Excellent! Even if you are in Cascais for the day it's worth having a look at the exhibition and the building. It's also very near a lovely Park and at walking distance to/from the Cascais Beaches. It's a lovely 15 to 20 minutes walk.

for architect visitors: you can enjoy souto de moura's architecture pretty much without buying the ticket for the exhibition. the museum spaces are quite generic, and the two chimneys are over the café and the shop, that are free to visit. you can also walk around the building in the park.

Fantastic gallery. The architecture alone has been on our bucket list for ages. And the building is as impressive as the art works inside it. Paula's work is so wide and varied you're sure to enjoy some if not all of her works. The grounds are great for walking around and there is a small shop and cafeteria too.

Is fantastic the structure is definitely worth to see, I mean is amazing besides seeing a masterpiece of Eduardo Souto de Moura, world famous Portuguese architect, the building is amazing from may points of view, and well the insides depends if your taste in art, but I would pay a ticket for it!! Definitely go for it!!!

Great collection, and interesting works. However the curation and exhibition design could have been better. The building has impressive architecture on the outside. Inside however, the building falls a little flat.

The first striking thing you see is the intriguing architecture and the lovely grounds. Inside I loved the space and the works. I've never heard of Paula Rego but she won me over with her unique style. From realism to the weird and wonderful, it was interesting to see her work develop over the years and how they have evolved. A must see!

Worth checking carefully if it’s open. We travelled to visit on 31/12 and it was closed. The website said it was open Tuesday to Sunday except for a handful of specific days - one of which was 1/1. What it didn’t say is that you have to check with the town hall website and this year, the museums are all closed the day before the named holidays. So a wasted trip. If you enjoy escape rooms, you’ll love trying to work out if the museum is open.

A collection of paintings, drawings, and engravings of the contemporary artist Paula Rego throughout the 50 years of her artistic career. The building itself was designed by the architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, and it was Paula Rego who chose this architect. The two pyramid-shaped towers with their brilliant red color gives a unique characteristic to the building. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday: 10am/6pm Entrance: 5€ Cascais Residents: 2.5€

It's a wonderful place with a great coffee spot too. The only downside is the staff. They're unfriendly & surly & not at all helpful, which is a pity.

(Translated by Google) There is no way to evaluate. Today, Saturday, the museum is open with the seven rooms completely empty, and with huge staff circulating. It is between exhibitions, we were told. Poor explanation, which was missing from the site. It is inadmissible that there is not at least one room with exposure. What are the employees doing there? Are they there just because of the tapestry? There was no need. ? (Original) Não há como avaliar. Hoje, sábado, o museu está aberto com as sete salas completamente vazias, e com imensos funcionários a circular. Está entre exposições, disseram-nos. Pobre explicação, que estava ausente do site. The museum is very nice, but our best impression is the museum restaurant. The food is so delicious, the chef is amazing! Now we come again and again to try new dishes. The kitchen is open until 15:00.

The building was really beautiful and the works by Paula Rego on display were brilliant. When I visited, her 1970s work were on display.( they interchange them) As this museum is dedicated to her work, fans of her work and surrealism will totally enjoy it. Worth a visit.

The building and it's serroundings are impressive. As for the museum, I believe that this type of art is for particular people who like this specific kind of art (many wouldn't) . In addition, the museum is very small and the price is way too much in my opinion for the 10-20 minutes experience.

A wonderful space, exhibiting the works of Portugal's greatest living artist. The entry fee of €5 per person is spectacular value for money, and the adjoining cafe/restaurant is well worth a visit. Pro tip: have a bite to eat in the cafe before you stroll around the expansive exhibition. A well-fed body leads to an open mind.

I am a big admirer of Paola Rego. Great collection and amazing space, however, the personnel has really appalling manners. We have been literally chased out from the museum at 17.54 in the most rude and unwelcoming way by a lady called Mirrei. Very disappointing, as she spoiled a very good impression left by the museum initially.
