and that we could have breakfast in our room every morning, and that each day the breakfast items left on the door differed somewhat. The hotel was very well located for all we wanted to do. When we needed a suggestion for dinner or directions, the staff was willing to help us every time. Their suggestions for tour companies were exactly the kinds of tours we wanted. The best part of the hotel was Tanya. She was so pleasant and helpful, and we even spent a couple of evenings on the couch talking with her about life as we all knew it. She (and really, everyone we encountered at Dare Lisbon) made an excellent stay outstanding. Thank you, Dare Lisbon, for making our trip that much better!

Small (approx 20 room) hotel in downtown Lisbon. Close to many tourist areas, but not on a busy street. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was clean and organized. There is a TV, safe, kitchen (in living room / entrance room); rain shower in bathroom (water heater can hold about 20 minutes of hot water); bedroom has shutters that open up to a small balcony where one can come out and look down the street. The rooms have some older aspects (tile, walls) that have been preserved, in combination with the newer amenities. Stairs and elevator have art pieces. Food: there are fruits, wine, juice and coffee near concierge desk, but breakfast is simply brought to your room. The breakfast generally consists of a croissant or pastry and some fruit. The refrigerator has milk and yogurt, and there is cereal, coffee and tea in the cupboard. (I didn't really partake of this, because I wanted to try food at the local restaurants, but if you are pressed for time or very budget-conscious, the breakfast isn't too bad). Breakfast is usually brought to your room around 8am. Overall, this was my favorite hotel that I stayed in during my European trip.

Checked all the boxes and more! This was a very lovely stay. I enjoyed staying here far more than actual 5 star hotels. The rooms were charming, clean and the perfect amount of modern. Literally everything from the bed, pillows, sheets to the cleaning service was impeccable. Upon check-in the staff were amazing and extremely helpful (amazing suggestions for restaurants, site seeing and more) in a very honest and personable way. I would 100% recommend staying here to everyone! We really enjoyed our in suite kitchen with the amazing ingredients that they brought us daily. Right in the heart of the city too! Hope to be back someday 😍❤️ I noticed this a wheelchair accessible stay too. Some tighter spaces, but for a more agile person they would be able to make do!

Truly such an amazing stay! The hotel was very clean, lots of storage and space. They take a sustainable approach which was very cool to see! There is a lot of beautiful art work and tiling in the room. The kitchen was spacious and stocked with goodies and the bathroom was also so nice! They also bring breakfast to your room and that was such a great touch(the warm bread is truly the best)! They had coffee, wine and water downstairs which was also great! It’s in a wonderful location, super easy to see so much of Lisbon! But above all else the staff was truly amazing, so helpful, kind and welcoming. They gave us some really great recommendations and helped us schedule things with no hesitation or complication. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone, it was the best way to spend our time in Lisbon! Thank you so much!

Dare Lisbon apartment hotel is a total win! The service? A solid 10/10. And the room? Pure dream vibes – like living in a cozy apartment straight out of a fantasy. 🌟🏡 Adding to the enchantment, the service at this Lisboa gem is truly 10/10 – impeccable and personalised. As for the room, it was nothing short of a dream apartment. Every corner exudes comfort and sophistication. A stay here is a journey into luxury and coziness, making it an unforgettable experience. 💞✨

Without a doubt this was the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Europe. We were fortunate to get an upgrade for our two nights and the room was huge. The best we’ve ever had, anywhere. Many nice touches going above and beyond expectations. Fresh bread in the morning outside our door to go along with the many breakfast items they provided in the fully equipped kitchen. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The hotel location is close to everything you want to see in Lisbon. The area is mostly flat, one block from Rua Agusta and close to Rossio Square. Just an amazing place to stay.

Such a lovely hotel with extremely friendly and welcoming stuff. The location is great, right in the cuter Center, the rooms are spacious and the interior is amazingly aesthetic. Every morning they brought fresh bread and since the fridge was full of fruit, eggs and yoghurt, you could enjoy an amazing breakfast. Will definitely come back! 🤍

Amazing! Interior design is a mix of modern and industrial which is well executed but still sympathetic to the (very attractive) bones of the building. Bathroom and shower are very well conceived, aesthetically beautiful and supremely functional. Staff are polite, efficient and very helpful. And, perhaps most importantly, they are dog friendly. We often have to compromise on quality to allow our small companion to travel with us; this is very much not the case here. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at the Dare Lisbon Hotel. The apartments are well equipped, the breakfast service is amazing and the team was just wonderful. They are always there to help you and give you great recommendations for different things to see in Lisbon.

Wonderful stay! Thank you to Jorge and his team for the wonderful service. Jorge was also able to accommodate an earlier check in for us, which was super helpful as we had an earlier flight. Rooms were super clean and comfortable, breakfast delivered on time daily and great location to all walking attractions and subway station. Would highly recommend!

