Wow. When I was there, I meet an sand artist. Her name is Lisa and she is from Germany. I was so happy to meet someone who is showing love for art. The sculptures are amazing. The details of each one are.. wow. Famous people, Marvel, Disney .. everything. Great . Super.

Ok it takes only an hour or two to go round the whole park. But then there is a nice cafe to sit and relax afterwards. The ticket prices do however reflect this, so at less than 30 euros for 2 adults and a kid its not bad value. Doesnt get too busy which is good. You can rent golf buggies if you dont feel like walking round. The sand sculptures are all very good and plenty of them. All in all a cheapish few hours of time to pass.

Beautifully crafted cities, telling lively stories of various cultures , arts, trends and movie franchises!! Takes about 1.5 hour to visit and very worthwhile.

Great place to visit. They keep changing the sculptures. We came 7 years ago and it was different. Though, this time many sculptures were cracked or broken. It's a shame but it could do with an injection of maintenance.. maybe some more shade around as it can get quite hot walking around in summer. Overall worth it and reasonable priced.

Amazing sand sculpture! Every section has its theme: cartoons, fantasy, America, Asia, etc. Really amazing! We saw it early afternoon, and it was sun flood. Early evening, with cooler temperatures and nice lighting can be a good idea. Golf cart is available. We didn't use.

The place is really great. The tour is 1h00 long and the price is acceptable. Some sculptures are way better than other. I recommend it overall.

Pretty cool sand sculptures. Definitely worth it with kids or if you like giant sand sculptures. At almost 12€ per person I think it’s on the pricey side but depends on what you like. If you are strapped for time I’d enjoy the beaches. But if you have time and kids or like sculptures then it’s pretty cool. It’s open in the evening too and took us just over an hour to see all of them at a pretty slow pace.

Really entertaining trip to see these sculptures. Hired a buggy which was more fun than helpful...you get to see round the site but if you want to stop & take pics time flies. The sculptures are fantastic and so varied. There's easy parking, food available and toilets near the entrance. We had a pizza which was delicious...staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our visit ...anyone with mobility problems would need a buggy ride as it's a large site and the ground very uneven.

A fun few hours out at Sand City well spent in the Algarve, Portugal. If you can get out here it's well worth a visit. Highly skilled craftsmen have made a fantastic collection of sand sculptures that can be enjoyed by family groups or for individuals. We walked around but you can hire golf carts for up to 30 mins. A fun afternoon spent at Sand City will come back again one day as every year apparently the themes change.

By visiting this place, we really had our eyes full, beyond what we had imagined. The place is very great, arranged so as to make us travel in time, space, fiction, reality and often unimaginable surprises. A very nice job done by teams of professional and amateur sculptors from around the world. I also had the pleasure of talking to a sculptor who was kind enough to explain their work to me. Congratulations to all of them, fantastic!

A random addition to my family holiday, and a very welcome addition at that! Had such a blast walking around admiring the fantastic work these people have done! Representations from many different countries, mythological creatures and even Star Wars and Marvel characters 😁 Defo worth checking out!

We were at our 2nd Sand City experience in Algarve. The first one about 15 years ago. All very talented artists built amaizing sand sculputres. In contrast to our first experience, this time you could see a kind of hard coating on the sculpures (looked more like cement than sand). I would say around 5% of the sculpures had broken parts. Maybe the artists could be informed and improve their technique next time. We also appreciated the vegetation, picnik areas.

Was just ok. It was a hot hot day, so we drove around in a golf cart. That was very helpful. But honestly, all this sand, and not anywhere near a beach, is just weird. And then there’s the disrepair. Many of the structures were in need of repairs- broken pieces and such, throughout. That was disappointing. By the end of our visit, we both decided - time not well spent, given our limited days in the Algarve. So, if you have lots of time TK spend and are looking for things to do, you might want to visit. But if you’re in the Algarve for only a few days, don’t bother with this. Given all the road signage, one would think it would be in better condition. 👎NOT Recommended

Sand City was an unexpected find. We were driving by and stumbled upon this place. The ti kets were €11.50, but it was totally worth it. I lost count of how many sculptures there were. It took a tremendous effort and imagination to build such an exposition. They have covered history, fairy tales, famous people. There is even a Pope riding a Vespa, a scene from Avatar and Harry Potter, little red riding hood and a wolf. They commemorated ancient cultures, there are pyramids of Giza, Machu-Pichu temple, and many more. We lived the place!

It's a small place with lots of sand sculptures, some better than others. Enjoyed my hour or so here, its definitely worth a visit but it's not for everyone. If you struggle with walking they also have buggy hire! Wear shoes you don't mind getting sand on, I mean it's self explanatory but it took me by surprise 😆 I won't add many photos as you should all probably go look yourself!

It was a fun 40/50 minute stop along the way. The park is split into sections representing each continenent and some cartoons. Some of the sculptures were really impressive. There is a nice area with hammocks and seats which was great to relax. There is a small shop/ cafe as well but we didn't check it out.

This place was amazing and such a lot to see. Some of the characters were a little worse the ware with damage but we did go a week before they shut down for end of summer and for refurbishment of display. The detail involved was amazing. Still was well worth the visit and good value. Reduced price for senior citizens.

Great outdoor 'museum' with amazing sand sculptures. Highly recommend for a midday activity. Great for kids but also very entertaining for adults or young adults.

Great place to see around the world in about an hour, but quite a few sand sculptures with missing appendages, plus some outdated sand tributes, such as HM Queen Elizabeth depicting 2018 and not updated. However, that being said, you can request a ‘wrist band’ and then you can return in the evening for FREE to see the same sculptures lit up, which does give them a different appearance. That being said, for the entrance fee of €11.90 it is pricey and should really be updated to reflect changes. It doesn’t take two hours as the guide suggests, even at our very very slow pace we covered the lot in an hour. The staff are very gracious and helpful. There is plentiful parking right outside and FREE.

Basically worth a recommendation, but I would not go there during the day but at night, when everything is dark and the individual sand sculptures are brought to life by spotlights. Unfortunately, a few sculptures have been badly damaged by wind and rain, but about 90% are in good to very good condition. I would like to see a small station where you can try your hand with wet sand and a few tools in order to create some sculptures, then it would be five stars.

Was very nice, would recommend going to go and see but in the evening as it was very warm and not alot of areas for shade if your going with kids.

So many sand sculptures to see so plan on a couple of hours at a minimum. The paths are easily navigated and there is a snack bar to grab lunch. Very friendly staff and lots of parking. Enjoy!
