We had a spa day for my aunties birthday. The spa was great. The steam sauna was a blast. The treatments were lovely, and the staff were really professional and friendly. The afternoon tea wasn't the best. The sandwiches weren't nice at all, but the cakes were yummy. Would definitely visit again for the spa.

Terrible Night ! Spoilt our wedding anniversary! We arrived and were downgraded on our room from the Loft Superior we paid for to the Loft Classic which was worse and smaller than any travel lodge or premier inn I have stayed in. 'Sorry we are a full house'. 20 minutes later the electricity went off (not the fault of the hotel). We were then advised after chasing up about the time for food which we had already paid for that we would only be served beef. This was the left overs from the Christmas parties that had to be cancelled. The food was terrible. No starters, no desert. We waited 40 minutes for our drinks and continually somebody came over with the wrong drinks. I advised 6 members of staff that my wife was vegan and still she was served beef. No communication. We were then attempted to be charged £21.70 for two drinks even though we had already paid and had a credit for our meal. We couldn't use the Spa as it was closed and have so far been offered £40 refund on a night that cost £201.50. I am still waiting for a manager to contact me regarding this. The manager that was dealing with it who promised so much is now off work. I will never visit this hotel ever again and will retract the payment made on my card as a scam.

It was a works award evening. The event room was beautiful & well dressed. The service was quick with the food, the only thing was the waiters/waitresses & supervisers didn't smile or make eye contact. I think this would be a nicer experience. The food was really nicely presented & very tasty. Really enjoyed the evening.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating but disappointed with the rooms. We booked using a virgin experience voucher and were given a double classic room. Bed was very comfortable and big, room was spacious but. Bathroom needs updating, marks and cracks in the bath, grouting all discoloured and mouldy seals rounds the shower. Cheap offerings of biscuits and hot drinks. Was definitely missing that luxury we were expecting in such a prestigious place. Wouldn't stay again.

We live in Liverpool so we decided to take a night away from the children for some great sleep. Well I unfortunately booked for the text day so the woman at the front desk switched the dates and I just had to pay more, no big deal. Well during this process she said we only have one room with a bath tub we said we don't really need one, we're happy with a shower. Well she was able to get us a room with a tub. I'm not kidding you everytime the elevator was used we heard it, slamming of doors for breakfast we heard that. Next door something was going on so they kept us up all night. We got in at 11 and left at 6a.m we planned to enjoy the spa and breakfast but we were so exhausted and frustrated we just checked out and stayed in travel lodge so we could sleep somewhere quiet. I can tell you one thing it's ridiculous to pay that amount to have a nice stay and pay half and have a better stay in travel lodge. We told the same girl who checked us in how loud it was and how we haven't slept her response was sorry. Like okay? Thanks for the customer service. Won't stay here again I don't mind driving to Bolton, Chester or the titanic in Liverpool for a quiet sleep and enjoy full spa. I was so excited to stay here and enjoy the spa with some breakfast. Everyone has told me how much they love this place and how we should have girl trips there. So I came with my partner to test the waters. The absolute worst stay of our lives. P.s the hot water didn't work in our room so unless we used a kettle we weren't bathing in the tub.

A lovely spa experience! A wonderful treatment, although I would've expected the therapist to tie their hair back. The spa facilities cold do with some TLC and a deep clean, but overall, a lovely day. The shower in some treatment rooms (not all treatmentrooms have their own shower) and ladies' spa changing area could do with a good bleaching and replacing the silicone sealant - patches of yellowing with significant black spots. The shower controls in the Thermal Heat room needed maintenance attention; the shower heads were suffering from limescale build-up. The sauna would benefit from a sand-timer to monitor the passage of time. The seating in the steam room and mud had sharp right angles - safe but uncomfortable to relax on. Rounding the edges would help finish off these facilities. Overall, it was a lovely if average day, certainly made by the staff.

Great place if you want to be somewhere remote and play a bit of golf or enjoy a quiet Sunday morning in the spa/pool. Resort and spa facilities are great, decent sized pool which isn’t too busy and both steam and dry saunas available. Parking onsite can get busy, not many food options around but overall a great place to visit

We revisited this excellent spa hotel and were equally as impressed as we were the first time. Although it is a golf resort, non golfers can enjoy its location too. The hotel ammenties are excellent with very comfortable rooms and beds. The breakfast is delicious, as are the meals available ìn the Fairway in the evening. The pool has easy access for anyone with mobilty problems and the adjacent sauna, steam rooms are very pleasant. There is also well equipt gym. The whole atmoshpere is very relaxing and all the staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great day out here playing golf. The golf course was in great condition. Well looked after and greens in perfect condition. The pace of some of the groups were slow, so much so that we caught up with a group in front after 3 holes and then got stuck as they were behind 3 slower groups of 4. But the course is certainly worth visiting and playing, plenty of water hazards so makes you improve your game to keep the ball in play and safe.

Quality of afternoon tea was great. Let down by the state of the toilets. Very dirty, obviously regular cleaning is needed as wouldn't have got so bad otherwise. Service of food and drink was good and venue is a lovely place

We enjoyed our stay, staff was great. The hotel is nice and clean, we loved the bath. The pool is nice. The only thing we may change is the breakfast, it seems too simple nothing like luxury.

The Service was excellent. By far the best massage I have had in years. Dry and clean pool area. Delightful food and great service. however facilty required attention such as: 1) non operational steam room in the thermal suite 2) no door locks for the shower 3) non adjustable shower temperature as a result of which one would have to take shower in constant hot water. 4) no life gaurds or no service personnel to check pool areas for hours. 5) cold dinning areas during breakfast. 6) breakfast was not topped up fast. I could hear the chef scream "Service" 4 times before the food was bought out. 7) out of plastic cups near the pool area, lacked attention.