I dare you to stay here and dislike it! What a nice apartment, well laid out, eco-friendly (and clearly stated why), quiet, very well air conditioned, with a nice fully equipped, impeccable kitchen to allow one to fix breakfast every day. With the added generosity of a bag of varied, warm bread types hung on the door every morning! Having a separate living room with a kitchen, and a private bathroom helped the homelike ambiance. The bedroom was spacious, bed was comfortable, and small details such as a Dare Lisbon T- shirt as a gift, was very welcome. Service was excellent, since we were able to book a tour with a private guide to Sintra the morning after our arrival! Always available wine at the front desk, fresh fruit, as well as yogurt, eggs and other breakfast basics was awesome. Dare to share!

My husband and I, along with four other friends of ours – on a couples trip – stumbled upon this wonderful hotel upon our search of somewhere in Lisbon that would be central enough to do access all of Lisbon but also have a charm to it that most hotels seem to lack these days. I am so glad that we had a chance to stay here. From booking until our check out, everything was done with precision and care. The customer service team were very friendly and amazing at their jobs. They were so kind to book our dinner reservations and give us great bits of information and tips for our stay. The room we had was so nice. Beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed, nice decor. The thing that makes Dare Lisbon House stand out is its kitchen. We were provided delicious, fresh bread every morning, along with eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee (in a lovely little espresso machine), and other food items. This made breakfast really easy and convenient – and tasty! Kudos to offering the perfect amount of oranges to freshly squeeze our own juice. The lobby also has a bar that offers complimentary wine, coffee and water. It also is just a really warming and comfy lobby to hang out in. Anything and everything that you'd need for a holiday stay is provided by the hotel: from irons to travel plug adapters. They accommodate for food allergies/intolerances, and they cater to personal needs. (We were provided oat milk!) If you need a transfer to/from Lisbon Airport, they provide that for you (for a cost of course). If I had anything to say that could be improved for the room we stayed in: maybe more hooks to hang up towels and washcloths; also the sliding door to our bathroom was heavy to operate. Besides that, it was SPLENDID. We will definitely be returning to Dare Lisbon House now. It feels great to know that there are places to stay that aren't AirBnBs or super expensive chain hotels. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I had a beautiful, relaxing stay at Dare. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms are stunning, beds are very comfortable and the location is perfect. The hotel is right in the center, yet remains very quiet in a secluded street. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious, I came home rejuvenated from this trip and Dare made that happen!

Perfect boutique hotel in the middle of the old town. Great service, eloquently and tastefully decorated rooms. The building is gorgeous and all the details give you the right blend of new and old.

My stay at Dare Lisbon House was great. My partner and I had two cancelled flights and the airline lost our bags on the way to Lisbon, but the staff at Dare were so helpful and accommodating. George from the front desk was especially helpful. The fresh bread and eggs every morning were a wonderful touch and we slept in until almost 1pm every day because the bed was so comfortable. I’d highly recommend!

Best place I have stayed in Lisbon (this is 4th visit). Beds were so comfortable. The location was perfect; right in the center of things but very quiet at night. The rooms were perfectly clean and service was superb. This will be my go-to place to stay in future visits to Lisbon!

I cannot give the staff or the accommodation enough stars. Every room (we looked at a couple) was high design with the highest quality details and materials. It's amazing to get a room here. The perks and the feeling in the rooms, the quiet AC and the individual care - it's clear that this place is loved by the owners and the team members and that made us feel great because we could feel it. The team members were tremendous. Trust their recommendations and thank you to the team. Wish we could have stayed longer.

A masterpiece of design work. The owner has impeccable taste. Its rated 3 stars because it is small boutique hotel that allows pets with no pool. Its the most beautiful remodel I have ever seen not just for material selection but in ingenious layouts.

Dare Lisbon House is a great place to stay. The location is perfect, right in the center, but quiet, no street noise. The room was good, it had everything we needed, especially considering you don't spend that much time in your room. It was small but cozy. I liked the do-it-yourself breakfast in the room, fresh bread and pasties hanging on the door every morning, and eggs, fruit, and yogurt in the room's kitchen. Now the service, never have I met more friendly and helpful staff members at a hotel. These people were so nice. Always ready to give nice recommendations or useful tips. Restaurant or trip recommendations, where to get a train ticket or best park your car, all kind of things they are happy to help you with. And last but not least, the open bar downstairs, it's such a nice welcoming detail. A glass of wine or some coffee, all complimentary. Even when we had two friends over for a glass of wine, it was no problem. This place and these people are true examples of how the hospitality industry should be.

Amazing hotel that I would 100% return to & tell my friends about. The room and bathroom is super clean and modern. The customer service was amazing right from the start at check-in with the free wine+coffee, explaining attractions, the city, offering food recommendations and even booking the dinner reservation. The wine was so good that we got several more glasses throughout our stay- all complimentary with no time restrictions!! The breakfast pastry delivery was amazing as we got warm bread and pastries every morning. They made a simple takeaway breakfast box when we had to checkout before the pastry delivery too. Can’t recommend this spot enough! However, be aware that you might hear some of your neighbours talking in the hallway sometimes in the morning/late night.

