This campground is beautiful but overpriced and cramped. They have very few full hookup sites and for the duration of our week stay the bathhouse and laundry was out of order. Which we were not told at booking or check in. We also were not offered a discount for the inconvenience. We have a 45 ft. Double drop frame fifth wheel and we were assured that they could accommodate us. The only reason we fit in the spot is because my husband has skills. If you’re looking for a spot by a lake filled with traveling construction workers, to park your smaller rig this campsite is for you. We could have avoided this by booking more in advance so that’s on us.

Disappointing. First of all a train runs right by the campground so be prepared for waking up at 5 in morning. They say they have WiFi but it is public and so many people use it it is impossible to get access to. The employees at store just shrugged and said they get lots of inquiries and complaints. There is not a place to swim from this location unless you book one of the sites around lake. When I inquired the employees said I could ask one of the campers if I could walk through their campground. The marina was great and if you drive a few miles great hiking trail. I think if you are local and just want a weekend this works. I personally would stay somewhere else next time.

Would not recommend if you want to stay for extended time or use your boat or your golf cart. It's worst than an HOA. Many rules that are confusing. We had to park our boat and trailer over a half mile away and was told we could not use our golf cart to haul our things to our motor home. My husband and myself are in our 60's and the temperature out side was 93 degrees. The young girl that told us that we could not have a golf cart was on one just like ours. Not to mention all the electric bicycles going all over the place with kids on them going through gates that they were not supposed to behind cars. They were so unfriendly and disrespectful. They did not give 2 cents and when we got packed back up after requesting a refund of $960.00 dollars for 25 days with not even full hookups she ok and took off to the office. When I got there she said can I help you and said yes I came to get my money back and she ok I just refunded. We then had to go through another gate on the other side of park to get our boat and trailer, you have to get them to open the gate. We sat there for 5 minutes blew the horn and they would not open it. My husband tried calling twice and they would not answer. I then decide to take my golf cart drive around the fence and drive over the sensor to open the gate for my husband who was sitting there in the motorhome waiting. I know that one bad experience does't define a company however this was beyond anything I have ever experienced in 60 years. I have never wanted to slap anyone else's child before but that little needed some attention. Not a good rep for the company. No personality or professionalism at all. I'm sure her parents are proud.

Allatoona Landing is a wonderful campground. But why only 4/5 stars? The sites aren’t perfect. Leveling can take a min for some while others flood (never get dry). But on the flip side, it has a great pool, playground, bathhouse, and laundry for the money. It does lack on water front spots, but if you’re not sold on that, this campground really is great. Also, best to come in via Lake Point (Emerson), not Acworth. You’ll drag.

For the last year of staying here the dump station has been leaking raw sewage outside onto the ground, it is impossible to use this area without walking in the raw sewage and then back into your camper. The connection leaks at the ground connection because the previous repair was not designed to be permanent the hose connection to the sewage dump is raised about 6 inch above ground so intense handling of the hose is nessasary while the connection is leaking. This is a very dirty place because the dump connection needs permanent repair. This area is soaked in sewage about 10 feet from a campsite.

What a nice place to camp. We stayed right on the water for a week. Close to Lakepoint ball fields! Great swim area right in front of our campsite. We had family and friends come stay at the campground too. The boys rode their bikes, swam in the pool, fished and played lots of basketball. Check in was easy and the security was great. We will go back to this campground. Very family friendly and great memories!

Overpriced and totally cramped. I would not recommend at all. Bed bugs in the cabins and the facilities were absolutely disgusting. The security is full of themselves and rude.

If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing campground, whether you are staying the night or 30, it's great. Yes, they have trains, but they are not that bad. The chugging puts you to sleep. We stayed here the month of January and March (max of 30-day stay). My husband is an amputee (had emergency surgery during January), and I'm disabled they bent over backward to help us out. Chris went above and beyond to help me out in so many ways. We are full-time living in our 5th wheel. The only thing I would add is if there is a problem with water or electricity, send out a quick text letting visitors know.

