Besides the fantastic view of the ocean, the staff was very professional, attentive, and charming. We met our server for the first time, and she immediately felt like we had known each other forever. She made us feel like family. The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious. We ordered a huge sushi platter that included caviar on several pieces and presented itself as art. Dessert was suggested and very tasty. Cais do Sodré is an easy train ride to São Pedro do Estoril stop and then an 8-minute walk to the restaurant. Highly recommended! We are coming back again this month.

Went there last Saturday with my girlfriend at 3:30PM, the kitchen was already closed which we can understand. However the only thing they had to offer to eat was a mixed toast with bag chips. The reason why I’m writing this review is because I found the manager behaviour utterly unprofessional and grotesque. She was intimidating her employees, embarrassing them out loud in front of the costumers making a scene because she alleged they were being unprofessional with the costumers and the orders. This lasted for more than half an hour for sure, all the time I was there. The manager/owner (whoever she was) left clients waiting to pay (so she could continue to argue with her employees) while also being overly friendly with them in contrast to her behaviour with her employees. Really unnecessary and unprofessional situation. To add to this you pay 6€ for a toast that doesn’t even taste good. We know it’s a turistic place, but 6€ for the only thing to eat and it’s not good leaves me not wanting to come back because the only thing worth in this place is the view. Sad

We rolled in with a party of 10 and they were so nice and accommodating to us. We were impressed with the decor and ambiance, looking over the cliffs at Bafureira Beach. The restaurant was closing at 11pm and the staff accommodated our late arrival. The waitress spoke great English and the menu is available on the web in English as well. Having previously lived in Okinawa, Japan our sushi standards are high and Bafureira had very fresh selections and delicious rolls. A great wine list and crafted cocktails help complement the meal. Bafureira was definitely a great choice for sushi, ambiance and service!
