What an experience, the self service tills are like the 7th circle of hell. Every time you ask staff if they have something the reply is "have you looked online" (no I haven't as I'd like the item now, and I'm trying to use the high Street to keep you in a ****ing job !!!!) Not good and won't bother again

I find it embarrassing that the store is almost empty and the staff sends you on self-service. When I lose their job after they don't come crying that a machine does its job. And in the meantime prices are rising.

I would give this minus stars its so bad! Terrible service, no staff to be found all, self service tills and the only member of staff was one poor soul on their own with every till having problems. Won't be going back here ever again!

Excellent service. Approached a member of staff to find a shirt in my size. Unfortunately the store didn't have it. The member of management staff rang another store, sourced the correct size and offered to collect in her own time and bring it to store. This is over and above customer service and hasn't gone unnoticed.

Self checkout always ruins the mood. Shopping should be a pleasant experience why do you make your customers WORK?!? I have a job and it's not working at the till. Since self checkouts I am avoiding all Matalans and only go if absolutely nessesary. Think about it I am sure I am not the only one. Today for a 54 pound shopping I spent 30 mins at the checkout and had 4issues needing assistance. Terrible shop.

Little expensive poor selection on men's cotton shirts, Customer service exellent, Some women's dresses are awful

Such helpful customer service as I got seen by a lovely young lady at the checkouts straight away when entered the Unit Building regarding a parcel pickup. She was very helpful, kind and understanding. I then got seen by another lovely lady who was helpful, kind but seemed to be apologetic although it wasn't at all any of the staffs fault to why my parcel had been dropped off at matalan. I cannot thank you enough for all your help regarding a parcel pickup.

Great range of clothing. Went for myself and my son for clothes. Plenty of choice, easy self service checkout, staff were pleasant.

Good choice of clothes for the majority of people but everyone else my size buying trousers must have long legs. Most of the shirts are the opposite, too short in my size.

If you like scanning your own goods with tills that don't work properly you will love it, there was 1 member of staff dealing with all the issues. To make matters worse the item was broken.

As usual, found things great to wear, also managed to get their 10% off offer.

Nice products and tidy shelves and hanging rails. It was a disappointing long wait at the tills as one of the self checkout tills was not working.

Lovely store overall On our most recent visit there were buckets throughout the homeware section from a leaking roof which was a little concerning. We had a good look around at everything and noticed the Plus size section was pretty non existent. We checked the online store and found plenty though, although I'm sure larger sized people may want to be able to try items on in a changing room store; rather than having to wait for a delivery. Not many shoe sections either

Son was so excited to get a paw patrol you however it was the last one and there was 2 pieces missing! One of the pieces being worth £6.99 alone, I took it to the till and asked if we could have some money knocked off seen as it was missing pieces we were offered £1 off it! We ended up leaving everything and my son was very upset, the manager/supervisor was rather rude to us and we will not be returning, can not sell items with pieces missing for full price😡

The shop had had a revamp in recent times, now looks very smart & seems more spacious too. They have a small range of homeware which is nicely designed but not as extensive a range as the other homes retailer at the retail park.

Store has been revamped since our last visit and is a much nicer layout. Main store area clean and tidy. It's a shame the same can't be said about the toilet! It's a disabled loo with baby change facility. It was not clean, cobwebs and flaking paint, floor unclean. The loo roll was on the floor not in a holder, making it difficult if not impossible for a disabled person to reach it. And finally the loo door lock was broken so didn't fasten as it should. The state of the loo is why this gets 3 stars not 5.

Great shop great seasonal clothing collection. Plenty of space to move around safely during covid. Plenty of free parking spaces. Good size store.
