(Translated by Google) A small beach located between Mariana De Cascais and Santa Marta Lighthouse. In front of the Palace of the Counts of Castro Guimarães - Revivalist architecture palace with a medieval tower - offers a beautiful view on the end of the Tagus as well as everything that surrounds the beach (Original) Uma pequena praia localizada entre a Mariana De Cascais e o Farol de Santa Marta. An excellent beach for children, you will find that the scenic setting, the enclosed environment and the lack of crowds produce the best family beach in Cascais.

The kids had a great time here. There’s lots of shade, which is great on a hot and sunny day. The place is really idyllic looking with the “castle”, the old bridge and the trees of the park. Unfortunately there’s a sewage pump that was very smelly when we were there. The beach is also quite littered with cigarette buds, pieces of glass and other trash. The water quality was poor when we were there. The tide was incoming and the water was a bit murky. I was also surprised how little fish, crab and other life I saw under water. Not sure if that has anything to do with the quality of the water.

(Translated by Google) A unique case in Portugal. Visit and realize the peculiarity of this beach. It will be interesting to visit between tides or see the differences between low and high tide. Too bad that a few years ago the Marina wall limited the view of the sea and the mouth of the beach. Required (Original) Um caso único em Portugal. Visitem e percebam a peculiaridade desta praia. Será interessante visitar entre marés ou ver as diferenças maré baixa e alta. Muita pena que há uns anos a muralha da Marina tenha limitado a vista de mar e a desembocadura da praia. Obrigatório

Fun to pass by and watch kids jump off the rocks. Not a lot of space to sit or sunbath, though. It’s by the road and heavily foot trafficked.

2 beach heads and rock formations to lay on. The waters were calm and due to how shallow they are, it is also warmer than the main beaches. Perfect weather for my day there.

This was my spot when I came to visit..I fell in love with it and was there every day. Chill, urban and relaxed and a bit out of the sun

  • 5/5 Diego C. 8 months ago on Google
This place immediately became my favourite in Cascais. The water is calm, clear, and not so deep, so you can easily swim or walk. It is mostly rocky, but there are a couple of sandy locations you can sit or lie down. The lighthouse makes the view even more beautiful. It is well maintained and gives the area a characteristic setting. The beach faces east (or south east?), So you can't see the sun setting, but you can watch the sunrise, which is amazing. There are two sides separated by the small rock bridge, one on the ocean side with the best view (picture) and the other one across with a larger sandy beach. Both are connected by the stream of sea water that showers them. Back on top of the bridge you will find a public water fountain (?) to wash sand off your feet so you can continue exploring. The lighthouse is less than 1 minute away walking.

Pretty to look at, but that‘s what all the swarming tourists think as well, taking lots of selfies. „Great for kids“, but certainly inaccessible with a pram/pushchair, especially on high tide when part of the stairs to access the beach get flooded.

It is a bit hidden and hard to get to.

Instagram worthy scenery. Water was cold but it was fun to swim from the lil cove and U-turn over to the sandy beach end.

(Translated by Google) Calm and pleasant beach, when you want to be more relaxed without many people around and not spend all day burning in the sun. It gets a little covered by what is tricky getting sunshine at some times, windy from certain hours (which makes it carry with the sand all the time if trying to be lying on the sand), and water level is not too high.

🫤 It was the worst bowling club I had ever been. Tracks had a lot glitches, one of them counted virtual ball throws, another didn't count any throws sometimes. They didn't give bowling shoes. The kitchen didn't work.

👍 It is a beautiful place, but a bit dirty. The wind blows a lot of leaves and such into the oceanic pool so it is kinda unpleasant to go in. Still, very pretty and there is a beach right by.
