We
were
staying
close
by
for
a
few
days
and
The
sparrowhawk
was
recommended
by
one
of
the
locals.
We
booked
dinner
on
the
Saturday
evening
and
were
so
glad
that
we
did.
I
rarely
eat
out
and
leave
feeling
that
I've
received
exceptional
value
but
the
sparrowhawk
certainly
did
this.
The
food
(cauliflower
fritters
followed
by
feathered
beef
and
a
raspberry
tart)
was
exceptional,
the
portions
a
good
size.
Despite
it
being
very
busy
(150
can
be
seated
at
any
one
time)
the
service
was
warm,
helpful
and
efficient(without
being
overly
so).
The
local
beer
we
had
before
the
meal
was
also
a
top
pint!
While
not
the
cheapest,
it
certainly
wasn't
expensive
for
the
quality
and
was
great
value.
It
was
clear
why
it
was
so
busy
and
I
highly
recommend
a
meal
here.
PS
I
don't
know
why
the
beef
was
listed
on
the
menu
as
"feathered"
but
it
was
melt
in
the
mouth
delicious!
