It's a nice well maintained course with a decent pro shop and club house. Unfortunately what let's the place down is the driving range, specifically the balls. £9 for a bucket of 90 very old cracked very poor quality golf balls that easily knock 10-20 yards off your range. Multiple times I've had balls split apart after hitting them. They have ball flight trackers equipped to each bay but its pointless using them with such poor range balls. If it wasn't for the awful old balls I'd definitely up my rating.

Fantastic new resource installed at Clays. Tracking cameras and screens making the range experience really immersive. We’ll done. Thanks very much.

Nice tree lined parkland course with some tight fairways. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition and value at £25 ⛳️

Love the new computerised system they have. It tells you how far, how high, how fast and what degree the ball lands and takes off at. Only down side is the price went up

Fantastic thanks for allowing me the opportunity to compare demo drivers at no cost vs my own. Given Ping G430 Max, Wilson Dynapower to compare to my own Callaway XR. Then allowed to swap Wilson for Cobra Aerojet. Confirmed my thinking towards Ping. However due to fatigue agreed I'm better returning for another test or book a £40 fitting to get the right Driver, set up and shaft. CERTAINLY RECOMMEND TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS

1st time playing 18 holes really good course lots of different challenges not all spack it as far as you can Got lost trying to find the 6th did not know you have to cross the road so mayb some more or better signage Small point but had no idea and had to wait for someone to play the 14th to help me. Overall really nice welcoming environment to play golf Recommended

Great set up the course was in fantastic shape, greens tricky, different speeds..

Lovely golf course to play. But if you want to just give the ball a thump or test yourself, the driving range is all mod cons. Then, to follow stop and have a pint or something to eat.

Course was lovely, in great condition, helpful staff and friendly members. If you can hit the ball straight off the tee (turns out I can't), you'll have a great round:)

A decent course, good holes it rained a bit but held water well. Would recommend to any level of golfer and isn’t the longest course but is full of action and different shots. 👍

Top class, the course is looking and playing really well at the minute, recently tined and sanded greens but rolling lovely and nice and receptive. Driving range is great and the shop has everything you need for a round plus ordered some shoes in that weren't in stock for pick up the next day.

No hassle driving range walk on. Just wish the ball dispenser took contactless.

The range has been refurbished and now has Toptracer in all bays. A fabulous asset for North Wales. Excellent Pro shop.

Course was in excellent condition, all the bunkers were raked and everywhere was well maintained. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I wish I had better things to say about this golf course but unfortunately I do not. Greens were shocking and extraordinarily slow for this time of year. Drainage is also a massive issue here as parts of the course are close to unplayable and we are only just in autumn. The fairways have not been taken care of at all and are extremely long in places. Massive clumps of mud have built up over time on the fringes of greens It’s ok for just a knock around but please don’t expect too much out of this. However this is not my first visit to clays and it has been ok before (normally on a Saturday morning when the green staff have just finished work on the course) avoid in winter months as unplayable but in summer is ok for a quick knock. Pro shop staff are friendly and helpful. Driving range is also very nice however the range balls have not been updated for what seems like 10 years which makes practicing here with any type of quality completely impossible. I don’t do reviews very often but I felt this need to be said constructively so the team at clays can improve the course condition and ultimately make it a more enjoyable playing experience for visitors and members.

Great if you want to hit a few balls, the range is covered so you can play in any weather, they have screens on each lane so you can play against someone else or just against yourself. Cheap, 90 balls for £9. Friendly staff. Well worth a look in if you're planning on taking up a sport.
