My go-to for tours is Airbnb Experiences, but they didn't have anything similar to what Portugal Tours 4 Two offers. I love Lisbon, but it was time to mix up my days a bit and head out of the city. I was picked up by Iain at my Airbnb in Lisbon. He drove me to Cascais, pointing out numerous locations on the way. We continued up the coast to Estoril, Guincho, Cabo da Roca and finished up at Praia da Cresmina. There were frequent stops to explore the different locations. I loved every single place! Finally, at Praia da Cresmina, I was able to see some stunning sand dunes and watch the sunset on a secluded beach. Iain packed a blanket, raspberries, and sparkling water (because I don't drink wine or any alcohol) for me to enjoy as I watched the sun go down. Throughout the afternoon and evening, Iain recommended SO MANY restaurants, activities, and gave me the most useful information. He even sent me links to restaurants he recommended via WhatsApp. I am so thankful that Portugal Tours 4 Two also accommodates solo travelers. Do not hesitate to book something- there are different tours depending on your interests!

Don’t hesitate to book Lain! He picked us up directly at the airport after our overnight flight so we could start to enjoy our first day vacation right away. Had a fabulous tour of the coast with a great lunch spot and café in the afternoon. We also booked a second custom tour to Coimbra with a stop at the caves, as well as the convent at Tomar on our way. He is an excellent driver and the car is very comfortable. An excellent tour guide for your experience in Portugal!

Iain’s tour was a highlight.of our first visit to Portugal! After picking us up from a location convenient to our lodging, he treated us to a fun and sun filled day riding up the coast, walking on the boardwalk at Cascais, and exploring preserved landscapes and dunes along the coast. We enjoyed a coffee and conversation on the way north, and we dined tapas-style at lushly landscaped restaurant. Try Iain’s suggestions for lunch and you will not be disappointed! We stopped for photos at the westernmost point of continental Europe and waved to family and friends back in the USA. We also stopped by the casino in Estoril where Ian Fleming got inspiration to create James Bond. As promised, Iain customizes each tour to his guests’ preferences, and makes good suggestions for those like us who are too new here to know what we should see —- the word ‘bespoke’ is now a part of my vocabulary. Thanks, Iain.

Perfect Way to see a more diverse side of Portugal. Having been in Lisbon and Porto on business, and not having the time to plan my own tour to explore a little more of Portugal, I contacted Iain to see if he could accommodate my schedule on the 1 open day that I had available. Iain was amazing, once we confirmed the date, he worked with me in the days leading up to it, checking on my timing, as well as confirming what I was interested in seeing and experiencing. The day of the trip, I met up with Iain at the specific time and place we agreed on, so there was no stress or worry leading into the day. The trip was fantastic, as other reviews pointed out, the locations that Iain took me to were the out of the way views, the rustic spots where you have your own space and time to let it all sink in. In terms of company, Iain is the perfect guide. He's talks when you want to, and leaves you to your own as well. Very comfortable, as was more of a travel companion than a tour guide. It's a long review, and I don't think I have done the experience justice. Portugal Tours for Two (or One in my case) is a highly recommended experience.

Our visit was really interesting and Iain had a wealth of historical information to share with us that complimented the experiences we enjoyed. Throughout our few days Iain knew exactly where to take us to according to the weather, so that we embraced incredible sunsets at Moinho Dom Quixote with breathtaking views. The tile painting was an utterly fascinating tour and very friendly and welcoming. We had wine tasting at JM Fonseca that was a perfect ending to our stay. This visit to Portugal will remain with me for many years and I would highly recommend it to others.

We had a wonderful day with Iain. This is our first trip to Portugal, and we had a specific destination in mind (Cascais) for our tour. In talking with us, Iain suggested a couple of other spots in addition - which ended up being really perfect. We enjoyed coffee on the beach, a superb lunch and fantastic company with really informative conversation. You'll be in excellent hands with Iain!

