Probably one of the best beaches I've ever been. Went there on a sunny hot day, cozy beach that protects you from wind, crystal clear water. Just overall amazing spot, i really recommend i!

During summer from 10th of June to 30th of September the road is closed from 6 am to 8-9pm! Don't come by car. Take a taxi, uber, moto, or be prepared to park your car far away and walk! Else take the bus but take your mask. According to the locals this year 2022 the big parking of secil is closed. Else Wonderful beach with white sand and transparent water. Quiet during the week but quiet busy on weekends. Family, dogs etc.. So come early or at the end of the day :)

Stunning beach. We parked roadside and it’s a small walk down hill may be difficult for some with the rocks but I did it in flip flops and was fine... beautiful colour water Even I if it is freezing! One of the best beaches I’ve visited in Portugal so far

Great beach, not much space as a tiny stretch of sand but the views and atmosphere is well worth it. National park on your back with its green hill and the clear blue water ocean in front of you. Not to miss! Parking is a big problem...go early. Don’t litter!

Beautiful beach in Setúbal. To go there you can take the Fertagus train in Lisbon, stop in Setúbal (last stop) and then take the 4472 bus line (direction Praia do Creiro). You need to go down the stairs to arrive at the beach but it takes around 10 minutes only. And it's totally worth it.

Nice place. Been walking from Forte de Santiago do Outão and it took 35 minutes. Even serpentine road is narrow there is enough room for hiking, but please take extra precautions as some spots you really have to watch for passing cars. I really enjoyed the nature and tunnels painted definitely with love . If you carefull you will find a secret beach on the way ) I opened my swimming season on 21 of April this 2021 and water was + 18 . Perfect to enjoy!

Galapinhos and Galápagos are two beaches in the same cove. Galapinhos is a more beautiful beach, but its access is steeper.

My favourite beach near Lisbon. Crystal clear waters and beautiful white sand tucked away in a national park.

Wonderfully beautiful place!!! But attention, there is not an ease way to get there!!! You will climb down from the cliff in rocks path. My recommendation is not to go overloaded but still bring food and drinks since there is only one restaurant which is opened during the Summer time. Totally worth to go the way down there!

Very hidden, beautiful beach. The way down is quite an adventure and not for the faint of heart, but once you get down, it's worth it! Hardly any tourists and there is always space. You can also rent loungers, the price is okay. Lifeguards are also on site. Unfortunately, water is a bit cold, even in July.

Amazing, fine sanded beach. Turquose colored, clear water and a spectacular view from above. Paired with a cool bar and fair prices. Great combination and one of my favourite in Portugal

(Translated by Google) It is necessary to take a trail to reach this beach. The beginning of the trail is right where there is this small parking lot. If you always turn right on the trail you will arrive at the beach for the rabbits, if you always turn left you will reach gallops. They are very clean and very beautiful beaches. Great for camping.

Gorgeous beach at Parque Natural da Arrábida! Although you can’t access it by car during summer months, a short bus ride from Praia da Figueira will take you to its light green waters!

Ver nice beach, a bit though to access since you need to ‚climb‘ a bit down, but absolutely worth it. Not to many waves, very smooth sand and you’re also able to buy some drinks and ice cream from small shop - so you’re able to spend a whole beach there. Parking is a bit hard too find, there are also some where you need to pay. So we came by Bolt (Taxi).

I love this beach, it's my favorite! Parking will be the most difficult in this place, it is usually always full but you might be lucky and go sometime in the morning and find a space closer to the beach. I usually take a shortcut, I recommend wearing sneakers because they can slip but I know there is another entrance too but the shortcut takes less time, of course

Absolutely gorgeous beach. Especially not so windy. I can only recommend arriving by scooter, as you can drive almost to the beach. It is further to walk by car. Especially on busy days.

Such an amazing beach if you are able to walk down the steep rocky paths/stairs to get there. Gorgeous sea, although very cold, and beautiful sand. Avoid high tide as the beach shrinks substantially, with limited access to parts.

From a few reviews I've read before visiting this beach I thought it was kind of a hidden spot with few people. It's large and full of people during summer, but it is indeed very beautiful. You also get a restaurant which I can't tell it is good or bad.

(Translated by Google) Can paradise have bad access? It can. This one has two and which one is the worst, but it is like a paradise must be: when we arrive, it is well worth the effort. The Devil himself is getting there. But those who, with more or less sweat won the challenge, did not hesitate in choosing and Galapinhos, on the coast of Arrábida, was elected on Wednesday by the European Best Destinations website. One of the accesses, the most direct, is a “goat trail”, as Paulo Ribeiro, manager of the company that has held the concession for about 40 years, calls it. From the road to the beach, there are more than a hundred meters of very steep mountain descent, amidst vegetation in a kind of earth staircase and wooden logs. “A lot of people fall there because there is not even a handrail”, reports the dealer. Galapos to Galapinhos, but this passage is only possible when the tide is low or over the immense rocks next to the cliff already marked as at risk of collapse. With no access conditions for those with mobility difficulties, and certainly also for this reason, this pearl in Arrábida is frequented mainly by young people. Protected in a cove that the sea, at the mouth of the River Sado, excavated in the Serra da Arrábida, Galapinhos is a beach legally classified as semi-natural (Type III in the Coastal Land Management Plan, Sintra-Sado), that is, it is a “Beach equipped with conditioned use”. It has a concessionaire, with a small support bar - only with sandwiches and drinks -, 40 huts, sunbeds, four pedal boats for water rides, and three lifeguards. But even the concession exists only thanks to the proximity to the "sister" Galapos beach, which is much larger and has better access.

Impressive paradise at less than 1 hour drive from Lisbon. Sorrounded by a natural park area. I think it would be difficult to park in summer. I went in late October though, and we were lucky enough with such a great weather that we even had a bath!

This must be the best beach I've been to in Europe! Makes sense it was tagged as one of the best beach in europe a few years back! Very well maintained natural beach, not much establishments around so you gotta bring your own food and drinks. There's a store with drinks, ice cream, but not much food. You also need to hike a bit going down before reaching the place. Unfortunaltely public transpo is difficult because of the ongoing road construction, it would be best to secure you have a car!

Clothing optional by the looks of it and rightly so to be exposed to the sunshine and nature in a pristine setting. Easier going down the cliffside than up the pathways as they are not defined.

(Translated by Google) It is no longer a secret to anyone and this small part of Paradise, becomes really small, due to the number of people who come ... especially with the pandemic and when there is no respect for those who were already there and how hard it was to get there, stay on the beach. We do not respect the distance we must keep from each other. The years are gone when in spite of being able to drive closer to the beach and parking on the side of the road, when one was in the bay, between the sea and the mountains, there was tranquility and silence, cut almost only by the waves and singing of cicadas.