Location, location, location! We absolutely adored our apartment. We got the loft apartment with a balcony and absolutely loved everything about it. We ended up really sick while on vacation in Lisbon ): very sad, but thankfully we had a beautiful apartment to stay in, cook in, and feel comfortable in, while the sickness passed. The staff are extremely friendly and so very helpful. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's gorgeous and so well maintained and handled. Dare to book here, you won't regret it!

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Dare Lisbon and made our honeymoon very special! The staff was very nice and accommodating, the location was close to the city center, and the rooms were big! We really liked that the fridge was stocked everyday with eggs, milk, butter, and fresh oranges. They also delivered freshly baked bread and pastries every morning to each room!! We would highly recommend Dare Lisbon and will definitely stay here again when we return to Lisbon!!

One of the friendliest, most welcoming, and hospitable hotels I have stayed at around the world. Had wonderful and insightful conversations with much of the staff, and felt at home the entire stay (especially with the surprise birthday note and dessert in our room for my wife! Well done). The complimentary wine was a wonderful and unexpected touch, and we absolutely love the sustainable and minimal-waste approach the hotel takes. Without hesitation, will stay at Dare the next time I am in Lisbon. Thank you, Filipa, Iris, Tania, Fabio, and Jorge!

5+ stars! My husband and I stayed here during part of our honeymoon in Lisbon and it completely exceeded all our expectations! Upon arrival we were upgraded to a bigger suite which was amazing! We had a lovely space with kitchen and balcony! The design and decor in the hotel is chic. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They left us a bottle of wine and thoughtful note upon arrival. The location was such a huge plus! We walked to every single site in the area! Walked to every dinner, so many cool n fun bars right nearby! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a unique alternative to a basic hotel!

I almost don’t want to write the amazing review I am about to write because I would love for Dare to remain a ‘well-kept secret’ - however, I honestly believe that this small, lovely, impeccbly clean hotel deserves the highest praise. From the greeting by the friendly team, the gorgeous interiors, the immediate offer of water or wine and the overall suave, smooth service this has to be my favorite hospitality experience ever. Everything was just enough and not too much - and perfectly executed, even down to the uniquely-designed elevator! When we arrived at our very aesthetically pleasing room there was a handsome bowl of fruit with an interesting selection, all perfectly ripe and unblemished. The refrigerator and cupboards in the efficient little kitchenette were stocked with exactly the options we wanted: olive oil in a beautiful carafe, granola, honey, organic yogurt, etc. The morning delivery of pastries made for a sweet little surprise every day. We loved and appreciated the lighting, the preservation of the historical tiles & other features, plus the sleek modern bathroom with a wonderful selection of soaps and lotions. The sound from the street was undetectable and we slept soundly. The only downside is that Dare spoiled us for our next BnB because our expectations are now so high! We love Dare and only wish there were more locations - we would only stay there from now on.

Excellent stay. We booked over a year ago and were unable to come. We were given vouchers, which we used last week. The staff was so helpful and the rooms were absolutely beautiful - design elements much nicer than your typical boutique hotel. Comfortable beds and furnishings. Location was perfect as well. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return.

This boutique hotel is super nice. Clean, great location, right by tram but also in the heart of the city so tram is not even needed most times. Simple but good breakfast. Staff were nice and helpful. Parts of the stairs and walls are rough meaning they are from before the earthquake of 1750 since city won’t allow touching them. Free espresso, water and wine free of charge in the lobby. Our room was spacious with a kitchenette and sitting area. Highly recommend it.

The room was nice and clean, additionally you have a small kitchen, however they only provide you two pots (frying pan is not provided even though you have to cook your own breakfast. The problems started during the check in. Firstly, they demanded a credit card to be able to check in, meaning it is compulsory. Secondly, it is advertised breakfast included, but cheese or ham is not available (even if you request, they simply say NO! And they justify by saying these a perishable items and we want to cut the cost and "waste"), therefore very inflexible. What you get per person is: 1 natural yogurt, 1 coffee, 1 butter, 1 jam, 1normal bread, 1 micro "pastel de nata"(sal is provided but no pepper). When you arrive there is a plate with 2 pears and 2 bananas, but is not part of the breakfast (just welcome gift) so do not expect to be refilled. In some pictures you might get the idea that a bottle of wine is included, but it is not, if you want One you have to pay. Thirdly, regarding the argument reducing waste, they do not recycle and even the coffee available comes in in non recyclable plastic capsules. Overall it was a big disappointment. If you book this hotel, do it for the location nothing else. And using their own word don't expect anything else because "your not a prince or princess"

I researched so many accommodations in Lisbon before deciding on Dare Lisbon House. My husband and I loved this choice. It’s central to everything, but on a quieter side street. The bed was comfortable and sheets were soft. The shower and bathroom are spacious. We lived having a little kitchen and the DIY breakfast was perfect for starting your day on your own schedule and with privacy. There is staff on site 24/7 if you need anything, including dinner reservations.
