πŸ‘ This station is modern, clean and accessible to both platforms. I usually have a very good experience with the staff here as they are very welcoming and helpful. Only had a bad experience on one occasion - perhaps the gentleman was having a bad day. Overall, very satisfied. People often mention station, platform,

A pleasant town centre railway station. The staff in the booking hall are knowledgeable about the local transport system and are friendly. There concourse serves as a waiting room for one platform which has toilets, on the other platform there is another heated waiting room with live arrival/departure times displayed on a screen.

Update: This time it was the same person i guess and was quite nice and fast to give me the tickets, so i update the rating Unbelievable. The lady who was working at the ticket office this morning, Catherine”, gave my mom the wrong ticket and made us lose our train, it took 15 mins to buy just two tickets because she was too busy chatting with her colleague. Despite this she also gave me a new card even though i already got one, total joke.

I popped in at the weekend to book some tickets, and the lovely lady on the window, I believe her name was Cath, was absolutely spectacular. Very nice to talk to, very helpful and an absolute credit to British Rail. I hope she's there next time I need some help. Thanks :)

Nice station, reasonably clean. I love the paintings on the walk bridge to platform 2.

Town centre station recently refurbished to a bad standard. Not well looked after. Toilets inside supposed to be for rail users only but they are free and no other public toilets about. Undercover seating is available on both platforms and vending machines on platform one.

Fairly clean for a train station, staff are always friendly and great connections. Only issue is the lift was not working when I visited, I only had luggage so not bad for me, but would have been a problem for an accessible user.

The station main seating area is very drafty, but saying that the majority of train stations are. It makes matters worse having to sit on stone cold metal seats, but I suppose that is to detter rough sleepers I guess.
