I am enthusiastic about how much commitment, help and loving care the team is doing for all the dogs. The dogs are friendly, it is clean and they have a varied, large area.

This shelter is doing an amazing job, keeping the dogs as free as possible. No single cages, but big kennels with multiple dogs and loads of dogs walking free. Never saw such a well organized and humane shelter. It would be helpful to bring someone who speaks Portugese. We came back with this amazing guy, thank you so much!

This is a well run shelter for dogs and cats. We picked up our 3rd rescue dog yesterday. This is the 4 th rescue we have had and they have all been fantastic. Unfortunately we lost our big castro labreiro to cancer nearly 2 years ago. Highly recommend this shelter.

We dropped off left over insulin and dog food as our 15 year old furkid passed away last week. Very well organized place. They take care of a lot of dogs and do a good job of it.

Shelter is always not the best place for a dog to temporary live but this is so much different. Dedication of the carers and volunteers can be evidenced there! If You cannot adopt any dog then just go and visit, take sweet dog for a walk and please donate!

Extremely helpful and very nice. The staff and volunteers there made the process of adoption of my dog so smooth and easy. The dogs seem to be taken care of very well. Very satisfied with my experience at this amazing shelter.

Milu is an angel encarnate. How she manages all of what she does is almost beyond the scope of human comprehension. The love she has for these animals is amazing, but her situation and the conditions she works under need to improve; she has little help, governmental or otherwise. Please help reduce the nr. of abandoned and homeless dogs in Portugal, and help Milu as best as you can by lightning her load and adopting one of the hundreds of animals up for adoption.
