Our stay at Palacio Ludovice in Lisbon was like being in a tile museum. Our room had awesome blue tiles that made it feel special, almost like an artwork. The hotel is all new and shiny because they fixed it up. The bathrooms were good, and everything felt fresh. The people working there were super nice, always making sure we were happy. The only thing is, breakfast wasn't my favorite, but everything else was really, really nice. The best part was the hotel's spot – right in the middle of everything in Lisbon (they also have a double glazed widows, which is great protection of the loud noise as during the night it was very very loud). Nice hotel!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Palácio Ludovice, and I must commend Goncalo for his exceptional hospitality. Despite not being a guest, he graciously showed me around the hotel, including the rooms, going above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable experience. The hotel exudes elegance and charm, and Goncalo's personalized tour truly enhanced my visit. Additionally, the free wine tasting on Wednesdays at 6:30 is a delightful touch, open to all guests and visitors. I highly recommend a visit to Palácio Ludovice for its outstanding service and ambiance.

Superb! One of the best hotels we've stayed in. Breakfast contains a huge variety of local produce, the mini pain au chocolates were to die for, had about 6 every morning. Cooked breakfasts also excellent. Rooms were large well looked after and the design was very well thought out. Complementary evening wine tastings which were fun and interesting. Bar area and restaurant looks and is excellent, high quality produce and at a fair price. My only gripe was that we mentioned it was our honeymoon prior to arrival and it wasn't mentioned at all during our stay. And it is left to the guests to ask for recommendations in the area. At other hotels this is usually more forthcoming. But it's a personal preference. The nibbles and chocolates you receive each day are also a lovely touch!

What an experience it has been to stay at this hotel. The staff is kind, helpful and always available to help you with any question that may arise, their restaurant and activities recommendations are spot on and you can really feel that your satisfaction is their priority. The rooms and amenities are spotless, decorated with taste and are designed to fulfil your needs. Finally, the breakfast is one of the best I had in my experiences of luxurious hotels. Huge variety of pastries and juices, in addition to on demand eggs or pancakes (I strongly recommend the egg Benedict). During my stay at Palácio Ludovice, I have learned the real meaning of what a palace should be, and I know where I will stay next time I visit Lisbon.

This was hands down the best hotel stay of my life. Every single one of the staff was amazing (special shout out to Claudio), the rooms were comfortable, the location is perfect, there were pastries and wine every night when we returned to our room, and you could tell the staff really enjoyed their jobs and went out of their way to make our stay special. I can write a 10 page essay on all of the little details that made the stay great, but I would say that if you're reading this, just go ahead and book it. The only downside is that I'm not sure any other hotel could live up to the experience I had here :)

Amazing hotel! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The entire hotel is gorgeous, perfectly appointed, and the suites are lovely. Staff was amazing. We arrived and I was not feeling well. Immediately we were given a very early check in and upgraded to a gorgeous suite. We got unexpected treats, excellent service, and thoroughly enjoyed the room. All sorts of perks are included as well. Will never stay anywhere else in Lisbon.

Very impressed with this hotel, room, staff, and service! I don’t typically write reviews but the staff here deserves an applause! We planned a last minute trip the Lisbon and wanted a dine at a restaurant that typically gets booked out. Raquel at the front desk tried every day to get us a reservation and was able to get us one on our second day in Lisbon! The rooms are beautiful, bar downstairs is on point, and the entire staff will take care of every detail of your stay. Oh last but not the least, location is great! Highly recommend booking your stay at this hotel!!

We had a great time. We travelled with an infant (<10 mos) and we don’t drink—yet they accommodated for all these things with a wonderful non-alcoholic work around and amenities for the baby. The room and service was top notch. Additionally, the included breakfast was robust and delicious. The staff and their responsiveness to our needs was very high and professional. Special shoutout to Tiago and Claudio. If you are planning a visit here, make sure you ask for them specifically—they will take care of you. Pedro is also solid and will guide you if the others are off that day. And if Ines is working the front desk, you can rest assured that you are in excellent hands! We will be staying here again when we are back in Lisbon.

The perfect hotel, in the perfect location. Beautiful accommodations in a historically significant building. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating - from the concierge to the bar and waitstaff, housekeeping, etc. Every interaction was pleasant. The room was clean and luxurious. Breakfast was terrific. Can’t recommend enough. Shout out to the Daniels at the bar and the Pedros in reception.

The most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff, the smell, the food, the interiors, the rooms, the bathrooms - the list goes on. The hotel is in a great location and you truly need to visit this place to experience luxury in Lisbon. Thank you, thank you, thank you for an amazing experience and to all the team. We can’t wait to come back.

We got married in Lisbon, and many of our guests stayed with us at the Ludovice. A beautiful hotel, which is immaculately finished. But more importantly, the staff were phenomenal. There is a culture of help and a “can do” attitude. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Absolutely fantastic time! Rooms were beautiful and the view was out of this world. Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was phenomenal. Rooms were constantly being cleaned and we were gifted cookies and port wine twice throughout our two night visit. I couldn’t recommend the place enough. We will be back!

