Wife and I look forward to eventually experiencing a sunset dinner cruise and maybe a margarita/taco cruise. Did the daytime historic Mississippi cruise and it was relaxing; luckily they had the inside sitting space with AC as it was pretty warm when we went. Beers are $6 and a Jack/7 was $7; pretty standard pricing.

Great view on the river, easy to get to, free parking, good food. Cannopied top deck and nice dining hall down below with AC.

The boat was a nice relaxing ride, yet was fun to ride on. The little tidbits of information about the Mississippi River was educational and fun. Saw Geese and two Eagles. Even though it was a bit warm today, the breeze coming in was nice. The also had the air conditioning on a bit inside to help. The crew were friendly and helpful. We will go again to see the fall colors.

What you see is what we enjoyed. We truly did enjoy. Especially the lady. Thank you riverboat cruises for an enjoyable dinner and time. God willing. This was such a fun way to end a Wednesday! Margaritas on the Mississippi! The weather was perfect, music was chill, food was good! Great date nite!

There are two bars to sell concessions. They choose to only have one open so the line is long the entire ride. The front doors slam loudly every time they close. How much us a door closer? Do the Monday $10 special, that's all it's really worth.

I really enjoyed the Monday afternoon sightseeing cruise. Drinks and snacks are affordable. Cruise was only $10 per person. Book in advance online.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in the area. With good weather, and great people, this trip can be very memorable in every way. Great opportunity to have some drinks and be a part of some great conversations. The tour guides tell some great stories, and explain some of the things the boat will pass. Kids would love this so much since you’ll see some animals on the shores or eagles for them to see. They can learn a little bit about the history, and you can relax as they can’t go too far since you’re on a boat. I highly recommend doing this at least once! Make sure the weather is good. Although for us it was a little hot, the breeze outside felt great, and when it got too hot we came inside and the AC felt great. The outside area though was a bit crowded. Such a great time overall! 8 out of 10 for sure.

There was a little confusion as there was another ship rented for a wedding but we had a nice time! The tour was guided, with little facts & tidbits as we strolled along the Mississippi River. They offered cheap food & beverages. My only complaint was the seating up top, I wish there was more tables

Fun, friendly great way to unwind. 1) Buy the drink on the internet, if you drink - it's well worth it. 2) The staff and crew are wonderful. 3) The meal is delicious. Even if you are vegetarian - you will LOVE the vegetables. 4) for non vegetarians both the the chicken and the before come with wonderful reviews.

We went on this with people from work. Very fun group activity that's not too expensive. Everyone had a great time. Will definitely do again.

My mother and I did the evening margaritas/tacos tour last week. It was really very nice and relaxing. There wasn't a large variety of things to see on our trek down and back but it's still well worth it just for the calm cruise and good conversation. I would definitely come back and do it again. We've already recommended this type

We had so much fun, and the weather on the top was amazing. There is an air conditioning at the first level and restrooms were so clean. Parking is available at no cost. I recommend you buy the soft drink online as it will be cheaper and unlimited refill. Enjoy it!

This was a nice little cruise on the Mississippi River. There was some narration and history. It would have been better with some music when not narrating but all in all was pleasant

A relaxing way to see the northern Mississippi! We took a 1.5 hour sightseeing cruise, and it felt like the right amount of time to get a sense of the river scenery. The first deck has AC, tables, snacks to buy, and an old-fashioned feel. The upper deck is open but covered for shade, with patio-style seating. On the Thursday we went, the boat was sparsely attended so we could easily walk around freely and our large group could relax and chat. Our 2 year old toddler had a great time too.

This was a very fun experience. We celebrated "Black Pride 2023." The captain and staff was nice and professional!

It's just ok. Pretty mediocre food and drinks. Only one bartender for the whole boat inflates wait times. Uncomfortable cheap patio furniture. The trip was good though, great views down the river and of the St Paul skyline. If you can swing getting to Stillwater their riverboats are a dramatically better experience.

We've had a season pass the last 2 years and it never gets old. We bring different friends each time and there's always something new or different. Highly recommended.

It was a nice ride.

I enjoyed the gentle sway of the boat, combined with the soothing sounds of the water. It created a serene environment that was ideal for a date. The setting was ideal for meaningful conversations and enjoying each other's company. We enjoyed the scenic views along the river, which contributed to the overall charm of the ride. However, there were a couple of downsides that impacted my overall impression. Firstly, I found it somewhat frustrating that there were no clear directions to the parking area. It would have been helpful if clearer instructions were provided to avoid this issue. In addition, although the ride was enjoyable for adults, it did not seem to be as well suited for pre-teens. In the absence of specific activities or entertainment geared towards younger passengers, they felt bored and unengaged.

