Friendly and polite staff. Better calamari than Dundee's in Cairns! Chips, potato scallops and dim sims all cooked to perfection. So grateful to have this shop on my doorstep.

The burgers taste amazing, the fish is always cooked to perfection with batter that doesn’t fall off, and the chips are perfectly salted. The southern fried chicken burger is my favourite item on the menu definitely give it a try

We just enjoyed the most amazing take away if calamari and chips. Calamari pieces were large and so delicious, with a slice of fresh lemon yum! Chips were also really good we chose chicken salt. Thanks Jolly Rogers, new customers and will definitely be back. Love good local business ✨

Ordered through uber. Did not get the entire order. I ordered four portions of fish bites (expecting 3 pcs per portion), instead got four tiny bites. Guess that can happen, but not great when you have 6 mouths to feed and it turns up 20 minutes after the latest possibly time that uber estimated (and 40 mins after the original estimate). We were able to get a refund through uber. Wasn't uber's fault. Poor uber team were waiting ages. Also very expensive generally for what we got. But that could be my kiwi bias. Got a phone call the next day from the place extremely apologetic. Doesn't change our experience though.

The chips were crunchy, the fish was fresh. The service was friendly and the seats comfy. What more could you ask for 😊

Would like to see this place to do well but it’s been pretty average the last two times. Very little fish on the fish burger and then I got a box of burnt chips. For $43 for two burgers and some chips, this is pretty average and disappointing when it’s a small family treat. Please take a little more care as I’d like to continue to support you.

First time visit today and super impressed. I ordered the fish burger (Hoke) with a side of chips, the fish was a generous in size. The batter was very tasty as well with a fantastic crunch. The fish was cooked to perfection, neither over cooked nor undercooked. It flaked well and held its juiciness without turning to mush under the batter. Will have to visit there again soon to get photos next time. From what I've heard from others, the rest of their menu items are absolute top notch as well. Service was polite without being over the top. Highly recommend!

Waited 25 mins in an empty shop for 2 lukewarm grilled fish that looked like they had been dropped, tiny portion of soggy chips and what should have been an Asian noodle salad but turned out to be a container of shredded purple cabbage to takeaway. All for the sun of $40. Take your money and time elsewhere. We should have known that on a 30 degree day, an empty fish and chip shop isn’t winning any prizes.
