An unexpected surprise. I found a booking on a busy weekend in Belfast. It’s well outside the city center in a beautiful area. The food is excellent; I had a very tasty steak with a pint of Guinness and finished with a delicious Irish coffee. They also have an outdoor beer garden. I’d highly recommend and would definitely go back

Lovely little pub, amazing food, and friendly staff. We came here for a birthday dinner. We had drinks in the beer garden, and a delicious meal. Dog friendly, and family friendly too!

We goto Bob Stewart’s quite regularly and we love it. It’s amazing in the summer, sitting in the beer garden with live music etc. The atmosphere is always brilliant and the food is always really fresh, tasty and good quality. Staff are always friendly too and are very attentive. I would definitely recommend trying here.

Amazing food and service. If you’re driving, go for the Guinness 0.0, it is really good. There’s a special menu at lunch with good prices. The sausage with mashed potatoes is quite delicious.

Absolutely lovely place. Very warm and welcoming we went for steak night & bottle of wine to share. Very friendly and busy but not crammed, great atmosphere and staff. Everything from pint to cocktails. I'll definitely be back.

Fabulous! Our first time there, we had walked down the river from Belfast and saw it on the map at Drumbeg. Honestly couldn't fault anything - the place is really charming, staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful, and the food was absolutely amazing! Will definitely be back :)

I have never experienced anything like that in my life. The beer garden is perfect and welcoming, when we went inside for food it was like walking into a different establishment. Every member of staff outside was wearing mask, and inside no one was, which I don’t understand. Wasn’t a big deal to me just strange. The girl with the fringe (Claire I think) needs to reconsider her career choice, as in working with the public, because everything that was asked for, which was very little, was like asking for an organ. My girlfriend asked for a side of ketchup and the waitress actually sighed, rolled her eyes and grunted. Maybe she was having a bad day, but basic manners are free. We ordered the steak sandwich and the scampi. it was 3pm and neither of us had eaten all day and neither of us could find the insides to finish. I flipped the steak sandwich over and half the bread fell off because the ‘onion jam’ was cremated. Still looking for the ‘Mayo’ that was described in the menu. It was the dryest thing I have ever tried to eat. The onions rings must have been 10x dipped in oil. My girlfriend said the scampi was dry, but I did not try as I was trying to digest the over cooked dry ‘steak’. At least the chips were edible. The waitress when collecting plate, not Claire thankfully, asked how everything was. I said terrible. The guy in the red shirt (maybe manager) offered to take the scampi off the bill, it wasn’t even what I, the person who said terrible, had ordered. I I insisted I pay. I still have the burnt taste in my mouth. Word of advice don’t give this establishment the benefit of the doubt and trust the reviews.I have been all over the world and never had worse service or food in my life. If I hadnt seen such bad reviews of the owner I would have complained but what’s the point. Lesson learnt

Have to credit the customer service here, were very helpful and welcoming. Cannot speak on food as we didn't eat but a lovely setting for drinks. Shows live sport. Pricing maybe a bit excessive as its outside the city but the setting is magnificent - will return.

Great food in a beautiful location almost completely ruined by them blasting 80's bangers at an uncomfortable volume both inside and out.

£6.30 a pint whilst vat still only 5 percent is pure greed. Compared to £4.25 in Millies. Food has went downhill since takeover, fish was greasy and fries hard and undercooked, not worth £16. Partners Cheese burger underwhelming and nit great quality. Kids meal was decent, chicken looked good and big portion and Decent value. Pub building Is beautiful and outdoor area nice. Need friendlier staff, better pricing and someone checking on the quality produced from the chefs. Could and should be a lot Better

Turned up tonight with my wife and three grown up children looking forward to a wonderful celebratory meal for my sons 30th birthday. I booked on line the night before and so all was in order. However on arrival, I had only booked for two people. Note that it was 7pm on a Saturday night and the place was very busy. The mistake was mine but without any fuss whatsoever we were assured that we could and would be accommodated. After a few minutes we were lead to our table and looked after by wonderful staff. The food was divine, the 10 was exceptional and we could not have asked for more. Superb experience and I "thank you" for being so helpful. What a great place and see you again so. PS. I WILL booked for the correct number of people next time I promise. 10 out of 10.