We spent a few nights at this gem of a riverfront hotel. The staff including Hugo, who helped us bring our bags from the parking lot several blocks away in the pouring rain, with a smile on his face and love for his job. Francisca, the concierge who helped us book tickets so we could avoid lines and get the best prices. And of course, Fabio ~ the mixologist extraordinaire ~ who kepts us laughing and thirst free at the downstairs bar. It poured buckets while we were in Porto, but the staff of this hotel were so great to get us into our room before check in (we were soaking wet getting there) and taking amazing care of us the entire visit. Breakfast was fabulous and RIB restaurant was excellent as well. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the rooms - the carpet needed refreshing, but the bed, bath and balcony were spotless and comfy! Listen, the location cannot be beat, however, if you are driving, you will have to park several blocks away ($50 euro/day) and contact the front desk for help with bags. It's not an easy walk with any amount of baggage. We were so thankful for Hugo helping us up the steep cobble stones with our large suitcase. Don't let that deter you - everything is steep in Porto, but it would have been nice to be able to valet or at least drop bags directly. Being a unesco site doesn't allow for this, although taxis and tour cars were allowed to drive right to it, so maybe rethink a rental car out of convenience. We will def be back on our next visit to Porto!

We absolutely loved this hotel! The interior design of this place caught my eye upon entering the hotel. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Our room was very spacious and super clean, and the bed was the most comfortable that we stayed in during our whole time in Portugal. We met the very knowledgeable sommelier and ended up being the only people at the wine tasting, which I would highly recommend. We ended up having dinner there, which was a solid choice, and breakfast was just as yummy with lots of food to choose from. I would totally stay here again!

What a beautiful hotel. Ludovice truly embodies the restored beauty of Lisbon’s aesthetic, which is what initially piqued our interest. Our room was incredibly spacious, had multiple balconies with a view towards the Miradouro, and impeccably designed. Included in your stay, you’re welcomed with a Port wine of your choice and a wine tasting/history of Portuguese wine presentation; which was awesome. The location is convenient to many bars and restaurants both up and down the hill. Pedro was quite possibly the kindest person we’ve met in Lisbon, and Raquel was also very helpful and nice. Highly recommend.

We were staying at a hotel nearby but because of a sudden thunderstorm, we took cover in the archway, just by the entrance of Palacio Ludovice. The young black receptionist came outside and rudely told me, my partner, and another old lady that was taking cover in front of the hotel that we had to go back in the rain as we were not allowed to take cover in front of his hotel. A word of advice from a hotel GM with 10 years experience: you work in the industry of hospitality, you take such opportunities to take people inside, offer a coffee/tea, and showcase your beautiful amenities and service so that next visit to Lisbon I would be inclined to stay there. But he thought it more appropriate to kick old ladies in the rain. Disgraceful attitude that does not belong in this industry.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is helpful, pleasant and courteous. Each evening they provide a gift of sweetness when they open your bed. Each morning the breakfast was tasty. As a senior, the location was wonderful. The area is lively, young and vibrant. I plan on returning

From start to finish this hotel was divine. Beautiful finishes and preservation of the structure of the palace - comfortable. Amazing views! Pedro assisted with reservations and found us an even better dinner spot when the one we requested wasn’t available. Joao helpful and accommodating. Cannot recommend highly enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel is absolutely incredible, my favorite in Lisbon! The palace is amazing and they take care of every single detail. The location is perfect for sightseeing, all the staff is super nice, they have amazing wine tastings every day and I highly recommend having dinner at their restaurant Federico, the food is delicious!

I have little to add to what is already been listed in many of the previous reviews, but I must add my voice of appreciation for this place. We were there with a group last week, and everything about our stay was lovely--the rooms are spacious and light, the area is lively late but the windows are very solid and noise-dampening, the breakfasts were ample. But my very favorite part of the whole experience was the staff--both the front desk and bar staff were gracious, hospitable, generous of their time and expertise, and just fun to interact with. Thank you for making my first trip to Lisbon so great.

We were not guests, instead coming for an impromptu meal with a nearly 2 yr old in tow. Straight away the reception was warm and pleasant, and appropriate recommendations made for our son (with allergies to consider also). All the staff super helpful, friendly and charming - we were both so impressed we hope to make another visit before we depart Lisbon. The food was excellent, we generally have high expectations in terms of taste profile and presentation and these were exceeded on this occasion by the chefs who also came to check on us and on the meal for the little one. This is the kind of experience you tell others about - firmly on our list of recommendations for Lisbon.

An Amazing Stay !!! The Ludovice Hotel is a magnificent palace located in the heart of the city, in front of one of the best point of view in the city, facing the Saint George Castle. The history of the building gives to the stay another dimension and the decoration in the room was pure refinement. The staff is very welcoming and always helpful. The restaurant patio is breathtaking and the breakfast diverse and absolutely delicious. It is definitely the best place to stay in Lisbon and will make your Portuguese experience unquestionably amazing.