I cannot thank the Paddelford Riverboats team enough for all of their help during our wedding planning and the day of the event. Thanks to event coordinator, Rachel, we were well ahead of schedule AND under budget, and, thanks to the crew on the boat, the event itself was absolutely seamless. The venue was awesome, the food was amazing, and it was worth every cent we spent. Thank you, Padelford Riverboats, for a stress-free wedding and some awesome memories. :)

Dinner the sunset dinner cruise. The scenery was lovely. The boat is showing its age. For the price, I expected a much nicer dinner. This was less than average. No tablecloths on the old tables, and the food was terrible. Prepared off site, mushy salad, moldy dinner roll. The chicken was tasty for those who received a decent portion. I got one wing and smallest drumstick I’ve ever seen. Glad I was there with good company to offset the disappointment.0

Four of us took the two for one margarita with complimentary taco bar cruise. Great fun. I got a Groupon, and accidently messed up the booking. They were ever so polite and accommodated us anyway. The cruise was fun, and a good length. The food was surprisingly ok. Guacamole plate is a fair add on. Margaritas, overly sweet, but at 2 for $7, who cares??? The bartenders were cheerful, announcements were short and helpful. Both the tourist and locals in our group had a ball.

Had a chance to enjoy a leisurely ride down the Mississippi on the Jonathan Padelford last Sunday afternoon. They have it set up for social distance and safety, so it was a pleasant ride, not overly crowded. The colors were beautiful, saw some wildlife, a few barges and a number of other boats. A nice way to spend a lazy afternoon.

Cruises down the Mississippi to see the river! It can get a bit chilly on the water if it is not a very warm day out, so make sure you dress for the weather or you might have a less than ideal time. Still a cool trip though

You can drive up d down shepherd road etc and never get to REALLY see the river. Highly recommend taking a boat tour! Lots to learn and see. Loved it

The boat is showing its age a bit....but that's just fine! Some things are BETTER when they don't change... The staff was very nice and as a boater on the Mississippi....I was amazed at the Captians skill to navigate some I interesting situations...they ate truly "river boat Captains"! Definitely a Summertime necessity!

Absolutely fantastic- we took the sunset cruise and enjoyed breathtaking views , 2 hrs of relaxing time away from the city noice with a very polite and informative crew , super easy parking and they even accommodated our dietary restrictions with a very tasty meal - it is a must

4 of us went on this boat ride Sept 19, my birthday. We bought unlimited alcohol drink tickets & pop, quite worth it. Pic is a view from boat on the way back. The story they tell could've been louder, hard to hear at times. Tables are 6 ft apart, they do practice social distancing, masks required to board & walk around. Had a lot of fun, would do again in the summer & try the rib dinner.

I was able to take a riverboat cruise on a Thursday morning in October with Paddelford Riverboats. I had a lovely time! It's a truly unique way to experience the river and the city. The cruise went up the Mississippi and turned around near Fort Snelling (my memory is fuzzy on this). We saw some gorgeous fall colors, and some wildlife - a bald eagle, in fact! It was a truly lovely way to get outside and feel the sunshine in a relaxed environment. One thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the historical voiceover, but it didn't take away from the experience overall. If you're going in the fall, dress appropriately for the weather - it can be chilly on the deck, especially if you're not in the sun - but know that you wan always go inside if it's too cold. Great experience!

Beautiful downtown St Paul 😍

Had a great time with the Padelford company today. We had booked on the 2:30, but were delayed finishing our lunch- and considering the Pandemic, the only place open was a food truck on the other side of the parking lot. The crew, graciously, waited over 10 minutes for us and were very polite once we got on. Once on the cruise, everyone was very professional and we had a great time. Thanks and we will definitely do it again

My children and I absolutely LOVE the river rides with Padelford! I got the family season pass and it has surpassed my expectations. It's a perfect mini getaway or just something to do, and the staff is always very friendly and welcoming. There's not much I feel comfortable doing with my littles during this pandemic, but we feel always safe and comfortable during our rides. I highly recommend getting the season pass especially if you live in the area, it's definitely well worth it.

Great day on the river! Tour was beautiful & informative. We ordered box lunches of hot dogs & we loved it! All staff wore masks and we were assigned tables socially distanced. And, since we were up top outside we felt really safe.
