The location is incredible for visiting Lisbon, right in the center but in a quiet area since the street does not lead anywhere. I was in a single room and despite being small it was very comfortable since I was only going to sleep. The bathroom has a great design and the shower is appreciated for working so well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and by the way the WiFi works very well

My friend and I spent 4 nights here. All in all it was ok. However we weren’t entirely happy with a couple of things. The room wasn’t really clean as we arrived (black hair in the bathroom and on the floor all over the place) and wasn’t cleaned properly the whole time we stayed. Only the bed was done. Another thing we didn’t enjoy was that we didn’t have access to WLAN in our room at all, it wasn’t even shown. The communication on the phone or via WhatsApp was ok. A pick up to the airport with a cab was arranged for us. The location is great.

Our stay at Bairro Alto Music Guest house was okay. Leading up to the trip, communication with Filipa was great. I had booked our stay in the Brahms room. The day before we arrived, she contacted me to let me know we’ve been upgraded to the Mozart room, which we should be happy with because it is the biggest suite they have. Initially we were happy about that, however we are not sure it was the best upgrade. We were given the entry code a few days before our arrival but it didn’t work. Luckily I contacted Filipa via WhatsApp and she replied in a few minutes with a new code. There is an issue with the keypad. It is very hard to press the numbers. The place is clean and you can tell it has been recently renovated to be modern but the Mozart room had several issues. Yes it was the biggest in terms of square footage but it was at the top floor of the building so the ceilings were very low and slanted because of the roof of the building. I am only 5 feet tall and I found myself having to walk around being worried I’d hit my head on the ceiling. I did a few times! My other concern is the bathroom. Again it was clean but because of the ceiling height, there was no shower head. The shower only had a handheld stick which made it inconvenient. The room was okay. There were things missing like a fridge or microwave that would have benefited from being in the room. Location was good and they had daily cleaning services. Looking at the photos of the other suites, even though they are smaller I think would be better than the Mozart room. I would take a smaller room with a full shower and taller ceiling over what we had.

Communication with the reservations department was fantastic. They provided all the info we needed and right away! The guest house is very central, very clean and very new. We particularly appreciated the coffee machine with pods replaced every day

When I first visited, it was at night, so it was a little scary and the smell coming from the alley wasn't a very pleasant start, but when I woke up during the day and looked around, the location was really good. The remodeled bathroom was also clean and luggage can be stored upon request.

A great place to stay in Bairro Alto! It's centrally located near all the tourist attractions, public transportation, restaurants, and bars, making it the perfect place to explore the city. The property has been completely renovated, and the rooms are very comfortable, clean, and stylish. Filipa and her staff are highly efficient and helpful.