My first visit to Bob Stewart's in a couple of years and the new beer garden is a welcome addition. Inside retains its old, country charm however you'll be paying more than city-centre prices for a pint.

Vegan meal tasteless! Refund given without quibble but a waste of precious time for my colleague and myself. Luckily other restaurants not too far away with an excellent menu.

Booked a last-minute Sunday lunch date. Food was unbelievable as always. Our servers were attentive & never let our glasses become empty. Food was top-notch, fresh & extremely filling. 2 course £25 & 3 courses £30.

Crackin wee spot. 400 years old. Oldest pub in Belfast. My first time in it. We went to the steak night on a Tuesday. Have to say was well impressed with everything. Food service atmosphere. I was expecting it to be a wee bit snobby n we were just down from doing divis mountain so weren't exactly dressed to impress lol. Was very relaxed and welcoming. Maybe not the cheapest but not overly expensive and you really do get what you pay for in here. Highly recommend

Wasn't sure what to think before going here given some negative reviews, however I loved it. I went with three friends for lunch recently and had an excellent time. We all enjoyed our food and drinks and had a great time. It is a little on the pricey side but that wouldn't be an issue for me personally. Good location with a sizeable car park at the back. Pub itself is dripping with character and the staff are very friendly. I will be back. Highly recommended!

I ordered the Portavogie prawns. They were the smallest prawns I have ever eaten, and I am not a young man, so I have had my fair share over the years. I also noted that the meal consisted mainly of pasta. Service was prompt and friendly even though the place was busy.

Was here for the Company Christmas Dinner. Our table was booked for 15:30 which was good as it wasn't busy. However with this what can happen is you are forgotten about especially if your in the backroom. Now the best bit the food, from my soup starter and the turkey an ham main and all the trimmings it spot on so much so I hadn't room for dessert!!

Great food, great service, fantastic surroundings. A bit out of the way but worth it. Highly recommended for the inside and outdoor. Food is tasty, fresh and plentiful. Visited with my sisters who loved it.

Recently attended a small wedding reception, and all I can say is everyone had a wonderful day,the place is lovely old worldly charm, the views overlooking the place are amazing, the food was delicious, lamb or chicken, and everything including dessert was homemade, good quality wine and proseco provided on all tables. We were allowed to provide our own music so we were able to dance, the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us,I would highly recommend this place for weddings or any sort of celebration, will definitely be back.

A good selection of meals including three vegetarian dishes. All four of us had a great meal, two had meat, one had fish and one vegetarian and there were no complaints. Quick service, good food at a reasonable price and pleasant service.

Went for lunch as a birthday treat. Warm homely place, food was great we had chicken burgers and pie of the day, would have liked to have had potatoes served with the pie but that's my preference overall it was great with friendly staff.

We booked for Sunday lunchtime. My partner had the steak and I the roast beef dinner. Both meals were beautiful. The table service was fabulous. An amazing dining experience. We will definitely be back. First class.

This was my second visit here. The first time I visited, the food was outstanding, the customer service friendly, and the atmosphere cosy and comfortable. This time however I was disappointed 😞 the food was just ok but expect higher quailtity for the prices and limited choice of menu. The staff where unfriendly to the point of having a lack of manners or patients for the customers, everything seemed like to much hassle for them. And they also give me the impression that they couldn't wait until we left, as they collected the plate nearly as soon as we took our last bite. The atmosphere inside was unwelcoming and not like what it use to be. The reason I give 2 stars was because the addition of the beer garden is a plus and they made and effort with the Halloween decorations. Unfortunately I don't think I will be back in hurry tbh which is a crying shame compared to my previous trip. 😢
