This is a wonderful place to stay in Costa da Caparica! We went there for surfing and stayed at the 5th Element for a week. The place is very peaceful, cozy and relaxing. There is a spacious yard where you can chill in the sitting area or relax in an hammock. The kitchen is really nice and has everything you might need for cooking or just making a coffee. The rooms are very cozy and quiet and we slept very well. Richard and his wife are wonderful people and we had some great conversations. Also, they helped us a lot during our stay. Their awesome dog was always up for playing but he does not enter the sitting area. Everything is furnished so lovingly and it is very easy to unwind. We highly recommend this place. We rented our beginners' boards from a surf shop just around the corner and booked some surfing classes which are always held with just a handful of people max. The accommodation is just a 5 minute walk from the sea where you can surf as a beginner or - further out in the sea - as a more advanced surfer. Also just a few minutes walk from there you can find very good restaurants (we recommend the Mercado for really special food but any restaurant there is really good), cafes/lunch spots (like the Ahoy with amazing fruit juices, smoothie bowls, salads, sandwiches etc.), ATMs, surf shops, super markets and everything else you need. If you are going to Costa da Caparica we recommend staying at the 5th element.

I had a great time visiting a friend in Caparica and staying here made it even better. Ricardo and his family are very kind and they keep the place immaculate. The house had everything I needed and we took advantage of the open lounge area for reflecting on the awesome adventures we had that day. There are plenty of things to do in the area and the beaches and bars there are excellent. As an added bonus, this location served us well for taking day trips up and down the coast and it's a short drive or nice walk to Trafaria if you want to catch a ferry to Lisbon. Friendly, Clean, Affordable and close to everything you could ask for in a beach town. I hope to get back again someday!

Absolutly perfect, Mr Ricardo, and Mrs Francisca was a very good host, will come back for sure, I wish I could give more stars, and the location is just 2 minutes from the beach, tottaly recomend!

Great welcoming and attitude from the owner! He let us take his bikes around the coast - it was very nice of him. Place is quiet and coasy.

Great spot to chill by the beach. Service was great sadly the rooms not so awesome. Everything is a bit tiered and could do with a lick of paint.

A nice room in a nice villa in a nice location in Costa da Caparica. The owner is nice and you can borrow a bicycle available for customers if you want. It's about 10min away from the beach. Would come back.
