We had a prior bad experience here with wrong items and wrongly made food and the manager was more than helpful in making it right and gave us taco bucks. We went back and used them and they really redeemed themselves on this visit. The staff was friendly and the food was great. Everything was made right and tasted really good. My husband had the double decker tacos and said they were some of the best tacos he has had from fast food. I had the chicken street tacos and they were awesome!! Only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they tend to be a bit on the pricier side.

This Taco John's in Clear Lake, Iowa is great. The employees are awesome. The food is delicious. I highly recommend this Taco John's it's exceptional.

Would not recommend ordering from this location. I work DoorDash and there have been multiple times where they have made no effort to get the order done and I’ve ended up waiting 20+ minutes. There is often a burnt smell in the lobby, and it is not clean. The staff seems to care very little for their customers. Do NOT eat here.

Very slow and soft shells were crunchy. 20 minute wait for 4 softshells.

Wait in the drive thru for 25 minutes only to get home and find out part of your order is missing. Very disappointing.

Ordered drive thru and got to where I was going and noticed half my combo order was missing. I can't understand how that happens.

I ordered a meat and potato burrito, with no tomato. And they put pineapple in it instead, I didn't even know that was an option?

I ordered the super burrito with steak. I got it out to eat it and it was ICE COLD. AND there was maybe 2 pieces of steak which which was all at One end. My potato ones were lukewarm. I wasn't very happy. 16.00 for cold food isn't my idea of a hot meal

I ordered mango street tacos, and they look like a two year old made these, threw on shells and wrapped in foil. What a joke.

I absolutely LOVE Taco Johns. You can't go wrong with the six pack and a pound. I take the mild sauce out and add sour cream. My favorite menu item would have to be the chicken and potato burrito.. I sub the nacho with cheddar and add supper hot sauce! Hits that palate like no other. Been a favorite for a long time!!!

Nice location with a variety of food items. I got 2 cheese stacker quesadillas, a small fountain drink (which they do offer Dr Pepper at the Fountain), and Potato Oles with cheese dipping sauce. I would recommend this location if you were nearing Downtown or just wanted something to eat. I hope this location continues to be a good location for someone wanting some food.-Shy_Gun670

Always make a stop when we are town. Does not disappoint. We will continue to be back. I do miss the mexirolls those were the best

Food and service was fast. Potato ole's were perfectly golden brown also.

Giving this place 1 star due to whatever management decision that has lead to the workers feeling the need to ask me to wait at the first drive through window after paying. Bunch of metric BS.

I wish I had a good review to post of the mason city TJ, but I cannot remember the last time I had a positive experience. I can count on this restaurant to mess up my order 9/10.

The place itself is fine, staff is usually pretty good, food itself is good. Just don't online order and modify your food, it seemed to throw off their whole team.

Iowa is in it's own world for sure. But... every single time I go to Iowa I have to stop. Way better than taco bell!! Potato oles are so dang good. Add sour cream, and cheese dip. Yum!

I waited in the drivethru lane longer than I wanted to; anticipating the crunch chicken and potato stuffed burrito. Finally, the lady who came in the wrong way, who was behind me, gave up on her potato 'oles and backed up and left. I followed suit and left as well. There is no way that fake Mexican food is worth waiting that long; specially since there was none else in the parking lot. As far as the food goes, I guess I will never know know how good/ bad it is.

There was only 3 people working. One going between drive thru window and front counter, another making food and one taking drive through orders. I went about 4. Food was hot and good. Customer service was 5 stars. I only gave 5 stars because I had to wait about 6 min for my order.

Mediocre at best ordered soft shell with no lettuce and it was all shell with a dab of meat. Long lines and first time in a drive thru having to sign for my order being over $25 that was weird. I am not a fan of fast food tacos but the hubby and oldest wanted tacos so we did and instant regret expensive taco shells!

Food is great and service is fast. Ordered six pack and a pound the other day and tacos were so greasy we couldn't eat them. So I called and spoke to the manager and he asked what we ordered and how long it would take us to return. Within a few min. He had a complete fresh new order waiting for us to pick up. Now that's a great manager and how you keep your customers coming back, and we will deffently be back again.

Good food fast. Sometimes they get a little hectic in the drive thru but the service has always been good.