It's OK for what it is... an RV park with full time residents. It was busy and full. We tented with our RV families. Close to RR track crossing, real close and trains run about every 10 to 15 minutes ALL day AND night blasting their very loud horns with enthusiastic vigor. Not my spot, we have family that wants to camp but is afraid of bugs and trees. If that's you then this is your spot. One great thing here though is the moon rise over the lake. That's about it for me.

We have a horse trailer/camper. It’s nicer than most campers and far nicer than a tent. But this place won’t let us bring it. We only wanted to camp their to see some friends .

We spent the week at this campground. It was a beautiful park with amazing sites. When they say they have trains they mean it! Freight trains regularly pass by and blow the horns. My son was in love with this fact and after a day the adults barely noticed them. The playgrounds were great and all our children had fun playing on them. We had a couple ducks that made their home with us while we were there. Also had several kittens visit on occasion. The park itself is pet friendly and there were a lot of dogs, including our own. Staff was generally helpful although we did witness an argument between the security personnel and a cleaning person. The main issues we had were that the wifi and the cable was out the whole time but no one told us that on check in. So I spent awhile trying different things before our neighbor told me it doesn't work. We also lost water for several hours and when I asked the manager about an ETA on completion he didn't seem to care and just said sometime today probably. The REC room does need help. It was pretty bare. All in all it was pretty good experience.

I travel for work and have stayed in many campsites across the country. I booked a site for a month while working local due to the website and reviews. I was shocked when I arrived at all the positive reviews left behind after seeing the site on arrival. The price at 1200 is comparable to resorts on the beach yet this campsite is equivalent to sites that range 400 to 600 a month. They say they have grey water hookups yet they mean there is a hole about 40 yards away that you can dump grey water into. The trains truly are horrible all night long. The sites are minimal and unless you are in a rig under 30 feet you can't see the water at all at your site. I will say the bath house is great and the local crowd isant bad. My last complaint is I ask if I could exstend and I was told the max stay is 30 days then I had to leave for 30 before I could return yet several campers have been just moving sites but are aloud to stay as long as they want. I have a very nice camper that's new so I am curious as to why I was told no for a longer stay. When asked they said that's just policy. I would not return unless you

I can’t recommend this place enough. This is our first trip in our renovated van, and I was incredibly anxious about our first night, so I naturally planned the day out well in advance. We were seeing a concert in Alpharetta and needed a place to stay for the night. After booking with a public government ran campground, we realized we wouldn’t be able to get in past 10PM as their gates closed and they didn’t have a guard/codes to let people come and go as they please. I was recommended a couple privately owned spots and I’m so glad I picked this one. They were super informative, and they ALWAYS picked up the phone! I must have called four separate times with different questions, and they answered every question I had to where I never felt like I was walking into something I wasn’t prepared for. We arrived a little past 11PM and there was a guard at the front that helped us check in, gave us the codes for the bathrooms/the gates and a map to locate our spot. We had a great nights rest, slept in, checked out at 1PM, and are currently continuing our journey. Thank you, Allatoona Landing!

I had a wonderful young man from Allatoona Landing Service named Chris come to my Motor Home today to do some repair work on my TV Antenna . He was knowledgeable of what we was doing and helped me get my TV channels back. Thank you Chris you are awesome 👌.

Place is at the end of my Street. So I drive by it daily. Great staff, security off the chain. Flag my son for trying to drive in on his 4wheeler!.. lol.. They take this place seriously... Plus with the new lake pointe, moving here. Attracting all the rich. To come in, their ship finally has arrived.. Plenty of upper class coming and going now.. pushing us out, of our homes of 30 years. Yeah Code will flag u for leaving ur doggie bowl out. Lmbo.. God bless, enjoy our lake. P.S. watch out for the tree stumps..

There's a real nice place little overpriced by quite a bit didn't have sewer and the water pressure was really really low but in all an extremely safe clean environment for you and the children and the whole family to enjoy camping by the lake.

