Stunning and delicious at the same time! I would say this would be a must try in Lisbon! Not only is the decor and ambiance sexy and warm, the food is delectable. I happened to be passing by b/c I decided to do my own food tour around Lisbon. I would say this is already on my Top 5 list in Lisbon. What I tried: Chicken empanada Pistachio empanada Mocktail - Passionfruit with orange juice I slowly enjoyed the chicken empanada and it was so tasty, full of flavor, and moist. The potatoes were also cooked to perfection. I chose the pistachio for my desert and it had fresh and finely chopped pistachios blended into a sweet cream filling. Both were unexpectedly good. What I appreciated was the honesty of the bartender when I went to select the newest cocktail, he suggested I try another one because we haven’t perfected it just yet. Empanadas may look the same but they’re not all created equal. I’m sure the same goes anywhere else. Even the Argentinean woman next to me at the bar who makes empanadas at home expressed how delicious her truffle empanada was. Bottom line, don’t pass this one by just because you think it’s going to be just another empanada. Because it is not! To top it off, the service was just as amazing! Absolutely a must try even if you take it to go, you won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to go back again!

Hands down the best empanads I ever had (and i tried many different). The selection (vegan, vegetarian, non veg, sweet) is crazy. My favourites are the truffles, the spicy chicken and the pistachio. The employees are exceptionally friendly and attentive. I write only this review ablut spending so much time in Lisbon, so believe me when I tell you it was the best restaurant I encountered in this city.

Amazing! We had such a great time at this little bar / restaurant. The cocktail was so good and the empanada was very delicious. Highly recommend, would go there again anytime!

What an awesome place. Small but cozy atmosphere. Our waiter was wonderful and really friendly. The spicy empanada was just delicious especially with the chimichuri sauce. The cocktail and fresh orange juice were tasty as well. Highly recommend to everyone. Come early as space is limited.

We really liked the Empanadas, especially the traditional ones. The shop is super beautiful and got a unique style, but with very less space (about 6 seats at the bar and 8 seats with own tables). Service was good and we enjoyed our snack and vino verdhe here!

The design of the place is very clean, modern and comfy. The empanadas are super tasty and freshly made. They serve awesome coffee and any other beverage you desire depending on the time of the day. But the best thing are the people working there. I went in total 3 times there and experienced always a great service.

What a creatively beautiful space! I loved being here, how aesthetically pleasing is this gray, wavy stylish cave! I mostly came for drinks, and had 1 empanada which was quite tasty. One of my favorite places in Lisbon!

One of the best assortments of empanadas we’ve ever tried, we had a few from every category (vegan, veggie, meat and seafood.) An incredible atmosphere and attentiveness to detail. The drinks were also wonderful. Must try dessert— the frozen raspberries.

Probably the most aesthetic place I’ve seen in Portugal and that’s not easy as there are plenty of cozy and chic locations in Lisboa. I try Empanadas everywhere I go and see them and these were honestly one of the best ones I had outside of Argentina. We had 4 - 2 vegan, 1 vegetarian, 1 with meat - all were amazing, I was especially surprised that the vegan cheese was so good. And on top the service was great :)

Hands down my favorite place we ate after two weeks in Portugal. Ordered a handful of empanadas, even our kids loved them. I ordered Spicy beef and loved it. Great service, clean and fun ambience. Highly recommend!

Empanar is a lovely place for Argentinian-style Empanadas. The food is awesome and they offer various flavors for every taste, including vegetarian and vegan options. The savory options (we had grilled vegetables and truffle/onion) were very good, but the chocolate/hazelnut was even better! Will definitely come here again.

Best empanadas ever, had us dreaming about it all day the next day so we just had to go back for more. Tried lots of them amongst 3 of us and they were all incredibly delicious, bursting with flavours! A must try when in Lisbon!!

One of our favorite places in Lisbon! Our Airbnb was 1 minute walk from here and noticed the great restaurant design on our way to the apartment. Our trip in Lisbon consisted of 4 days and we came back here three times. Their empanadas are some of the best I've ever had. They are not greasy or fried. They are baked so they don't feel heavy or unhealthy. They are vegan friendly and their vegan ones were amazing! This place also had some of the best cocktails we've ever had as well. The people who worked here were so nice and great to talk to. Another great thing about this place is the location - you can see the famous street car going down the road.

Had the most amazing time at Empanar! Loved the food, ambiance, and the drinks were incredible! I highly recommend the caprese and both chicken empanadas, plus the delicious amarguinha cocktail.

We didn’t manage to take any photo of empanadas as they were eaten upon arrival out of the oven) Beef was scrumptious. The dough is made with plain/bran mixture flour. The service is perfect as well as the box for take away😍

A lovely find in a very scenic area. Great homemade empanadas, and delicious cocktails. We took advantage of their lunch deal - buy a cocktail, get an empanada free. A selection of 3 empanadas each made for a great lunch portion. Lovely, friendly service in a well designed space, and if you're heading to the area to take a pic with or ride on the Bica funicular tram, you should definitely stop by.

Some of the best empanadas I’ve had in my life, and with a huge variety of options - all delicious! I’ve been back various times to try more and I’ve yet to try one that I didn’t love. The staff is attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is very nice. 10/10 recommend!

BEST PLACE I'VE VISITED SO FAR HERE IN LISBON! The atmosphere is really really cute and the guy who served us was super kind! The empanadas are PERFECT! Juice and full of flavor! I suggest you the spicy beef one :) AND YOU CAN'T MISS THE FROZEN RASPBERRIES!!! The guy was really sweeet, he just gave us the recipe of the frozen raspberries

A slightly more fancy empanada cafe with an amazing selection of empanadas. Cozy setting and delicious food. We got to try the dessert empanada as well and it was so different and tasty

Its a nice space, could have done with some better music, found it a bit lacking in atmosphere, maybe the lighting is a bit bright, since they clearly care a lot about the aesthetics, that could be adjusted for evening, we were there about 9pm on Saturday (it was empty) Got the traditional beef empenada and the chocolate, nice presentation but the pastry was not good, almost chalky like cream cracker around the edge.

Cute small place. The owner(?) or the waiter is very kind. We only tried some of their sweet foods, and it was delicious. I recommend the pistachio empanada, it was sooooo tasty

We had some first rate cocktails (Sunny Lisbon) and delicious empanadas, mine was vegan and really tasty, my husband had the traditional and loved them too!

Some of the best empanadas I’ve had in my life! Freshly baked and full of flavour. Cozy, chilled, great atmosphere and great food! Super cute spot in the middle of the city. The decor is gorgeous and unique.  The service is incredible and friendly! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

It is our first time visiting Lisbon and we bumped into this lovely place. Excellent coffee, great food and amazing service. We felt very welcome and got great advice about what to visit on the rest of our trip in Portugal.

Stopped by for a light dinner and really enjoyed these empanadas. My favorite was the spicy meat and the traditional chicken. The cocktails were also wonderfully prepared and very tasty. Compliments to the chefs!