My bestie and I were visiting Lisbon for a week and contacted Iain through GetyourGuide for a private coastline trip in a convertible ( 2 words caught our eye, convertible and private). Little did we know that we would be meeting a fine English gentleman who not only made the coastal trip amazing , he basically helped us plan the rest of the stay in Lisbon. He’s more a travel companion and hopefully will always remain a friend and we just had 2 amazing tours with him. He will also take you to a secret amazing restaurant with breathtaking views. There was zero stress with the 2 trips we had with him, he’s always contactable and arranged the trip suiting our time and suited the trip according to our liking. This review does little justice to the amazing time we spend on the beaches and the lovely rides we had cross country and along the amazing Portugal coastline but my last words are that he’s highly recommended and you will have a fantastic time in and around Lisbon if you book his tours. Another important point to mention is that his price point is very reasonable as the tours at the hotel were double the price.

Me and my wife booked the day trip with Iain before arriving to Portugal. It was an amazing experience, Iain sent us the itinerary in advance. It wasn't rushed at all, we enjoyed every place and we found this trip very useful to plan our next days in Portugal. If it wasn't for him I'm sure we would have missed all these places during our holiday in Portugal. Iain is a great guide, very friendly and a great conversation starter. Looking forward to return and get another trip with him. Definitely a must-get trip if you get around Lisbon and you want to know where to start from.

We took Iain's "Big Sights Tour" and the sights were even bigger than he promised! As American expats living in Lisbon for almost 3 years, we thought we knew the area, but from the comfy seats of a lovely French convertible car we found the experience to be really remarkable. From the moment we were picked up in central Lisbon and whisked along the coast road, we knew we were in for a treat. We passed through beach town after beach town, just yards away from the gleaming blue waters of the Rio Tejo as it became the Atlantic Ocean. After passing through the famous resort town of Cascais, we stopped to check out the "Mouth of the Inferno," various wild chasms that the Atlantic waves have cut into the coastline. After that, the luxury villas and condos disappeared and we were in the truly wild coastline of Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The park is truly wild with little evidence of human activity. One of the highlights was stopping at the Cresmina Dunes proper sand dunes overlooking the windy Atlantic waves. The highlight of the day was lunch at a "secret" hilltop restaurant that, I think, is best kept secret from the tourist hordes (you'll have to take the tour to find out the name). Amazing food and views. Be sure to order the Brazilian cheese bread. One of the things that makes these "4 Two" tours special is that Iain seems to be able to customize them, sometimes on the fly. The subject of the Convento dos Capuchos came up in conversation, and Iain was able to fit in a visit just for us. We thought the price list was very fair for what is offered. For just a little more than a group tour in a large bus, we got to see twice as much and have photos and memories that will last for a lifetime. Renting a car would have cost more and we would have seen much less. On a practical note, Iain is an excellent driver and knows these roads like the back of his hand. The Renault convertible is comfy and fun. We felt in good hands the entire day.

We had an amazing day in Óbidos with Lain. He picked us up from the Lisbon airport upon our arrival from Porto, and the weather was perfect for a ride in a convertible! He shared much of the history of Portugal during our drive and included some very interesting facts about the Portuguese culture. He was there to take care of whatever we needed, including pictures which he sent to us after the trip. He also shared some great dining recommendations for our last couple of nights in town. Even after the trip, he checked in with us to wish us a safe return home. We would recommend this private tour to anyone who plans to visit this area of one of the most beautiful countries in Europe!

Husband and I had nice long drive to several places along the coast for a sunset, we met up at Time Out Mkt at 5pm and were gone for 4 hours. We had a lovely time on the beach with a cooler of Pink Fizz, strawberries and blankets to sit at Azenhas do Mar. We stopped in Estoril and Boca da Inferno, as we had been to Cascais and Cabo da Roca the day before. Ian is a very good driver and gave us some info on the areas we were driving by and stopping at. Truly enjoyed this special experience.

We had a wonderful and relaxing day with Iain. We were able to personalize our trip to what we wanted to see an do. He was kind, patient, and helpful. Book a day or more with Iain. We hope to see him again soon.
