Found this place while trying to hide from the rain. The owner was very nice and genuinely was asking about our vacation, talking to us about Lisbon and Portugal. I had a cappuccino, orange juice and the cake of the day. All of them were tasty.

Excellent service, friendly staff, and delicious pastries! As an English speaking tourist, I definitely felt welcome on my three trips to the cafe while staying in Lisbon. I find it hard to believe foreigners are ripped off as the staff was quite accomodating to me. Coffee is superb and very affortable! Highly recommend arriving early to ensure you have the full selection of pastries. Highly recommend and would definitely go back if back in Lisbon!

Nice and cosy place with nice food and friendly staff. Can only talk about the Lusitana pizza i Had....hmmmm. Great, just super tasty and very nicely presented. I also tried the parmezana pizza...another great treat. Para it's the ideal place for a nice, tasty and decent meal in a cosy, welcoming place.

Nice place with very friendly staff. We tried sericaia - nice soft and moist cake - I recommend to try it next to pastel de nata.

I stood at the counter several minutes being pointedly ignored by staff. Eventually gave up and left. Food looked bad too, and it smelled funny. Very run down. two small updates: 1. the owner claims the place was busy. this is a lie. there were zero other customers trying to order. there were two people behind the counter, ignoring me, and that's all. 2. the owner bizarrely claims i'm a "low level customer". it's unclear where that nonsense came from, or how it could possibly be relevant. but, for the record... i'm a "c-level executive", and am more frequently found at the ritz-carlton vs. the slum where this shop is located. again, i don't understand why the owner thinks the "level" of the customer would excuse their behavior, but... if i could give them a negative star count, that one comment would be more than enough to justify it.

Not a pleasant experience. Quite overpriced and made out cappuccino out of a sachet. Won't go back again.

I was ripped off just for being a tourist. The guy serving, took it as an opportunity to take advantage. €6.80 for two 30 cent bread rolls, some honey and a plain coffee. Rip off. He was also handling meat without gloves, then touching other customers rolls without washing his hands. NOT EVERYONE EATS MEAT!!! WILL MOST DEFINITELY NOT RETURN.

👍👍 One of the oldest cafe in Lisbon, founded in 1905. You can choose from huge variety of sweets, bakery and pastry right at the showcase, and they all are fresh. Interior is amazing - feels like you got into antique library. Minimum bill would be around 15€

👍👍 We are Americans visiting and really enjoyed the pastries and coffee here. As a warning to other travelers, most the staff doesn't speak English and there us a ticket system to order. 👍 Nice spot, cool interior, busy at all hours and with a great menu. Juices and smoothies are good, food is hit or miss. Eggs and burger weren’t perfect, but we tried other dishes and they were fine. Reservation is definitely recommended.