I rarely give 5 stars but the staff here is so friendly and accommodating, maintenance (John, his buddy, and the new girl!) are quick to resolve any issues and the bathrooms are always clean. I travel for work and have stayed here twice now. I plan to stay here 3 times a year when I travel to Atlanta. I've also stayed at Stone Mountain but the office staff isn't as friendly as here! I checked other campgrounds in the area and the people that run each campground are often grumpy. The internet is super fast and takes care of my work needs. There is an awesome walking trail that overlooks the water and restaurants and Target are close by. The highway is close too. It's really the perfect spot. I had one issue and the manager called me and fixed it immediately. I was so impressed. They really do care about this campground and their clientele that come to visit. My only wish is that there were more full hook-ups but that's because I'm a rookie camper and still learning!

We are happy with this campground and the friendly, helpful staff. We secured one of the few fully serviced and level sites. Ours was both wide and deep. Its location near the lake and hiking trails is good. The pool and clubhouse are well maintained. The wifi was excellent throughout our stay but we were located closer to the office area. The clean bathhouse is spacious, with ceramic tiled stalls. I like the security of the cameras and coded doors installed on the premises. We had an incident occur during our stay and Jeff and his staff worked to resolve the problem. We were impressed with how the situation was handled and in a timely manner. The only negatives are the proximity of the frequent freight trains and the laundromat which presently has only 1 working washer. FYI you can only stay 30 days every other month.

We stayed here for a few weeks while visiting family. It's an absolutely beautiful setting, especially along the water. The people in the office are super friendly and so accommodating. There's a freight train super close, so if you're a light sleeper you might think that's a negative. We enjoyed it and it didn't bother us after the first few nights. The only negatives we saw were with other campers that didn't clean up after their dogs and themselves. Dog poop littered the area near the tent sites and playground. Our site had lots of little pieces of debris (plastic shards, paper, foil etc) all over it. Also, there are signs all over to NOT feed the wildlife, yet people were. Several of the ducks looked sickly. Maybe they need a wildlife vet or rehabilitator to take a look at the ducks?

GUN SHOTS!!!! GUN SHOTS!!!! GUN SHOTS!!! Heard them multiple times all night and couldn’t sleep obviously! Spots are small and very uneven. No sewer or fresh water hook up for 55/ night 🤯 High way robbery for the price.

Pros: - My grandson could wade into the water. -Large campsites -Pool -Large playgrounds CONS: - People invaded our space! With chairs and setup in our space! - Boats would literally park in front of our campsites! - No privacy!

Chris was utterly the reason our trip was not ruined he was helpful AND had a good/calm disposition. Security was horrible front desk lady even worse ( think her name was Toma or something fake eyelashes long dark hair) She responds to everyone as if they are more than an inconvenience but a down right bother. I was over charged for my site was told I would be refunded not how much when I asked 2x ...alas still no refund. She is very rude so rude and discriminating against people I will be writing corporate as this is a corporate company. HIRE MORE LIKE CHRIS AND short girl blnd!!! Excellent job 👏 those 2. The stars given are for Chris and blnd girl in front.

Very full Labor Day weekend. Our site #74 was tight. We had to reposition our travel trailer, on an angle, in order to use our slideout and our awning. Very large trees stopped up from opening the awning all the way, even with repositioning. There was an empty site next to us, but because the site was reserved and paid for, and the park spoke with the person more than once but he kept indicating he still might show up, we couldnt switch sites. The bathhouse was clean and had lots of hot showers. The general store had numerous items in case you needed anything. Our cement picnic table was occupied (underneath it) by a duck with 15 eggs in her nest. She didnt bother us, and we fed and watered her daily. I would stay at this park again, but not site 74.

Firstly, staff is very friendly as well as the park having great facilities, spacious rv campsites for our 42 foot fifth wheel, and the proximity to to the hwy is great even though the park has a far away feel. I would love it if they had a dog park, but there is plenty of grass and the park provides a wonderful place to the walk the dogs .

Currently staying at site P16 very nice view on the water took some work to get level and within reach of power. BUT there is a 1000 megawatt bulb so bright you can’t even see your campfire I will never stay here again.
